    I still don’t get how they work, but they do! My midwife recommended these when I told her that my nipples are chewed off. And within a week using them my nipples somehow healed even tho I was still breastfeeding! Again I still don’t get how they work but it worked for me and I am so happy!

    I wish I knew about this with my first baby . It has really helped with nipple pain especially when clothes touch it . It shields it and gives nipple time to adjust . As for breastfeeding pain that is part of breastfeeding but this shields and makes life so much easier . Any one thinking about buying it get it trust me its worth it .

    I brought these based on the reviews and thought I would give it ago they are really worth it it stops your nipples feeling sore and feels great whne you out them in the fridge, they also stop your bra from sticking to you they definitely make breast feeding alot easier

    I ordered the large ones. When they arrived I tried them on and within a couple of hours my breast was full of milk and pushed against these and causes cuts and was bleeding. I'm needing to return them but haven't had chance yet as my baby is newborn.

    After hearing a lot of recommendations for these and just how much they help speed up healing in between feeds, it was disappointing after trying them for an hour for the edges to have cut slightly into my skin.I hope they work better for others but I'll stick to lanolin and hope they just toughen up soon as I've only been breastfeeding for 3 weeks.

    The silver bells provide much relief from the burn of cluster feeding. I placed them on momentarily, say 20 minutes, and the cooling took effect immediately so that I could heal swiftly & continue breastfeeding after the 20 minutes.Be sure to rinse & wipe off the shields after each use with warm water to remove the residues that dries inside.

    Update at the bottom:I have been exclusively pumping for 5 months. I have elastic nipples and breast tissue and have suffered a lot of pain from pumping. I had read about moist wound healing for nipples but I had figured that slathering my nipples in creams and ointments after each pumping session was accomplishing that. When I finally decided to give these a try, I was shocked!I used them for a week or two and had minimal progress - then realized that I was using flanges that were too small. When I finally aligned correct flange size with these covers, it was the sweet spot and all of the nipple pain I had been experiencing for the past several months has gone away. It is a total miracle in my opinion and these are going to help me to pump for much longer than I would have been able to without them. My supply also increased by a couple of oz/day and I have been able to turn the suction up on my pump.I will note that due to my breast shape and the elasticity, I am unable to wear these with a bra (they push into my skin and are painful) so I wear them with an undershirt only to just hold them in place. I mainly wear them at night but also during the day if I don’t have anywhere to go. I am just including this info in case you try them with a bra like I did and think that they are not going to work with you because they are painful... if that is the case for you, try with a piece of looser clothing that will hold them in place without pressing in.UPDATE after 4 months of use. I am still exclusively pumping. I started to get a recurring cut/wound on one of my nipples and it wouldn’t heal despite using these covers. I realized that I probably had thrush because I was having shiny patches of red skin and the recurring wound. So I stopped using these covers because I realized that putting milk in them and then wearing them would make the thrush worse. I used anti fungal cream and things started getting worse, not better. I started chafing around my nipples, and getting blisters all over. I was about ready to call it quits when I decided to give the covers a try again. Instead of putting milk in them, I just put ointment on my nips before putting the cover on. I used polysporin and that healed the cut! Things have been so much better. The chafing went away and I am back to being able to pump relatively comfortably.So if you are struggling with sores that won’t heal my recommendation is to use polysporin (possibly alongside an anti fungal if you think you have yeast - monostat worked better for me than clotrimazole), and then use ointment (lanolin or an oil based nipple ointment like Mommy Knows Best brand) on your nipples and put the covers on as much as possible. Again these covers have saved my pumping journey. I’m currently 9 months in and shooting for 1 year and possibly beyond.
