5.0 out of 5 stars High quality Tamagoyaki pan that works on induction hobs

    R.B. · 17 July 2023

I owned one of these previously but I threw it out because it didn't work with my induction hob.I do use this pan to make rolled omelettes but I mainly use it for making grilled cheese sandwiches. The pan fits a slice of warburtons bread perfectly with around 5mm space on each side. The front side of the pan is angled so you can easily get a spatula underneath whatever you are cooking. The pan feels solid with a nice wooden handle and the base is perfectly flat so it works well on an induction hob. It seems to have some kind of non-stick coating so I'm careful not to scratch it when I use the pan.Cleaning the pan is hassle-free thanks to its non-stick surface, I just run it under a hot tap and wipe it out with a damp cloth. The instructions were pretty funny, the usual poor translation from Japanese to English states the pan should not be used for cooking. I guess it means not to be used in an oven due to the wooden handle?Whether you want to make rolled omelettes or want the perfect grilled cheese pan, I would recommend this pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robust

    M. · 21 June 2024

Love rolled omelettes so I've finally bought the pan. I've done a three egg one comfortably in this. Not the biggest pan so a bit on the expensive side but it feels solid with a decent non stick coating and a comfortable wooden handle. On a par with a higher end non stick frying pan I bought recently for a similar price

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made, small size

    T.D. · 21 September 2023

Its a really nice pan. Although I checked the dimensions before buying I was amazed at how small it was when it arrived. Perhaps I should apply the carpenters adage of "measure twice, cut once" in future. Still I am looking forward to trying it out. I cant fault the construction of it. There are some small scratches on the pan probably caused by stacking in the warehouse but after a couple of uses it would have ended up that way. Such is the fun and adventure of shopping on line. It can be a bit of a lucky dip at times.

I've been looking for one for a long time and I'm pleased that this exceeds my expectations. It truly is non-stick and works well with both gas or induction hobs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pan.

    W.w. · 19 March 2023

I love this pan. Even a novice like me , can turn out rolled eggs similar to a pro. Well almost with a bit more practice. But so proud if myself. The pan is easy to clean, and I love it, it's not the cheapest but I don't do cheap. Middle if the price range suits me fine.I am a big fan of Bento boxes and I have many different kinds, so this fits in well with my preferred choice of pack up food.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rusty after two weeks used

    A.C. · 7 April 2024

Very disappointed. Two weeks later, the pan became a stick pan (not a non-stick), and rust started from the middle part of the pan and on the edge. Therefore, no star 😤, but had to give a star.I want a refund if possible.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good solid pan but nonstick coating lets it down

    A. · 7 March 2024

I started using the pan most days and after a couple of weeks the nonstick coating had begun to come off. I only used silicone cooking utensils and washed it as directed. Looking at other reviews I see I’m not the only one. It’s a shame as now even when well oiled the pan sticks terribly in these areas. Disappointed and wouldn’t recommend anyone buy it unless they maybe want to use it once a year as a novelty.
