    Great book with some limitations.I have tested several materials on the paper.Paper is suitable for :Ink, Artist pens (such as Faber Castell Pitt pens), Ballpoint pens, Alcohol Markers, Water colour and stampsall those work well. No bleed through.Paper is unsuitable for :Mechanical pencils, Fine liner pens (such as microns), Faber Castell polychromos color pencils, Crayons, Oil pastelsAdditionally I have also tested Arrtx colour pencils and a HB pencil, both with a so so result. As long as you don't go to heavy handed they may be fine to use without damaging the paper.

    This is a gorgeous journal, made with stitched bindings and a tough leather cover. It also has leather ties. It has blank pages, not ruled, and is perfect for me, it's going to be my new tarot journal. The cover is plain too, I didn't want anything new age or out and out witchy. It takes a fountain pen easily, my writing is medium pressure. I presume that ballpoint would be equally easy to use with this. I did deduct a star because it is pricey for what it is, but the quality merits that, I think.

    A comfortable leather texture for someone who can't stand leather

    I really do like the looks of these leather bound journals and a lot of them I simply cannot use because the texture of the leather is insufferable to me. This has that look without that awful texture!The pages are designed to look worn and "old" and do so without sacrificing the integrity of the pages. Each one's pretty thick and nicely textured. Writing in it with brush pens or normal ballpoint pens is comfortable and clear. The attached strap is plenty long enough to wrap around and keep this closed, or open if you're like me and need it to supplement a failing memory.I've been so pleased with this and definitely recommend it if you don't mind the thicker, textured paper or frayed edges.

    Ich habe mich bis heute nicht getraut, irgendwas in dieses Buch zu schreiben, weil es so wunderschön gearbeitet ist. Es liegt als Deko in meinem Regal. ^.^

    This book is awesome and very well made. Stitched bindings and natural paper, this would make a great start to a grimoire. This book came with a cool keychain with the company logo. Overall a great quality item that I look forward to filling with spooky art and incantations.
