5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive
Whats not to like in a speaker sounding this good at this price?!I've had audiophile standard equipment most my life up until about a decade ago. Rel, Arcam, Monitor Audio, Rainbow e.t.c. So I think I know a good sound when I hear one.I missed that full, engaging sound having been using just a small JBL bluetooth speaker, and a QTX 12" busking PA since then, so I decided to give this Alto 10 a go having heard other similar ones including the Alto 12's, Mackie Thump 12's and 15's.I wanted something I could use not only as a bluetooth device on my phone, laptop and TV, but also for my Karaoke set up. I was actually only after the 8" version of the Alto due to space, but the price is so similar I went for the 10".Genuinely impressed! This Alto is brilliant. Hard to believe how good the low end is while still retaining mid clarity. Obviously its no audiophile standard, but for just ONE speaker that I can use in all the applications I wanted its superb. It gives "nightclub" levels of feeling in the small space I'm using it. Absolute bargain price for this level of sound (and I dont mean volume, but it is LOUD too). There's no point mentioning how it compares to my QTX 12" PA speaker because it simply doesnt. The only negatives I can find with it are the bluetooth is laggy, which doesnt matter if you're just playing music but if you intend it to be synched with visuals like a tv or karaoke lyrics it would need to be wired (which is how I'll use it for those two anyway). I've not tried it with my karaoke set up yet (as Im waiting for the neighbours to go out!) but I cant wait for that! Also when pairing the voice telling you its pairing comes in at max volume which is a bit silly.Neither of the above are a problem as such, just giving my honest opinion on this fantastic speaker.Despite the reviews on the Appstore, I find the phone app for controlling it really good too.I cant see how anyone could be disappointed with this speaker at this price. If you're considering something like this all I can say is buy one. Brilliant.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value
For the price, these are really hard to beat. They sound great and work well coupled with subs.Lightweight and easy to move around.
5.0 out of 5 stars Effective / Loud / Ideal for 200 person venue.
I used these to host a large open-mic event where these were driven from an Behringer XR18 / Midas MR18. I drove them hard without additional active sub-bass cabs and was delighted with the bass response. Getting the right input signal level takes some effort and out of the box the output level can appear low [out of the box the gain and need initially configuring to your needs].I used these with 15 inch active subs and they were more than adequate for the 250 person venue. I believe the sweet spot for these speakers is around 300 people. This comes down to getting to know the kit and its EQ app and levels etc. etc. and (of course)v reading the manual. If you pair these with some active subs (I have Behringer VPQ1500D) the sound produced can easily be uncomfortably loud indicating that when your TS415s are not trying to push the lower frequencies and are shelved correctly they can produce a crisp (clean) but muscular soundscape (supported bass). This us another case of read the flippin' manual to get this right (especially around signal routing). If you're looking to host a Drum and Bass band using just TS415 s on their own you'll be on to a loser but as part of a balanced active soundscape they certainly deliver the mid and top end.The bluetooth paring and play back is really handy during stand up and intervals but like everything with these active speakers will require you to *ACTUALLY* read the manual (especially if you want to pair the speakers to eachother and then pair your phone to the paired speakers). If you need an entry level digital sound processing active speaker product these are ideal and I would hazard a guess they push out about 120 dBa at 1M (at a push 125? - I'd like to get an accurate meter them to confirm) as opposed to the advertised 132 continuous and 135 peak. These are not an alternative to some of the higher end brands but will be ideal if you are looking to transition from bargain basement analogue into cheaper / mid-range digital sound processing kit and as a stepping stone to something higher quality.Recommended for gigging bands, open mics, solo shows in small, and medium venues up to around 250 people. My entire rig including subs fits in the back of a station-wagon / estate car.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing sound from such a small speaker.
The performance from this speaker is amazing, the quality of the sound is top notch and easily fills a room with sound, and I only have the one.For the size of the speaker, you’ll be seriously impressed with its output, with a great deal of connectivity on the back. The Bluetooth feature makes it even more portable, you only need a power source and you can host a small party at home.I’m considering buying more, I only have 1 8” speaker for the time being, but I want more! I think this paired with an Alto 2500W subwoofer would sound amazing, and can easily handle gigs with 200+ people.
