5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant piece of kit
Really happy with keyboard. Perfect for travelling.I used to have a very thin non-foldable keyboard but the keys were very exposed at the back of my bag and I lost a few. It also felt like it could break with the pressure when I had a rather full bag.I'm a minimalist traveler and can travel several weeks with an under-seat cabin bag. But I need my tech with me :)This little keyboard is perfect. It folds nicely. A bit thick but it still fits in with my iPad, and I can fit in many spaces in my bag. It feels sturdy. I like that the keyboard "wings" feels rigid enough when unfolded that you can use it on your laps. The keypad remains mobile - not sure why it's different. The way it unfolds is really good. There is no split or gap and the keyboard turns into a perfectly unified object. Really nice. The keys are comfortable, a little noisy but not more than most standard keyboards. The distance between the keys and bounce are good. You can set it to work with multiple devices and it's easy to switch. So the ultimate silly portable set up for me was iPad + mobile phone to reply to email while navigating on the other device :)1 bonus point I didn't find in other keyboard is that it also works connected via USB.The only cons maybe is that a few keys are smaller but it's totally manageable.Great piece of kit, good investment.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sleak designed,
This foldable keyboard was ideal for me to take with me, as I did not always want to take a laptop with me all the time. The foldable mechnisme worked well for over a month before breaking. The 5 channel connectivity option is useful, as this means that you can connect 5 different devices to the Bluetooth keyboard, however I found it useful to read the instructions on how to connect to the keyboard. As mentioned above, I was very disappointed regarding the durability and quality of this keyboard, as it broak after a month, meaning that I could not return the device for a replacement or refund.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, but feels cheap
Positives first: it works extremely well. The touchpad is responsive; tapping and clicking works as well as any Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad combo. All the keys are of a normal size, rationally positioned, and they have very crisp feedback for such a thin keyboard. It sits flat when unfolded, and the folding mechanism is clever and reliable (no two-part space bar on this one!).Negatives: it looks and sounds flimsy and cheap. The texture on the keys feels like any other bottom-shelf keyboard out there. Had they made the housing from aluminum and given the keys a nice MacBook sheen, this would be a $150 keyboard. Instead, I think it's about worth the ~$30 or so I paid for it. But I'd buy it again.
3.0 out of 5 stars 3* or 5*???
This keyboard has many positive points. A lot of effort has gone into some of the design details, and it is well made. It has a satisfying and cunning folding mechanism. Once folded it feels solid and secure enough to throw directly into my bag, without risk. It has a complete set of options to connect via bluetooth to all the main OS - Mac, iOS, Android, and Windows which works well. It also has a USB cable option (used for periodic charging, but also essential for initial pairing - or if like me, you get stuck with a BT keyboard without a cable that has lost its connection to the computer and so you cannot use it to log in anymore with a password!). The track pad is large, large enough to be easy to use productively. The keyboard itself has been reduced from the normal 6 to 5 rows. This compact design generally works well, with a couple of exceptions which I personally am having problems with. 5 keys have been reduced to half size, two of which I use a lot (/and?, ‘and “), the others are not important. I am a fast touch typist, but a slightly clumsy one, so I find it difficult to use these half keys without activating the return key at the same time.Another problem is that I find the keys very over-sensitive so that brushing neighbouring keys, very far from a full stroke, sets them off. The result of all this is that too often I find my cursor has jumped all over the place and the text is jumbled with extra symbols. No-one else here seems to be making the same complaint about sensitive keys, so it may be just be me, or possibly the high sensitivity of my keyboard is a fault. So for now I can only give it 3*, although I understand others giving 5*, if they don’t run into the same problems. Finally … For guidance about setting up, the enclosed notes are not great. The Bolo webpage for this keyboard is a much better source of information.
1.0 out of 5 stars Straight up garbage.
For the price I expected at least a functioning piece of tech. The touchpad is the worst I’ve ever used and repeatedly sticks or reads inputs incorrectly. Sometimes it just dies for no reason even when fully charged. The lights indicating it’s connected, charging or low on battery turn off in seconds so you have no idea if it’s got any or needs any charge in the first place. Honestly baffling to me how bad this is.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous
I have been looking for a decent keyboard to go with my tablet for a while and my partner came across this one to try and I must say its the best keyboard I have had. I am writing this review with the keyboard and it glides nicely when typing and keep up too as I am a very fast typer and keep up brilliant with me. Connecting the keyboard was super easy too and when you come to turn the keyboard off my the switch at the top put it away and then get it back out again you just turn it back on and the keyboard is still connected and the connect is brilliant too. I definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a decent one.
