5.0 out of 5 stars Great new Tv and I hope it lasts a long time.
I've been on the hunt for the perfect TV for what feels like ages, and I finally landed on the Sony BRAVIA XR-55A95L. I have to say, it was love at first sight. This 55-inch beauty combines everything I could possibly want in a TV: stunning visuals, smart features, and a sleek design that fits right into my living room.First off, the picture quality is just jaw-dropping. The QD-OLED technology delivers colors that are so vibrant and lifelike, I often feel like I'm peering through a window rather than watching TV. The 4K HDR makes everything pop, whether I'm watching a nature documentary or the latest blockbuster. It's like every pixel is working overtime to make the experience as immersive as possible. For gamers, especially those with a PlayStation 5, this TV is a game-changer. The BRAVIA CORE ensures that games look incredible, with seamless edge design and minimal lag. I've never seen my games look so smooth and detailed. The design of the A95L is also worth mentioning. It's sleek and modern, with a seamless edge that makes it feel like all screen and no bulk. It fits beautifully in my space without overpowering the room. That said, the user interface isn't the best. It can be a bit clunky and sometimes feels slower than I'd like. However, it's a minor gripe compared to all the fantastic features this TV offers. Once you get used to it, it's easy to overlook. And finally, the 5-year warranty is the cherry on top. It’s reassuring to know that Sony stands behind their product for the long haul.Overall, the Sony BRAVIA XR-55A95L has exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a movie buff, a gamer, or just someone who appreciates top-tier tech, this TV is a fantastic investment. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing picture
Stunning picture with deep blacks (I see what they mean by that now). Really easy interface that is speedy. Very impressed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant picture and fast interface
Lots of TVs seem to have annoyingly slow interfaces which make them really frustrating to use. This one is perfect with a great picture and a nice snappy interface too. I like the remote, nice and tactile, not those annoying squishy ones. The press to talk button is nice compared with painstakingly typing stuff with the on-screen keyboard.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Picture, No Freesat
The TV was easy to setup and I had no problems. Picture quality is excellent. You can go into a plethora of menus to optimise for your preferences. It comes with 2 remotes.Disappointingly I discovered that for at least the last 3 years Sony is unable to download and update the programme list from Freesat. It is a known issue on Sony’s Community pages. Sony should put a warning as to what is not compatible with their products. No sign of a fix for the firmware glitch. I’ve been forced to get a Sky subscription to get over this, it and Bolo Firestick work fine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Value for money
The media could not be loaded. I waited and researched, had woeful experience in currys. This was well over my budget but then I found both my sisters had one in there house! So I dutifully went and looked at it. Picture good but sound exceptional. Way better than my sony sound bar. Yes it really is worth the money.
1.0 out of 5 stars Honestly a dreadful TV
This TV arrived looking great and after a relatively quick and easy installation on the wall I fired it up.The picture quality of the TV is good without being absolutely stunning, bear in mind I had upgraded from a LCD LG TV from 2013.The issue here, and the reason for my 1 star review, is the laughably bad sound quality the TV has. Unlike any TV I've owned, when the picture on the screen changes or there are bright colours displayed on the screen the TV emits a high pitched "whine" similar to something that a cat scarer might make.To make matters worse, the high pitched noise isn't resolved by muting the TV (it seems to be a screen issue rather than a noise originating from the inbuilt speakers, which are usually very good). When watching high energy action films or anything with a consistent backing track the issue is less noticeable however, sports like Tennis or Golf where there are long periods of silence and bright green images frequently displayed are unwatchable. For a £2,000 TV I expected a lot better than this, I'm a huge Sony fan, who still regularly uses Sony kit in my home dating back over 50 years. To make matters even worse, I complained to Bolo about the issue, after following the recommended online steps to resolve the problem which didn't work, and they promised to send out an engineer to assess the issue. This, of course, never happened so, after a considerable outlay I'm left with a TV that I'm embarrassed to use because of the high pitched whining sound which it makes without fail whenever the screen colours change.I'd highly recommend looking at other brands because Sony don't seem to take the quality control of their TVs seriously any longer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant TV at a great price!
The picture quality on this TV is spectacular coupled with great sound creating a cinema like effect in your own home. I paid £200 less than Curry’s from Bolo and Argos didn’t stock this model. Delivery was great within 2 days of ordering. All in all a great price for this top end Sony TV can fully recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sony Bravia 55 inch Oled television
I paid for next day delivery but that failed to happen. For a television costing next to £1500. Sonys lack of English instructions is abysmal. Having received their payment I expect that they do not give a toss. The picture is out of this world, but I have to use individual remotes, because I have no idea how to make the sony remote work my sky box or my android tv box, shame on you sony for such a stupid oversight. My last tv a samsung plasma 3d was purchased because sky were showing sports and many films in 3d, the price stayed the same but the payment for 3d just became the price for 2d when 3d ceased being transmitted and the set lasted up to a month ago says a lot for samsung. And the comprehensive instructions were written in english which made setting it up a doddle the instruction book was properly bound not a badly printing on a scrap of paper as was sonys instructions
