    My son is still very young, but he enjoys holding the panda while I inset the cards and he takes it all in as the machine says the words on each card. Even the older kids had a play around with this. Would definitely recommend.

    The instructions say to fit a battery which I bought...it doesn't take the battery. Nowhere to put it. I charged it like they tell you to...it won't charge at all...nothing works. So no birthday present for my nephew! Total waste of money

The flashcards are separated into many different categories, which I think is better than having just 4 general categories, as it’s better for your child to learn.On top of it all the reader is rechargeable with a cable that’s easily replaceable if lost or damaged, so you can take it with you for travelling times to have your child occupied and the cards with certain animals and vehicles will make an additional sound to the standard word reading which will make the toy even more attractive for the child to play with.All in all a great choice at a very small price, so I can highly recommend it.

    This was a great toy for my 18m old. Only used it a few times though and it now doesn’t work. It says a different word to the cards put in. Very disappointed as it is now defunct.

    this is a nice and smart little device in a panda shape for pre-schoolers to learn new words , especially the ones with EAL and SEND , just a bit tricky when working with children on a spectrum as the cards has a panda picture on a top and then the actually picture of the object in the middle so this may confuse the children so my wife says taht she covers the panda pictures with her hand so the child will only see and look at the pictures in the middle . however this device is rechargeable so doesn't require ant batteries, easy to use just inserts the card inside , the child can do it by himself , lots os cards that are double sided so u get lots , some of them will make a sound too . cards are not very thick so children can easily get them bended or broken so use with care , pictures are clear and good size .

First of all, the price for this is great for what you get in the box (£8.99 at time of review).Works very well, and is really easy to use... just slide in a card and it says the word plus plays the sound too.Quantity of cards included is fantastic. Cards are double sided, and are all colour coded too for easy selection of categories at a glance.There are a few cards that are perhaps not aimed at the usual UK market, but with the selection available (literally hundreds), this won't be an issue.Charging is via a micro usb cable. A small one is included, but it works with any normal cables too, so you can use your own if required.Would definitely be happy to recommend this item, as it's great value for money, and works well.
