My top floor room is very well insulated, but gets super hot during a heat wave... like 26 to 28 degrees inside, at night, even after leaving windows open since evening. This heat becomes unbearable when trying to sleep. Tried a large powerful fan but it just blew warm air... Had caved in and bought this. So glad I did. It instantly cools the room down. Depends where you direct the vents and in which direction of the room though. It will cool that area of the room most while other parts of the room remain slightly warmer. Still, could not have slept through nights without it. It's a must now that 30 to 40 degree heatwaves happen every summer due to climate change and will only get more common as time goes by. It is noisy, yeah, but not more than a powerful fan. I got used to sleeping with the white noise generated by the air con or fan.I had to buy a separate, longer hose that will go out of my top window; and a separate window kit as well. If you're suffering with the heat, get this and you won't regret it. I have been using this for more than a year to cool my nearly 4 by 4 metre bedroom and it works so well.

So the recent heat convinced me to finally pull the trigger on getting a portable ac. If I lived in a house and not a flat I think I’d have just drove myself mad installing a proper wall one with an external compressor but this is the best I can do in my flat.I did my research around these before buying and they’re a bit odd really cause none of them have super great reviews, always very mixed. The issue that is most common with these (that I’m not sure how could be avoided because there are so many loud parts to an ac and you’ve got it all in your room) is noise. This is loud, there’s no two ways about it. For me I can sleep fine with it and actually quite like the white noise but I could sleep through a bomb going off. Most people will struggle with it, it’s a dull droning with occasional assorted louder sounds. When you have the temp control on and it switches the ac part on and off it’s sometimes fairly quiet, sometimes sounds like a car door closing. Personally none of this bothers me and seems ubiquitous to these units, something to be aware of though.As for the cooling it’s not as good as I hoped, getting down to 16 degrees is a hope and a dream I feel but it’s still quite good. Went from 28 to 21 degrees in a couple of hours, then 20 steadily. Haven’t tried to go lower than that cause it feels colder than that with the circulating cold air. From how the temp drop slows though I’m sceptical of getting to 16 if it was running all day. Temp drops fairly steady, but once the ac part turns on (warms up for a min) the air is ice cold and even if the ambient temp hasn’t dropped loads yet that circulating cold air makes it feel much colder than it is. This is using it in a medium sized bedroom with the door closed.Included window seal for hinged windows is ugly but they have a YouTube vid for putting it on that’s helpful. Not hard to do and seals decently. I found a site online to get a Perspex window sheet with a cutout so might do that down the road.Overall I’m pretty happy with it. It’s loud, expensive and it doesn’t cool quite as well as I’d hoped, certainly not as well as a proper wall mounted system but it’s still quite good. It made the suffocating heat in my flat (atleast my bedroom where I have it) a comfortable cool, walking out of my room and back in with it on you can feel the huge difference even when the thermometer says it’s only lowered a few degrees.Definitely need to know what you’re getting into if you buy it but I like it. Haven’t used the app but the remote works well.

The media could not be loaded. Nice compact unit, very efficient, easily cooling a room with area just about the size quoted, have not tried it in a bigger room but seems like it would cope. Comes with a hard plastic vent kit for sliding sash window which could be left in place and still be secure and a Velcro and fabric kit for hinged casement windows which is only useful in an occupied home as it could be removed from outside and access gained. We have bought extra Velcro and can fairly easily move the kit from room to room if required and a longer 150mm diameter extractor hose so it doesn't need to be so close to the window. The power lead is about 2 metres. The controls are straightforward on the unit and by the supplied remote. Wifi app control is even easier. It was a doddle to connect to Alexa and we mostly use voice commands. Has two fan speeds, the option to circulate air only and a separate option for de-humidifying which we have yet to try. The fan is pretty powerful and subsequently quite loud. Having said that, we both manage to sleep with it running. There is a sleep function which turns the cooling down after an hour and then off later, but keeps the fan running. We just tell Alexa to "turn the aircon on for an hour" though. It can be programmed through the unit, app or Alexa to come on at a certain time. Very pleased

We've had this a week now. I bought a 6 metre extension hose too and taped it to the existing hose so it was long enough to go through the fan light of our double glazed lounge window. In the end it was far too long so we just cut the extension in half. We've not emptied the tank yet but it seems like it'll be straight forward. Seems to be well made and solid and good value for money. It is a bit noisy but nothing terrible. As its on wheels it's easy to move around.

The product it's self is a solid 4/5, cools down the bedroom at night perfectly to the point it's cold. only one issue is a weird rattling sound which when contacting pro breeze when following links on the order they did not respond at all which is not good.
