Description:

About this item:

  • 【75% 80 Keys Mechanical Gaming Keyboard】With built-in modularity for everything from connectivity to switches, the TH80 is a keyboard for those who like to change things up. The 75% layout offers both typing comfort and space consciousness, and programmable metal rotary knob allows for extra control of your setup. There are three means of connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz, and a USB-C wired output. Thanks to the hot-swappable sockets, it can accommodate a variety of switches, both 3 and 5-pin
  • 【Hotswap Gateron Pro Mechanical Switches】When it comes to the feel and performance of your switches, every detail counts. For this model, we go with Gateron Pro switches-yellow/red/brown/blue/black.Factory pre-lubricated for smooth travel straight out of the box, each switch features a POM stem and polycarbonate case for consistency and durability. A 5-pin, PCB-mount design makes installation a breeze, while a 50-million-keystroke lifespan means you won’t need to swap out your set anytime soon
  • 【Three Modes of Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0&2.4GHz&Type-C Cable】Equipped with a large capactiy battery, this keyboard supports wireless and wired connections. By the wireless option, either Bluetooth (up to 5.0) or 2.4GHz can be chosen, and the polling rate can be up to 1000hz with 2.4GHz. By the wired mode, macro can be programmed to better fit your typing habits. The modes can be easily switched by Fn+1/2/3(Bluetooth) / 4(2.4GHz) / 5(USB Wired)
  • 【PBT Keycaps in MDA Profile&Dye-sub Technique】The TH80 model comes with the popular Theory Keycaps in unique MDA profile. Keycaps are made of top-grade PBT dye-subbed keycaps. Which are often considered the top choice for keycaps materials, even over ABS keycaps, as PBT is much more durable, oil-resistant and stays true to color. MDA profile is kind of a lower version of SA profile so it’s quite suitable for those who enjoy the sculpted keycaps but not too high
  • 【Amazing RGB Effects&Programmable with Included Software】EPOMAKER TH80 mechanical keyboard features a variety of default RGB effects that you can easily switch between each other with simple shortcuts. More than that, compatible software is available for those who loves more DIY settings. You can make it your own effects with the software

5.0 out of 5 stars (EDIT)Wonderful Keyboard with mediocre battery life

    M. · 14 January 2023

EDIT:I’ve recently spilled a drop of water (what remains in a glass after you drink it all) on the right side of the keyboard.I wiped it as I would any other keyboard and left it over night without thinking about it.This caused damage to the keyboard as there is no protective sheet between the keys and the pcb. So the water infiltrated from the top to the very bottom damaging the connections. Now the keyboard doesn’t charge anymore and 3 keys lost RGB functionality. Other than that, the keyboard works perfectly wired.Just be cautios that if you spill something YOU HAVE TO OPEN IT AND CLEAN IT!!!I still stand by the rest of my review - just wanted to inform you all of the potential risks.EDIT ENDGot this keyboard as I heard a lot of good things about Epomaker and thought I should give it a shot. For reference, I'm coming from an Asus ROG Falchion therefore this review will have some comparisons with it. Yes, I am aware that the Falchion is double the price however, my comparisons are mostly in favour of the Epomaker, therefore showing its value for money.Packaging/Whats in the boxThe keyboard is nicely packed and comes with a few switches and keycaps as replacements as well as a keycap puller which I thought was a really nice touch. As mentioned in the description, this keyboard is hot-swappable which is a huge plus a long the way as you can literally pull the switches and replace them with whatever you prefer without having the headache of soldering them.Typing/Feel/Keycaps/SoundI must say - I got the Flamingo Switches as I read they are "creamy" and nice to type on/game on. I absolutely love them. They feel exactly like that - creamy. They sound thicc but full and feel just right to the touch for me.The keycaps are nothing too special. They are a good product, clear markings, funky keys (esc, spacebar, shift, are different colors and their markings are different - the extra keys in the box have all different markings as well in case you get bored). Overall they feel just right for the keyboard and typing experience.Switches appear to be pre-lubed and they did a pretty decent job at that. The stabilizers work well for 95% of the keys out of the box. The only ones where I hear rattling noises are coming from the backspace and spacebar.Falchion had about 80-85% as a comparison.Compared to ROG Falchion, I was able to get used to it almost immediately. Typing on it was not a learning curve at all. It made me want to type on it all day long - perhaps this sounds odd to some, but those who share this feeling will understand what I mean. The extra round button at the top right is by default a volume knob and when you press it, it mutes the sound. I found this default setting to be perfect HOWEVER, you can map whatever you like on it. If you are an editor, you can map the timeline scroll on it instead which I find useful. And it can do plenty other things like opening an .exe etc.The downside (if you care about this) is that the marking on the keycaps are not transparent therefore the RGB will not shine through the shapes of the letters/numbers/symbols etc but rather come from underneath. This is by no means a deal breaker as you can literally buy whatever keycaps you prefer either from their website or your prefered choice.RGB ModesThe RGB is a 7/10. The modes are plenty however their "customization" is not ideal (for me). For example, I love the "breathe" mode (for those who don't know it it is where a colour (or more) decrease their brightness to 0 and back to whatever you put it at (20%-100%) making it "breathe")). This mode, along with others, do not allow me to reduce the speed at which it "breathes" appearing a bit too fast to my liking. This might be nit picky but compared to the ROG Falchion, this is very noticeable. And as mentioned, this is appearant in all other modes. The rest of them are nice, but nothing fancy or "cool". They do seem to repeat themselves as if they ran out of ideas when creating these modes. For example, there is one mode where colours rotate clockwise and then a separate mode where they rotate counterclockwise. The keyboard does have an app which allows you to go a bit more in depth with these modes but again, nothing too fancy.MacrosIn the keyboards' app, you can customize your macros as you seem fit which is a nice to have. For me personally this is not a priority however, if you're into that, it is possible.Battery/Ports/BuildQuite a shock here. It is only 2200mAh - the ROG Falchion has 4000mAh. I thought well, half of that would mean, half the life right? Wrong.Where the ROG Falchion lasts 30-40 days of daily use (around 12h daily) with RGB on, using "breathe" mode, the Epomaker gets a solid 4-7 days max. Not around 15-20 days as I thought. The good part is that it is charged by USB-C and it charges in 4-6h in my case (CAVEAT HERE: I'm charging it via pc USB so not getting power from the wall socket directly. This will decrease the rapidity of the charge). As oposed to the ROG Falchion, it does not have a slot for the USB receiver, but it does have multiple angle adjustments from its feet (Falchion has only 1 option).Speaking of feet, the rubber padding on the feet has already started to shift as the glue is no longer as strong as it was 1 month ago when I bought this. Again, not a deal breaker as you can re-glue it easily but something I found interesting as a difference to Falchion. The keyboard itself is heavy. At least heavier than the Falchion. Considering they are both 65% it is a "surprise". The weight becomes more apparant when you pick it up to turn it off. I have big hands and good grip strenght however, before I got used to its weight, I droped it a few times grabbing it "one-handed".However, its weight is an advantage. It does not shift or move. It stays in place and looks pretty <3.Conclusion/ TL;DR:- Switches/Typing experience - 10/10 (flamingo switches)- Build quality - 9/10- Battery - 4/10- RGB - 7/10BUT THE OVERALL FEEL OF THIS KEYBOARD - 9/10.If I were to recommend a keyboard to any enthusiast looking for something fun, reliable, good typing experience and customizable, I would 100% recommend this one.

I had thought about buying this keyboard for months as it seemed to be one of the best options available if you wanted wireless through dongle or blutooth in the smaller layout but also with a dial / knob. I finally decided to make the order and I am really happy with the purchaseThe quality is amazing. I went with the Epomaker Flamingo switches and they are so smooth. The sound is crisp and the key presses very smooth. The form factor of the keyboard is really nice as it does not take up much space at all and I love the ability to use a dongle. This is my 3rd mechanical keyboard and I find the typing experience amazing. The other keyboards I have are renowned for being good quality and this keyboard from Epomaker for me personally has become my favourite. The other two keyboards I have are the Niz Plum (known for smooth typing) and the reliable Durgod K320 (Great quality).I am so happy with the quality that I am very tempted to buy more Epomaker merchandise (maybe a different switch like the Sea Salt Silent).Anyone thinking whether this is a good investment then just buy. You will not be disappointed at all. I went with the black keyboard as I had a vision to change some keycaps to white which I did and love the clean look!Lastly the logo is a really nice touch and this also illuminates when you turn on the RGB lights.

The Epomaker TH80 Pro is a 75% RGB mechanical keyboard that not only comes with lubed switches but is also connectable via USB 2.4Ghz/Bluetooth and last but not lest good old fashioned wire, which is also replaceable. The switches are also replaceable while the Leds are south facing and the TH80 Pro also comes with an rotary knob that can be switched for further customization.Lets start of with the negatives of this keyboard, which thankfully are more minor nitpicks rather than any serious issues.Firstly I had problems getting my PC to connect via the USB 2.4Ghz connection although thankfully this was solved by resetting the keyboard.Interestingly connecting to Bluetooth on the Steamdeck was a breeze and being able to switch inputs at a press of a button comes is very handy. The PBT keycaps are well made and thick but are not shine through, so if your using this in the pitch black you may have to factor the added cost of some shine through PBTs or Puddings keycaps, although in low light this shouldn't be an issue. Another minor criticism is that although the letters are crisp some of the number keys are not quite level. The number six key sits slightly lower than its neighbours for example, thankfully this is less of an issue on the letter keys. Finally the finishing at the bottom of some the keycaps, especially the spare keycaps, were a little rough. Nothing major and in no way does it affect the typing , but be aware these are not GMK or high end Drop keycaps. Now on to the good stuff and trust me there's plenty of plus points and then some.Firstly the build quailty is excellent, sure it's plastic but this is 1kg of solid plastic, plus there's also an Aluminum Alloy knob for controlling the volume which can be progammed for other uses too.I chose the Gateron Pro yellow switches and straight away the typing feel felt several leagues above my Roccat Vulcan 122 that this has replaced. The Pro yellow switches are buttery smooth, due to being prelubed, without being uber sensitive. (Looking at you Gateron Red!) Another reason this keyboard feels great to type on is because of the slightly rare MDA keycap profile which I personally find to be one of the best keycap profiles I've ever typed on.Spin the TH80 on its back and you'll find the kick stands which offer 2 additional height adjustments plus a compartment for the 2.4Ghz dongle and finally also thrown in the box are 4 extra switches plus a rather nice keycap/switch puller. The 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth connection have been flawless so far with zero lag and drop outs, although I've seen people complaining that they've had issues with the 2.4Ghz connection on the standard TH80 so hopefully the Pro model has addressed these issues.Typing on the TH80 is a tremendous experience, no doubt made possible by the excellent amount of dampening that Epomaker have meshed together, and you really do get some superb ear pleasing thock at a unbeatable price. While keyboard modding is all the rage, aside from changing the keycaps, there's really is no need to modify this baby because even in its stock form this keyboard really delivers. There are plenty of Youtube reviews which opened my eyes to this keyboard and I have to say they're all pretty much spot on!Sure this keyboard has a few minor faults but for what it offers at the wallet friendly price is quite frankly amazing.UPDATE:Upgraded keycaps to Drop X Marvel Infinity keycaps combined withPBTfans gaming pad.

    Outstanding for the price

The EPOMAKER TH66 Pro has quickly become my favorite mechanical keyboard! Right out of the box, the build quality is impressive. The white case with the MDA PBT keycaps looks sleek and feels premium, and the Gateron Pro Yellow switches are incredibly smooth and responsive. Whether I’m gaming or typing, the feel of each keystroke is satisfying and precise.I love that the keyboard is hot-swappable, allowing me to customize it with different switches down the road without needing to solder anything. The RGB lighting is vibrant and fully customizable, but would be much more apparent if you use backlit friendly key caps. What really sets this keyboard apart for me is its versatility. It connects seamlessly via 2.4Ghz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, or wired—so whether I’m at my desktop or using it on the go with my tablet, it’s super convenient. The knob control is another standout feature, making volume adjustments quick and easy.Overall, the EPOMAKER TH66 Pro is an excellent keyboard for both gaming and daily use. Its compact 65% layout saves space, and the combination of aesthetics and performance is top-notch. It just feels solid and much higher quality than I expected at this price point.

    First 75% mechanical keyboard

    L.T. · 29 July 2024

I don't have much to compare it with yet, but the feel is great. It's heavy and the construction seems sturdy and good-quality. The flamingo switches are linear, and they are pretty quiet with a smooth and satisfying key press. There are several pre-programmed options for the RGB. You can change the effect with Fn + \ and cycle colors through rainbow mode or single colors with the Fn + return key. They sent a few extra keys in a nice yellow color for space bar, return, arrow, backspace and escape, and a few extra switches, plus a dual keycap/switch puller and a cord.Great so far!Update: I had an issue checking the battery charge, and Epomaker provided great customer service. Thanks!

Sturdy, great value, good as is or customize

This is a great, fun keyboard at an unbeatable price. It's good-looking and functional as is but with hot swapping -- keycaps and switches can be fully replaced for different feel and touch qualities and looks. I love the rainbow LEDs and the dial control. I purchased the Gatreon Red Pro switches and they're quiet enough for the office/shared space and easy to transition to.

    Great Keyboard! Take the Leap!

    D.C. · 24 July 2024

My first custom, ready to go out of the box keyboard experience. Was on sale for Prime days, so I figured I'd take the leap and give it a go. It arrived two days early, which is awesome because I've been so excited about it coming.Upon fist picking it up out of the box I noticed how heavy the board felt, gave it a really premium feel. The purple of the keycaps is a really nice colour in person, I'm not sure if the pictures do it justice. It came with a black braded usb-a to usb-c cord, a keycap/switch puller, a backup space bar keycap, and three switches. I chose the Gateron Pro Yellow switches and they help give the keeb a nice thocky sound, and are quite enjoyable to type on.On the downside, I'm not sure if it was during assembly at the factory but one of my switches came broken. As shown in the picture of the switches, one of the two metal pieces on the back of the switch was bent, so the keyboard was not recognizing that the key had been pressed. Luckily I was able to put in one of the three that came with the board, and it works fine now.
