5.0 out of 5 stars Good
It works well
3.0 out of 5 stars Decent enough, but battery life not as stated
So this is a decent enough headset, but my biggest issue was the battery life, particularly the standby time, which seemed to drain the battery almost as much as when the headset was in use, meaning it rarely, if ever lasted a full business day.I also, personally had issues with fit and tried all 3 sizes of eartips, but YMMVI have sadly returned for a refund
1.0 out of 5 stars They sent a used item
Although I bought a new item, I think used item was sent. There was no nylon sealing package over the box. There was dust on the ear piece and mic boom. Since I need that for meeting I tried to the mic noise cancelling with a VoIP application. There is no noise cancellation. Correspondent can here every talking and noise. Unfortunately I decided to send back.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
This Bluetooth headset is really well made, it looks and feels a quality product. It's very lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended periods. The sound quality is fantastic too, both for the person at the other end and myself! The charging case is decent too, especially as you can magnetically stick the headset to the case to charge it without having to fold it away, a nice feature if you want to give the headset a little boost between calls. The battery life is excellent too.Overall a great product that I find very easy to recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really comfortable to wear
I find this very lightweight making it really comfortable to wear to the point I've forgot I was wearing it a few times and continued walking around with it still on, now as this is only one ear I can't really call it noise cancelling as you can still here surrounding sounds through the other ear, this is a really good quality sound and very crisp and clear, the blue tooth set up is very simple and the carry case is very convenient, overall this is a good high quality nice to work with product
1.0 out of 5 stars Missing USB Dongle
VERY dissatisfied seal was already broken on the box and the USB dongle is missing. I would like this to be rectified ASAP!
Good lightweight headset.
Good sound quality for calls, very light weighted and comfortable to wear.
Excellent call quality in MS Teams, comfortable and effective noise cancellation
The Yealink BH71 Pro Bluetooth Headset is an MS Teams and UC (Unified Communications) compatible headset with boom mic. It is mainly targeted at the work from home crowd but I've found it makes a great headset for video calls in the office as the noise cancellation mics do a good job of reducing background noise. This is especially ideal for those that work in a cubicle or noisier environments. I've had a good experience with the Jabra Talk 65 headset as the call quality is good, Bluetooth connectivity is reliable, it has decent noise cancellation and a battery life that lasts an entire work day. I summarized a comparison of the Yealink BH17 with the Jabra Talk 65 below.Yealink BH17 PROS: - Build: The BH17 has a better build quality with premium looking and feeling materials used. The Talk 65 feels a bit more plasticky, unfortunate for a headset that costs $130. - Comfort: lightweight design with less bulky control unit that sits behind your ear. It is also size adjustable, which the Talk 65 is not. I find the silicone ear tip on the BH17 fits better and a bit more comfortable than the Talk 65. Overall, I felt less discomfort using the BH17 for longer periods of time and they feel lighter. - Case: BH17 Pro comes with a nice charging case that allows charging in the case (which also protects the headset), or charging on the stand outside the case. The Talk 65 has no case and only charges via USB-C. - Mic quality: Based on my testing, the BH17 sounds a bit more natural and clear than the Talk 65. While neither sound digitally processed like cheaper headsets, the BH17 sound when recorded has a good volume and clarity to speech. - Noise cancellation: I think the BH17 beats the Talk 65 with more effective environment noise cancellation and reducing some background speech. The BH17 does boast beamforming mics, which I do believe help with its noise cancelling abilities. - Battery life: 15 hrs total talk time, 50 hrs with charging case, which exceeds the Talk 65. - Value: Despite costing about $30 more than the Talk 65, I think the BH17 is a better value because it looks and feels better built and it includes the charging case that can protect and charge the headset.Jabra Talk 65 SE PROS: - Sound quality: sound quality is more natural and balanced on Talk 65. BH17 is not terrible and speech is clear and natural, music is not great. This is a headset meant for video and audio calls, but sometimes you want to use the headset for other purposes and watching a video, or listening to a quick tune. - Battery life: The Talk 65 has a longer talk time and standby time than BH17. However, if using the charging case with BH17, battery life can be extended. As the above comparison shows, I did prefer the Yealink BH17 over the Jabra Talk 65 and think it is the superior headset for video and voice calling. Pairing was easy in Windows 11 using the USB dongle. You can also pair using Bluetooth and the BH17 can support pairing to two devices. The Yealink BH17 will be a great complement to my office meetings. The comfort and fit work well for my ears, the call quality is excellent, connection is reliable and battery life was last an entire day on a single charge. Highly recommended.
Rather uncomfortable to use with glasses
It connected fast and the sound quality was great but it was really uncomfortable to wear with glasses. After using it for an hour or so, I had to take it off. There just wasn’t enough room behind my ear so the arm of my glasses sat on top of the earpiece. It doesn’t look like others had an issue - I just have small ears I guess.
Great earpiece with many awesome features
This is by far one of the best wireless earpieces I have used for work so far. There are many great features, but to start off, this is a Bluetooth headphone that connects with any Bluetooth device. But what's great about it is that it also comes with a dedicated USB dongle. You don't have to use it, but if you choose not to connect over Bluetooth (for various reasons), you can connect the USB dongle to your computer, and it will automatically connect to it. This earpiece comes with a charging case to keep charging the unit while protecting it. The case is slim and well-built and has an LED indicator to show the case battery as well as the earpiece's battery status. But what's rare about this case that I love is that it also gives you an extra charging port outside the case. This is especially great when you want to charge your earpiece or rest it nice and neatly somewhere you can quickly access it without having to open the case and readjust the microphone, etc. This is an awesome feature! The earpiece style is designed mostly like some old-school hearing aids. This design has been proven to be comfortable for very long uses. True to this, the earpiece is very comfortable, lightweight and hardly noticeable when in use. You can pull/push the ear tube to adjust the height for more comfort. The angle of the ear hook is also adjustable to suit your ear size and style. You can also adjust the microphone's position or completely rotate it away. Now, among some of the great features it sports, I love the dedicated volume knob. I did not notice it was there until I read the manual. Super comfortable, handy and stylish. You don't have to bother with having to adjust the volume manually through your device or by tapping or pressing some annoying buttons. The knob easily rotates, letting you quickly adjust the volume as soon as it's needed. There's also a dedicated mute button on the microphone, which is super useful during phone calls, video calls and conference calls. There's a multi-functional button as well that allows you to pick up or hang up calls and do much more. This earpiece is apparently MS Teams-ready. When I connected to my computer, I got a notification through MS Teams that a compatible device had been detected. Pressing some of the buttons will perform tasks predetermined by MS Teams. The other very important feature that is supported by this earpiece is noise-cancelling microphones. This is especially great if you generally work in noisy environments and have to communicate often over the phone. The noise-cancelling microphones do an amazing job cancelling out certain background noises so your audience won't hear any of them. In return, the received audio quality is also super crisp and high quality. Especially when used for conferences, distinguishing speeches is much easier, even when the source audio is not that great.Battery life is amazing. You get up to 10 hours of usage out of a single charge! So, it's pretty much a workday's worth of usage on a single charge. But what's more is that you get up to two additional charges, which is approximately 20 more hours of usage from the case battery. So, with the case and earpiece both fully charged, you could get up to 30 hours of use out of this. Now, with almost everything, there are pros, and there are cons. Honestly, there's not much of a con here to talk about. However, I did notice these are not super compatible with MacOS. Now, don't get me wrong, they work with Mac. However, the connection, especially if you are the one who's speaking, is not very stable. This said, I really don't think this is an issue with this earpiece but mostly with how MacOS is designed to work better with Apple products. But it's an issue you should be aware of before purchasing this or any other non-Apple product to work with MacOS. I have the exact same issue with various other Bluetooth headphones over different MacOS products. The issue is your audio simply drops, and people on the other line stop hearing you, and when they start to call you to tell you they can't hear you, it turns out you can't hear them either! So, if you have a different screen or doing a presentation and not paying attention to people's faces or the message box, you might end up spending minutes or hours talking without people actually hearing you!! This is surprisingly not an issue with iOS. So, if used with iPhones or iPads, you are likely not going to have this issue.Due to its design, portability and long-lasting battery life, you are not limited to only using this with a computer and for work. There are many usages for this earpiece, and you can use it in the car, on the go, at work, at home, etc. I highly recommend it to those looking for a professional wireless earpiece that specializes in background noise cancelling, comfort and battery longevity.
