    Difficult to set, the metal trigger is so small the mice do not seem to go near it and one actually fell apart as I tried to set it, bit caught one mouse!

    I'm used to using spring mouse traps and they can be fiddly to set. However 3 of the traps wouldn't work when set and even when I pushed the bait pad, they still didn't snap closed.

    The `Little Nipper` brand has been around for many years. These mousetraps have a strong spring and with care they will last for years. This is the first time I`ve had to buy more in 6 years. Like many humans mice will tend to find a nice dry shelter when it`s very wet and cold weather, especially if they can smell food. Take care when setting the spring trap, keep fingers well out of the way, it can hurt !!! impale a small amount of enticing food (I use a couple of soggy cornflakes) on the metal pin on the moveable platform BEFORE you set the spring.     Only half of these traps were successful the other half bait was taken without setting the trap off. This is because the triggers were made too long and not matter how much I tried to adjust them they wouldn't trigger at the appropriate time.
