    Heavy duty, strong, light weight handle with heavy head. The handle is about arms length with rubber grip. The blade is sharpened & comes with a rubber protective cover. Easy to use and store. Would recommend.

    The weight of the axe is a bit light. Makes it difficult to use for cutting firewood which was it's purpose.I would go for a heavier weight if this was the purpose you were considering buying it for.

    Bought one of these as a standard short handled one wasn't long enough to get the power to split some logs.I did get a big heavy splitting maul, but I have bad shoulders and it was too hard work.This is perfect for me, I have bought two more of these as gifts, and both are very pleased with them.Would highly recommend.

    To me, it was the ideal weight for swinging an axe. Sharp enough but gave it a little honing. Whacked a small tree stump, went in very easy and started to split the stump. Fibreglass handle seems very strong.
