I was sceptical, reading the negative reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised at the ease, functionality of it. Surprised at the size (hence the pic) as the online ones haven’t a scale to it. I’ve had it half an hour now and it does exactly what it’s described. As an engineer you need to adhere to the run duration and cooling duration of these, as this is where they burn out by overrunning these durations. Hence the negative comments I’ve read.

Well packed and arrived quickly.I am currently rebuilding a very sorry looking Armstrong MT500 motorcycle, so this has come in so handy.Firstly it comes in a very sturdy storage case with all the attachments and instructions.Instructions are surprisingly good, and i followed them to the letter when trying to loosen some very rusted exhaust outlet nuts and it worked brilliantly.just got the nuts to a temperature where they were smoking (you dont need to get then red hot!), following the instructions and not using the unit for more than 30 seconds at a time, and got them to twist right off, amazing.No longer do i need open flames in my little shed whilst working on my bike.very safe to use, you get everything you need in its carry case and it also has a handy LED light in front of it to help in any dark areas.Great product at a great price.

Item got broken before managed to do anything hot. Heard puff from the inside then all home electricity got switched off at fuse box. It didn't last even a minute. Gonna return it tomorrow.

The first bolt heated a dream but the more you use it the filament starts to soften and deform. Especially hard when it’s intended purpose is in a difficult to reach spot.Could also benefit from a smaller size bolt ring
