I bought two sets and they both appear to work fine. BUT, one came with a 24v configuration and one with a 12v configuration. I was intending to use the sets in conjunction with one another. Luckily, I plugged the 12v DC supply into the 24v LED strip and only got non-functioning LEDs rather than the other way round that might have wrecked the LEDs.
