These were ok, but nothing special
I ordered these chocolates as a gift for a chocolate lover in my life because flavors sounded unique and interesting. While the presentation of the chocolates is quite nice, I was ultimately let down by the flavor profile.The chocolates all come individually wrapped in unique colored wrappers and it looks very much like a set of teabags which I found really charming. They come in a lovely white box with a purple foil peacock detail, and a lovely rich purple bow, so they really do look impressive when you first open them.Each chocolate is sorted into it's own quarter of the box with a plastic tray. The box also tells you the flavors, ingredients and nutrition information for each flavor separately which is great. There are 3 dark chocolate flavors and one white chocolate flavor. I wish being sold as a collection there were more variety, like a milk chocolate, or the trendy ruby chocolate that is popular.My favorite of the flavors was the "delhi kulfi crunch" as the pistachio, cardamom and saffron had the most "Indian" flavors to me, but it really is just a white chocolate with the nuts and spices sitting on top. Similarly the "mango madness" is just a dark chocolate with some dried mango bits in it, I wish it had more flavor. The other two flavors were also pretty mild and underwhelming.So overall the presentation was great, but I wish the chocolates had a stronger and more unique flavor profile to match the box and branding. For the price, I'd rather get one of the gourmet boxes of chocolates from the candy isle. A bummer really.
All the chocolates are very good except for the white chocolate variety.
Flavors:I loved all the varieties in this box of chocolates, outside of the white chocolate variety; it had a very strange taste that was almost sour. The other flavors are chocolatey, which a bit of a fruity finish.Quality:I'm a bit of a chocolate snob, and in my opinion, this is nothing more than slightly above average quality chocolate. It's good, but it's nothing particularly special.Value:Overall, I think the price point is a bit inflated for what these chocolates are, but it's not egregious.Bottom line:I enjoyed this box of chocolates, but it's not something I would purchase on my own outside of a review. However, I'm comfortable recommending this box of chocolates because I did enjoy all but the white chocolate variety.4 stars
