5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely kettle
Lovely kettle which boils quickly
4.0 out of 5 stars It's a ok kettle
Reasonably priced and nice looking stainless kettle, has a flick up lid, the switch lights up when on, but stays on when the kettle is lifted off the stand, so make sure it's switched off before lifting.
5.0 out of 5 stars A bit noisy
This kettle is a bit noisy, slow to boil but does the job, purchased for the caravan because of the lower wattage, it was a good price as well so I’m happy to keep it as it’s only used occasionally,EDIT used a few times now and this one doesn’t turn off, contacted them and they replaced the kettle and unfortunately this kettle boils for about a minute until it decides to turn off so Have to turn off myself or have a steam bath!
3.0 out of 5 stars Electric kettle
Liked the finish of product but advertised as fast boiling which it is not plus noisier than my old one but never mind eh.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money
I bought this because I did not like drinking water boiled in a plastic kettle due to the supposed health concerns. Best to go for a metal one. This does the job well. The heating element is hidden, so you only see a flat metal base. And it heats up very quickly. There is also a removable filter at its mouth in addition to the bigger holes in the metal body.If I had to nitpick any negative points: (a) It is a bit noisy while in operation and (b) the metal part outside gets damn hot, so have to be careful not to touch it (make sure you only touch the plastic handle, switch etc - basically any of the the black parts). However, given that this is made of metal, both these points are understandable and rather expected. All in all, a great kettle for its price. Looks good too.
1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality
Started to leak after 6 weeks and no option to return as faulty. Bolo stated not able to return after 1 month.
4.0 out of 5 stars Switch does not unlatch.
The switch does not unlatch when the supply is interrupted by (say) lifting the kettle off the base. So if the kettle is returned to the base it will start to heat - and eventually boil without being switched on. In 60 years of buying and using kettles, I have never seen this. Kettle switches should use electrical (relay) latching which defaults to 'OFF' if there is an interruption to the supply for whatever reason. In other respects, this is a good kettle - a bit noisy for 2200 W but it pours perfectly and opens without causing drips.UPDATE On reflection, notwithstanding my positive remarks above, this kettle is pretty damned rubbishy. I had to 'repair' the base connection and then it became reluctant to switch off when boiling and the steam started to damage my kitchen cabinet. I had to return it. I replaced it with a Russell Hobbs 20460 kettle that had two easily visible windows and other good design features. It exuded quality and only cost a bit more.
