    These are very small and easy to take. I normally buy the capsules from a shop but couldn't get there. So I got these. Hopefully they work the same. Capsules on here were too expensive. All good and value for money. Will buy again.

    These tablets arrived promptly and are supposed to be of higher strength than those I already take to help with arthritis inflammation. They are also a fair bit cheaper.Unfortunately, it is too early to assess whether they contribute to any improvement in my condition.

    So, why do i love this particular supplement? I personally have trouble swallowing any tablet bigger than a standard paracetamol, these Turmeric tablets are tiny and easily taken with a sip of water. Also great if you are like us and take supplements on holiday as they take up no luggage space for the whole packet.

    The advertising and label say Turmeric plus Black Pepper 3,706mg per serving. Accurate to the nearest microgram, unlikely. It turns out a serving is 2 tablets you need to read the small print. Each tablet weighs only 150 mg. So a serving is 300mg not 3,706. It turns out the tablet is not turmeric but an extract at ratio 35:1. On the back of the packet it explains a serving contains 91.6 mg of extract. Turmeric powder contains around 3% by weight curcumin. I see this as reasonable. 35:1 is 2.86%. So the pills contain curcumin extracted from 3,706 mg of Turmeric per serving.Turmeric has a low bioavailability which is increased 2000% by consuming black pepper. So black pepper should be taken with Turmeric. So far so good. Black pepper contains piperine at 2.5% to 8% by weight. Piperine is thought to have medicinal properties including anti inflammatory properties. The label says a portion contains 500mg of black pepper in the form of an extract at ratio 10:1 which they say is 25mg. Last time I looked this should be 50mg but hey ho. Recommended dose is debated but of the order of 5mg 3 times daily is typical. The label does not say what the extract is. Piperine is thought to be responsible for the increased bioavailability of turmeric.In summary the labelling is at best unclear and at worst deceptive. The maths do not add up. Nevertheless the tablets should provide the desired benefits. Time will tell. I suffer chronic back pain and cannot take NSAIDs. So I hope these will help.
