5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect French Press
Flawless, high quality French Press. Have used every day for 3 months with no issues. Fantastic design holds 2 cups and keeps coffee at perfect temperature. Easy to clean.
3.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous but expensive
This is a beautiful piece of kitchen/diningware and the finishing and functionality is impeccable. However, functionally it is the same as models costing a fraction of the price and I would struggle to justify the purchase on anything other than aesthetic grounds.
5.0 out of 5 stars The secret of getting full flavour from the beans is important for this cafetier.
Rough grind 4 measures of beans. For two or three cups grind more measures of beans according to taste.Boil water and leave for 30 seconds.Preheat flask with some of the water.Empty out water from flask.Add ground coffee to flask.Add enough of the recently boiled water for one cup or two or three cups if extra beans have been ground.Place extended plunger loosly over the flask. After one minute, using wooden spoon gently break the crust over the contents of flask and stir.Place lid on caraf with plunger fully extended.Allow to steep for 4 minutes,Gently push the plunger all the way down.Gently raise the plunger AND REPEAT AY LEAST ONCE.Serve immediately with or without adding hot milk to the cup.Afterwards cleaning is easy.Gently brush residue on filter away. Two or three times, dilute the coffee grounds in the flask with water and empty into very fine sieve.Enjoy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Elegant looking and aesthetically pleasing French press
I got this French press coffee maker as a replacement for my old one that is not functioning properly, and I have got to say I am super impressed, it is not my colour, but my wife chose it.This cafetiere has a rose gold high-grade stainless-steel body that looks classy and luxurious at the same time. It has smooth curves and an elegant solid walnut plunger knob which are inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design. It is equipped with a dual filtration strainer and a vacuum-layered body that allows you to add or reduce sediments. Its capacity is up to 24oz or 680ml that can fill two large or three small cups of coffee or tea. This can be also used as a tea press or serving jug by just simply removing the plunger. When I first saw this, I was truly amazed by its appearance. This is truly an upgrade to my glass one. Don’t get me wrong I still like how my old one looks because of its retro and vintage design, unfortunately, it has some small cracks on the base plus it is not keeping my coffee or tea hot just like before, so I am glad that I have this stainless French press. It is working perfectly and its design and looks made it even better.Overall, this is a bit pricey, but for the look, quality, and functionality it is definitely worth it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking press, easy to use, expensive
This is a very nice looking item, is easy to use and clean and keeps your brewed coffe warm for a long time.It will look nice in any kitchen and is a very premium looking item, but I simply can't justify the £70 asking price. If you can get it with a voucher that is often available then it is more desireable. If money is not a concern of yours then you won't be dissappointed with this item and it will increase the sofistication of your kitchen.
5.0 out of 5 stars Looks stunning and makes great coffee
I recently moved in to a new work place and to my disappointment, there was no coffee maker and neither do they allow bringing a personal electric coffee maker (for understandable reasons). Had to find an alternative and in comes the French Press Coffee Maker by CAFE CONCETTO. Below is my experience after using it for a few weeks:Pros:Looks stunning in rose gold. Turned out to be a ‘head-turner’ in my workplaceSuper easy to cleanSimple operation (like any other French press)All steel construction so no nasty plastic tasteMakes around 3 cups of coffee which is exactly how much I drink at workThe second cup is reasonably hot after 2-3 hours. The third cup is lukewarm but definitely drinkable after 5-6 hours. I just pop the last cup in the microwave to heat it a littleNot too heavy but not light eitherCons:At around £50 after using coupons, it is a bit expensive but the quality is certainly reflected in the priceTip:As soon as I get to work, I fill the jug with hot water and leave it for about 10 minutes whilst I setup my work space. This heats up the jug and keeps the coffee warm for long.Hope you found this review helpful.
4.0 out of 5 stars Stunning coffee press
If your looking at this, you likely know what a coffee press is and for that purpose it does a solid job. Really here your paying a premium for the looks really and boy does it look good. It comes in a simple brown box, but open it up and voila presented with this stunning looking press. Its easy to use, wipes clean easy and no complaints of note. The price is an odd thing through. Right now £70 which is too much, but you can apply a £20 voucher knocking it down to £50. That is more reasonable and I expect this will be one of those listings that will more often then not have a voucher pop up to use as the base price is a wee bit too much to be honest hence 4 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a lovely thing, No more replacing glass inserts!
Ordered this to replace the glass one that i broke (again!!) We were so impressed with this style (over the glass style)More expensive than the glass one, but saves cost after several breakages. It also keeps coffee hotter, so far it seems to make a very nice cup of coffee, and it pours well. And even nicer for the fact there is no plasticI love this pot. Warm it first to ensure second mug of coffee stays hotI got fed up keep having to replace the glass parts of the cafetiere. This is a fab alternative, Definitely a step up, it's an attractive and robust design, and most importantly, it keeps the coffee piping hot much longer than the glass models. It pours well and is easy to clean. Nuff said!
Elegant, perfect for one person, keeps coffee HOT, great customer service
This is the perfect one person press. Coffee stays remarkably hot for a very long time, great build quality, and it's aesthetically beautiful. My press arrived with a small but noticeable defect (the wooden plunger was tilted). I reached out to Concetto's customer service; Neil responded quickly and resolved the issue. The quality of Concetto's product support equals the quality of the product.
Its simple and it works
It has a nice look, and handle affixed at top and bottom and it is perfect for two cups of hot french press coffee. Mmmmmmm
Nice, but made in China, not Glasgow
Got this yesterday. Nice looks and comfortable to hold. It's smaller than I expected (see photo with wine bottle for comparison). I was misled to think it was made in Glasgow, which would explain the high price. I was disappointed to see it is actually made in China, according to the box (see photo) . I was also disappointed that the filters don't have a rivet in the middle, like my old Bodum filter (see photo). I'm considering returning the item.
Pricey but good
While I think the $100 price tag a bit high, this French press is very attractive, easy to clean, and does keep the coffee warm. Recommend.
Quality
I wish it would make a large 2 or 3 cups. It's perfect in all validity if you drink too much coffee. I look forward to my morning 1 and 1/2 cups of coffee. It's quality, and I savor every drop. Light but even weighted. It feels nice to handle, and looks nice.
