5.0 out of 5 stars £99 a bargain. Very quiet. Maintenance is key to longevity
I have owned 2 ninja airfries beforehand.I only bought this item as by chance I received a mobile notification of the spring sale and instead of being at that time usually £170 it was only £99.Emtronics is a company that appears to be based in reading and they have similar looking dual basket air fries since 2021 and it appears they have done some improvements to the reviews beforehand especially with the tray that used to fall out doesn't do so anymore with nice rubbers on each corner. It has nice grips at the bottom on either side if you're going to move it from A to B.It looks very impressive in stainless steel looking very high quality. You will note in the middle of the top of each of the black plastic mouldings on the side and on the top blow the digital monitor it's sort of wavers a bit it's not smooth it's been tightly fitted and slightly bent which is not noticeable unless you're going to be pedantic and run your fingers over it.It's very very quiet and humans compared to the roaring ninja that even the neighbors can hear it.Let me tell you the difference between dual basket and single basket air fryers. The timings that you would use for cooking anything in a single basket you will need to add 20% extra which is noted in the ninja dual basket instruction book where they give different timings if you're going to cook in a single basket or double basket adding about 20%.If you preheat for four minutes at 200 degrees then I have found so far in the first week this is not really necessary this one you can still cook at the same times as a single basket compared to the ninja dual basket. It is very easy to use very simple.I love the function where either you can match both baskets at the same time and same temperature which means if you're going to open it to give it a good shake or turn over any food it will not stop the timer it will still continue to make sure that both baskets will and at the same time.It also has the wonderful function that if you're going to cook something for example in 30 minutes and another 4 say 20 minutes they will both finish at the same time also and will stop the timer as you're giving it a good shake or flipping it over the food in question.I have made a pita bread which came at wonderfully at 160 degrees for 20 minutes preheated at four minutes.I cannot stress enough the importance to preheat the food because if you don't preheat the food it doesn't turn out as well as in a conventional oven. For me innocence all these air fries are basically electric grill where the fan which I questioned with all of them how wonderful they really are in spreading the air around especially when your basket is going to be even a third full or half full of chips how the air is going to circulate around to the bottom but it never does and hence you really need thongs for chips especially to make sure that the bottom can come up to the top and so they also received the heat from the heating element at the top. Also it's been proven that these air fries because they're on constantly compared to a conventional oven which uses a thermostat it actually works out no difference if not slightly more costly depending on the Watts of the airfryer. No this air fry has a 1750 watt power compared to ninja which has a 2,400 watt power. So the former is actually more cost effective in cooking in the same time if not less compared to a ninja so this is one very good thing. The baskets are very very deep which you cannot notice in the photos and so easily you'll be able to place a nice two and a half kilo chicken and it will cook wonderfully. Please please be very careful that when you're washing any air fryer basket to dry the screws immediately or else they will become rusty within a few weeks if you leave it to dry naturally. This is the mistake I did with the ninja and the screws have become very very rusty and we all know that oxidized metal is not good for your health. Also this model like most models are teflon non-stick and so you have to be very very careful to avoid using any abrasive cleaning item to clean the inside and best to soak it for half an hour in warm water soapy and then to use the soft side of a washing pad to clean it and then dry immediately please especially the screws inside I was there will become rusty and start to dislodge so over time. Also please try at least once a month to clean the top part where you're notice it will start to stain and devices to use vinegar at least and if you have bicarbonate of soda with it and scrub it with a old toothbrush and even with gif or equivalent it also helpful to clean around the heating element. The most annoying thing for all airflies is it's vertally impossible to clean under the heating element where the fan is and the rest of the top covering where it becomes nastily discolored and rusty looking. Not one if I company has made it manageable to be able to remove this and to clean it and so I think this is the Achilles heels for all air fryers. The ninja and kosovi are so-called ceramic coated and so they can be cleaned very well with an abrasive material however it is noted from other people they they do come off over time as well. The beauty about air fry for me is it's very easy to clean the baskets compared to a convention oven which has you all know you need a lot of elbow grease and lots of special cleaning equipment to remove the stains and dirt around the whole oven with lots of nooks and crannies to delve into. Now I had an opportunity to either buy this one which I did so for my good friend bought the one where you have like a convention Evan with two trays and they're very happy with that as well with good air circulation going to both trays. I think it's a matter of preference to go for the basket version or for the tray version of these air fryers. For myself the word airfryer is a mismore an electric grill it doesn't really circulate the air around to fry it's just grilling the food basically so regardless of all these options all these air fryers give you they will really do the same thing roasting an air frying I've noticed no difference in the ninja or in this model and regards to cooking chips or chicken or burgers or nuggets in any form of manner they are both being heated at 200 degrees for 20 minutes and I see no different of the end result at all. Please note that when you are first going to unpack the airfryer for any air fry please if you can either place some vinegar inside or just to let it run for at least 20 minutes to remove that manufacture plastic smell which you will find they all do this and it will dissipate about 20 minutes later and then it's ready to use once you've watched the airbaskets before and after this process thoroughly. It's very nice to make bagel pizza or pita bread pizza in these air fries very nice and quick to cook at 180 degrees for 8 minutes.I'm not yet tried to make cake as I'm not really confident it will heat evenly to cook a large cake but possibly small cookies and so forth will be more realistic otherwise for me multi-cookers more convenient to cook a large cake.I reiterate that plastic/ silicone thongs are very important to mix the chips when you're cooking them every four to five minutes I would say and slightly more so as you approach the time to make sure that the evenly cooked.I have cooked chips without any oil at all and you only difference is they're more firmer and they do caramelize slightly depending on the sugar content of the potato.Naturally the best way to cook chips is to circuit in water preferably salty to the reward of starch and then let it dry naturally or use tissue if you want to hurry and after preheating 200 degrees for 4 minutes then you can place the chips into the air basket.A nice little tip is to add a little bit of olive extra virgin oil and then your choice of salt or pepper or even paprika before you place it in the basket and it will become wonderfully tasty and crispy. For home chicken I would cook for 22 to 24 minutes turning it over halfway through and it cooks wonderfully mind you I've seen on YouTube people are cooking at the same temperature at 200 degrees air frying for 60 minutes and it appears to be cooked all so wonderfully so I don't know why it doesn't overcook compared to mine if I was to cook for 30 minutes and more to all start to become very dry from the outside and very crusty.I never really used a convention oven before I bought an air fryer except for making flatbread Turkish or Lebanese style in a large pizza tray and which I still do ( just flower three parts white and one part brown with water and just to leave in 180 degrees for 16 to 18 minutes).I find this dual basket is more conveniently placed in the dining room where I can cook and serve the food at the same time. Some people mention that the digital screen is not very easy and visible to read. For myself I find it is as good as the ninja both are visible and clear to read either and more so In darkness or where the bright light or the sunlight radiating onto it I see no issue at all.At the end of the cooking the ninja would bleep just once whereas this one will bleep several times and very loudly which you cannot control the volume leaping about 12 times and then it was shut off automatically. At least with the bleeping several times you would get the message that the food is done if you're not in the kitchen or far away. It would be nice if one could have a setting control in regards to the volume and the number of leaps and the interval of each bleep as well but that's an issue with all air friers they all have their own certain way and you cannot adjust it.For the price the same as when I bought the ninja af100 last year which I was most made with the uneven cooking and fast rusting of the nails inside and being ever so loud and only one leap that you may miss or overlook that you don't realize the food is ready as well. For £99 this was a totally utter bargain during the spring sale.I suppose most of these dual basket air fries are made in the same factory as they all looked remarkably similar to each other the different companies that'll make them being eight and a half inch by six inch same size and same width and length and height.Maintenance is key to have anyfrier last very long. My devices to maintain it well please and it will last for many years. The item comes with a 12 months guarantee.I read some reviews of dual baskets airfryer versions for any company where sometimes one fan they stopped working compared to the other fan and I will see you over time if that happens to myself. This particular air fry I'm very impressed by the quality of the item with very good instruction manual accompanying it good simple English or anyone to understand for the first time what to do.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap as "Chips" Amazing Value For Money
My rather old single draw air fryer gave up the ghost and since I bought my old one technology has come on leaps and bounds....confusingly so... decided to get a new one on a limited budget, looked at the reviews for this and all favourable so bit the bullet and bought it. It's amazing, super efficient, easy to use (as long as you follow the instructions as you should with anything tbh) can't fault it, probably my "happy" purchase of the year.. ☺️
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product for the money
Very impressive so far. Lots of cooking options. Smart Finish and Match Cooking options are useful. Needs a bit of watching for the first few uses as it cooks pretty fast. Capacity is great, seems well built and is quiet when operating. Instructions are good, as well, which you can't often say about a lot of products.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Air Fryer, couple quality issues
First things first, this is a fantastic air fryer. The food that comes out was indistinguishable compared to my parents Ninja that is the same size, but double the price. I got this on sale for £99, which is an absolute steal. The standard price (as of writing) of £139 is good, and definitely worth it if you want to save a buck compared to a Ninja. It cooks food the same as the Ninja, has the same smart functions to sync both baskets to finish at the same time, and heats and cooks just as quickly. So as an air fryer, it’s absolutely worth the money. My only problems with this air fryer, is that the plastic screen that covers the button is quite flimsy. It won’t cause an issue, or fall off or anything of the like, but where it isn’t as rigid, it can bow slightly when pressing buttons, but doesn’t impact the overall usage. The bigger issue is the tray inserts. The central handle to pick them up was quick sharp, at least of our unit. It’s not too bad now that the silicon has started to wear down and they’re a bit easier to get in and out of the baskets, but in the beginning, it would require a reasonable amount of strength to remove (which is good so you can toss food in the basket without the tray moving) but means the little handle in the middle can dig in quite a lot and hurts a bit. If they had rounded the corners a bit it may have helped. But overall, this is a fantastic air fryer, especially if you can get it on sale below the standard price
5.0 out of 5 stars Fab!
Like most people, I'd love a Ninja dual air fryer, but I had to compromise for something cheaper! I'm not sorry. This is a great product, easy to use, huge capacity, which is perfect for families, and easy to clean. I highly recommend it!
5.0 out of 5 stars A budget dual draw airfyer I can't fault.
The media could not be loaded. Firstly what can I say. This unit certainly completes and exceeds other brands out there. The only limiting factors are the size of the draws. They focus more on depth than width so one to keep a eye out. I demonstrate this in my video review.Had several airfyers in the past. My previous being a tower which unfortunately had a common draw fault. Had two and both were returned to Bolo. It had a over complicated draw detection system while this one has a more simple one. If it ain't broke don't fix it ha.Cooking is a breeze with this. The second draw extra helpful for when you wish to cook multiple food types at the same time. Smart finish allowing both draws to cook in sync and finish at the same time. Heats up quick and even has a keep warm function. If you haven't joined the air fryer revolution you can go wrong with this. It's functionality keeps up with the big guys but for a fraction of the cost.
