5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant once you know how
This item is exactly as pictured. Well made and has a cute retro vibe to it. Yes the water tank is small but it heats up in no time at all so it doesn’t need to be larger. I can steam a whole maxi dress with one tank full. If I want to do another garment I just fill it up again and it takes only seconds to be ready. I actually like that it doesn’t store lots of water as it’s a pain having to empty out if there’s some left when you’re finished, like I had to do with my old one. The smaller tank makes this easily packable too as it lies flat. There is a knack to using this, what I do is hang the garment up on a coat hanger against my full length mirror (I bought a suction hook to hang it on) or the back of a door. It definitely works better when you have something behind the garment. I start with the sleeves every time, this seems to make it easier, you pull the sleeve taught with one hand and use the steamer with your dominant hand (I’m right handed so steamer in my right hand). I work from top to bottom and this seems to make it easier. Then I do the front top, then front bottom parts of the garments, paying attention to any button plackets or collars. If you pull the side seams out and go down them you get a nice finish. Once the front is done I flip it round and do the same on the back, then go back and go over any places I’ve missed. Takes maybe 5 mins to do a dress. Is it any better than ironing? This is fine for modern dress fabrics but if I was doing a formal shirt or a special occasion dress I would still use the iron and ironing board. You just don’t get the pristine crispness you do with the iron. For casual everyday garments it’s more than fine and means you don’t have to get the ironing board out and put it away again. I also keep one in my bedroom to give things a quick refresh if I’m wearing a second time between washes, or if they come out of the wardrobe a bit creased. It’s also really good for refreshing the cushions on the sofa after the cat has been laying on the backs and flattening them down. I give my suit jackets and my cashmere a steam before putting them away, as I don’t get them dry cleaned every time I wear them. Great for linen tops if you spray with a bit of laundry starch, let it dry then steam they stay nicer for longer. You can steam curtains while they are hanging up. I think this is a lot better than other hand steamers on the market I have tried many of them and with this one you have the reassurance of a known brand. I’m going to get one to keep at the office too.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great
Good size, portable and included storage bag is handy. Easy to use and does remove wrinkles from clothes. Only negative is the water tank is very small and only enough to steam one t-shirt before needing to be refilled.
5.0 out of 5 stars Crease free holidays
I purchased this initially to use whilst on holiday but since that time, I prefer this to my iron. Is compact and lightweight and heats up within 10 - 15 seconds.Worked really well with my travel plug and with a full tank, it's powerful enough to do several small items or one 2 piece outfit.I hang my garments up and hold the bottom and I find that is the most effective way to provide optimum steam. Makes for a quick and easy way to get crease free and a bonus as I got it on promotion, so a real bargain.
5.0 out of 5 stars Compact, cheap and useful
Pretty good considering it’s small size, you could get away not owning an iron and an iron board if you are not using a spin on the washing machine to the maximum, max 800 per minute, what helps also is to put shirt and T-shirts on an anger to make easier to dry. The water tank is little and probably get few minutes “ironing”I got it on offer so was cheap, definì worth it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Works alright, came used
Sadly mine came used, the wrappers clearly were undone and redone, with someone else’s lint on the brush and house dust/debris on the cable. The price point is great given the quality and speed of this item. Given my most favourite super quality brand would be £150, which I can’t afford at all, I’m happy to stick with this.Speedy basic steamer, each tank refill last for one garment, brush works okay, light enough for my 10yo to practice doing their own “ironing”, shorter cable than others meaning lighter to travel with.
5.0 out of 5 stars Travel ready
I carry this everytime during travelling. Travel ready. Easy and comfortable to use. has the perfect length, effective in removing wrinkles. No water retention. Good quality
4.0 out of 5 stars Good product
Great for travel. Sorts out the creases. Only lasts about 10 mins then have to fill again. Perfect for just sorting out one or 2 garments. Very easy to use though.
5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING
quick and easy to use! Even took it with me to the office ahead of the summer party and everyone loved it. Heats up quickly, works fast and results last. Works with any material, great on denim, cotton, polyester you name it!
Great
Bought it for traveling, easy to pack, but using at home as well!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
This has changed my life in a good fun way. I am lazy and I only pick out clothes in the morning b4 work. Having this has saved a lot of time since it starts so fast. About the water tank, it's enough for me to steam the outfit of the day. Quite happy !
