Compression socks were ideal for my needs as they were light compression.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant product
So amazingly simple and so goodHelps to get compression socks on without the awful back breaking struggleYou do still have to use a bit of strength but nothing like the force needed without them5 stars well deserved
3.0 out of 5 stars A little tricky
This seemed like it should be a really good product, particularly for my elderly parents, however my mum still really struggled with this. Her hands are not the most nimble and she did still struggle with using this and in the end she gave up with it as she couldn't cope, and went back to her normal old-fashioned stocking applicator. Other people may find this absolutely fine but mum struggled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic aid for putting on open-toe compression socks/stockings.
For many years (since long before the pandemic) I wore open-toed knee-high compression stockings to support my varicose veins. Latterly, I have "progressed" to lymphedema and full-length compression stockings, still with open-toes. I emphasise this, because if you wear closed-toe stockings, these Sock Aids won't work for you. They do need to be removed once the stockings are in place. From the first I was fortunate enough to find out about Sock Aids. At that time, the makers of compression stockings gave away what they called "socklets" with their garments. Nowadays, we have to buy our own, but they are worth every penny.Putting on compression stockings, especially the full-length kind, can be a grim struggle, especially if they have to be eased on over enlarged ankles, or if a stiff back makes reaching one's feet awkward. We need all the help we can get, and these little garments really do help.Of course, if we have any sewing skills at all, it would be easy enough to create our own Sock Aids, and why not? They just need to be made from some slippery fabric. Bright colours and/or a jazzy pattern would be cheering. Fit is obviously not crucial. But whether home-made or purchased, I do advise getting your hands on a few pairs. Putting on your compression stockings will take less of a toll on your time, energy and temper!Free returns make for a risk-free experiment.
