5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for commuting
This is a great foldable keyboard that works perfectly and unfolds to a great size. The number pad was a must for me so this was ideal. Lightweight and compact, comes with a neat case. Keys feel really nice and high quality. I use it once a week when I go into the office, and it takes up little space in my bag. Recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Portable Full Sized Folding Keyboard
For those who travel and require a portable office or full sized keyboard away from the office, the ProtoArc XK01 should be at the top of the essentials list.As someone who regularly works on the move, I’ve been through a few Bluetooth keyboards over the years and the ProtoArc XK01 is miles ahead of the competition for comfort and ease of use.To begin with, it is a no compromise, full sized (including the number pad on the right) keyboard with scissor switch keys for satisfying feedback whilst typing. The sound produced by each key press is not silent but certainly softer than a traditional keyboard which is an added bonus for those who work in public spaces. The trifold is a fantastic feature and unlike many other folding keyboards, the ProtoArc XK01 does not hinder or change the layout of the keyboard at all. Many of the other folding keyboards on the market split, reshape or move keys changing the layout of the keyboard. For those who type at speed, this keyboard will not slow you down at all. When the keyboard is closed, it will automatically disconnect and turn off. When opened it will automatically connect to the last connected device. This feature is excellent as you can get straight into your work without having to play around with connectivity. To pair the device, simply press one of the three Bluetooth buttons for three seconds to enter pairing mode, then search for the device using your Windows OS, Android OS, iOS or Mac OS. Once connected, the device will be paired to that device with the button you chose until you decide to pair it with another item. The ProtoArc XK01 can pair with three devices at a time and switch between them with the touch of a button.Once the keyboard is folded closed, the sides of the hinges can be pressed in to lock the keyboard closed, this is a nice feature to stop the keyboard opening up during transit or whilst it is in your bag. Admittedly, this feature is great but takes a little attention as the top and bottom of the hinges need to be pushed evenly or the lock does not work. Although this is a criticism, it does not merit the loss of a star. The Battery on the keyboard is great. At 210mAh, the ProtoArc XK01 has 150 hours of standby time from only two hours of charge time. This should be enough to use the keyboard for days with hours of use each day. Should the battery run out, the ProtoArc XK01 can be charged whilst in use. Furthermore, the type-C port is located at the top of the keyboard so the wire will not get in your way whilst you work and the set up will feel extremely natural.Inside the Box you will get the ProtoArc XK01 keyboard, user manual and tyce-C charging cable. The size of the ProtoArc XK01 when folded closed is 21cm x 12cm and has a depth of 1.5cm. It is extremely compact and weighs 297g making it ideal for transport. The keyboard will go into sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity whilst open and will reactivate after the press of any key. The wake-up after sleep takes around 3 seconds.Final ThoughtThe price may seem a little steep at £49 when compared to some of the other folding keyboards on the market but there is no compromise with the keys and size. This time, you really do get what you pay for.As a full sized extremely portable foldable keyboard with great battery, I highly recommend the ProtoArc XK01 for anyone who travels or needs a full-sized keyboard away from the desk from time to time, and to be fair, I’d even recommend it for use in the office, in fact, I am sat at my desk writing this review with the ProtoArc XK01 and it has been an extremely seamless process. I have no regrets with this purchase and hope to use the ProtoArc XK01 for years to come.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
Much better quality than I was expecting. Perfect to put in your laptop bag or backpack, the phone stand is pretty flimsy but usable and comes in a nice case too
4.0 out of 5 stars Really close to 5 stars; well worth considering
So this just arrived today and so of course I had to take it for a spin. I have more than a few portable keyboards, but only one that folds, and that one turned out to be a disappointment, so I was really looking forward to trying a full-size folder where all the keys are full sized. There are just a few nits (that may just be my preferences) that keep me from giving it 5 stars, but I have to say that overall I quite like this keyboard.I have some sympathy for the reviews that mentioned the keyboard not being angled at all-- I found myself happier if I slid magazine or something under the top edge to give it a low angle. But the keyboard is still quite usable flat on the desktop. One thing that really is improved by a slight angle is that there is a raised edge just below the space bar. This edge runs along the entire bottom of the keyboard, but is lower around the spacebar than on either side of it. When the keyboard is flat on the desk even this low edge can be noticed, but with a slight angle I no longer notice it. It occasionally results in a missed space while typing, so you may want to do something to give a slight angle as I found that made missing the space a lot harder. The keys are generally firmer than most of my other portable keyboards; they need a good press, and I have to wonder if that will result in fatigue eventually. In the short term, I find this property is actually helping with my typing accuracy, and again is improved if I give the keyboard a slight angle. There are dedicated keys for screenshots, OS settings, and lockscreen, which I find to be nice touches, but I have to say I've mashed the screenshot button accidentally a few times already when reaching for the backspace key. The screenshot function can be deactivated with esc, so it isn't a big deal, but it has happened twice so far. Hopefully it won't become a nuisance.I'm finding that I'm wishing for a wider left shift key. They do have a 3/4 sized keycap for the #~ key, and I kind of wish that were also the same for the \| key, which would allow the left shift to be a bit wider. I'm finding myself hitting that key sometimes when I want the shift, and that's a small irritation. But those complaints are overshadowed by the fact that all the rest of the keys are full size, and there is no interfering ridge around the seam where the keyboard folds. It's a worthwhile trade in my book for these small flaws (that could be found on some regular UK keyboards) for one that's portable.Connecting was simple and followed the instructions accurately. You almost don't need the manual, as it follows a common short press/long press semantic that lots of other devices do.Finally, folding/unfolding: the keyboard folds nicely into a reasonable protected package, but it might be nice to have an aluminum bodied option if you carry bag isn't the most friendly to devices. I'm not saying it's fragile, but you don't get an excessive sense of sturdiness, and the case can flex a bit when closed, so I do hope that life in my bag isn't too rough. The magnets that hold the keyboard closed are strong enough that accidental opening isn't likely in most situations, which should protect both the keys and keep power from coming on when it isn't needed. When opened, you should expect to place this on a solid surface: as others have mentioned, it doesn't work well laps. But overall I'm quite happy with this keyboard as it seems to provide one of the best portable options I've come across. It's not without its faults, but many can be overcome with bit of elevation. If I was to ask for changes, I'd want a wider left shift, swapping the screenshot and delete keys, a bit of a tilt to avoid missing the spacebar (or a lower edge along the space bar), an option for a more rugged body, and red backlights for the keys. But none of these will be keeping from making this my primary portable keyboard.

Love it! Mostly….
Would you believe I’m using this keyboard to type this review? You wouldn’t? Wow….that’s unfair. I swear I am.Anyway, whatever, as I sit here I am using the keyboard and it near perfect for its use.I originally purchased it to type on my kindle fire but today I use it with my iPhone 12 Pro. It’s easy to connect up the bluetooth and it works great. So compatibility is great for what my needs are.It sits flat on a table, the keys are easy to press, and it makes for a perfectly great regular sized keyboard. The QWERTY is exactly as any other keyboard and getting used to it is quite simple. It folds nicely, it’s easy to carry so it’s got great portability. I like that you can set it up for three devices and can switch from one to the other with a single keystroke.I find it has great value for the money. The only two things I don’t like is that sometimes you have to press the keys a little hard to make for good contact and get the character you want typed. I find myself backspacing quite a bit. I mean I meant what I said, the keys are easy to press it’s just that sometimes you miss one here and there. At least I do.The second is that if you are not on a flat surface the keyboard (at least mine) the keyboard flops a little. I don’t mean it folds in on itself if you are pushing up on the sides, but if you are using the keyboard on your lap (which I occasionally do) then the two sides hang down slightly. But those are the only two negatives I can find.I would highly recommend this keyboard if you are looking for something that is nice and portable. Especially if you are looking for a full sized keyboard.
Best foldable keyboard - 6 stars !!
Best thing is that it is full keyboard and very comfortable in typing. Anyone using normal keyboard will easily adapt and will not feel any difference. Finishing of the product is very nice. Packing is at next professional level.I like the message of designer which was in the envelope.Excellent work by PROTOARC !!
Great quality. Steady. Easy to setup & use.
The manual is easy to read & understand. I love that it can connect and switch between 3 devices with just a press of a button - that’s a very convenient option that’s not available on other wireless keyboards. It folds and unfolds smoothly, and it’s very convenient to carry around. I love this device.
