4.0 out of 5 stars Good but expensive
It can get a little messy using this hair cleaning powder, similar to how henna is diluted with water. The natural ingredients give it a lovely floral/plant scent. It's simple to mix and apply to the roots, leaving your scalp feeling clean and refreshed. My wife, however, believes that it might not be appropriate for her hair's ends because it might harm them or exacerbate split ends that already exist. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it does smell nice and feels wonderful on the scalp. A scoop to help with the mixing procedure would be a minor enhancement.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not For Me
I wanted to try this product because I seem to be losing my hair a lot and hoped this would do at it says, help stop hair loss.It comes in a bag inside a tin which is nice to store it in safely. You need to add water to the powder to make a paste which I didn't realise when I ordered it. It was easy enough to do.The problem for me is the smell of it. I was in two minds as to whether I would use it once I made the paste, but as I wanted to try it for this review, I went ahead and did it. It kind of feels like rubbing mud into your hair. It doesn't lather or anything so I was concerned that my hair wouldn't feel clean afterwards. It smells dreadful and looks just as bad. I used it in the shower which I regret because seeing the product splattered on my shower curtain, floor, and my body was very offputting. Still, I persevered. I have mid-length hair and it took ages to wash all of the product out. When I finished I towel-dried my hair and left it to airdry as stipulated in the instructions. The results - I am surprised to say that my hair felt fabulous once it dried. It was shiny, and so very soft. It also still stunk of the product! Even after using hairspray on it, I could still smell the product. The smell lasted a good day and a half. If it wasn't so messy to use and if it smelled much better I would use it regularly to get the result on my hair. But I just can't stomach it. Maybe you will like the smell, or at least tolerate it better than me, either way, it definitely gives a clean scalp and lovely soft hair. Would it have worked to slow down or stop hair loss? I don't know, but it definitely wouldn't surprise me.
4.0 out of 5 stars Natural, feels good on the skin but very expensive
This hair cleaner powder can get a bit messy, akin to the process of diluting henna with water. Its pleasant floral/plant fragrance comes from the natural ingredients. Mixing and applying it to the roots is easy, providing a nice scalp cleanse. However, my wife feels it might not be suitable for the ends of her hair, as this could potentially damage the ends or worsen already split ends. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, it does have a lovely scent and feels great on the scalp. A small improvement could be adding a scoop to assist with the mixing process. One notable drawback is its cost. The recommended usage of 4 to 5 spoons per application implies it can last only 3 to 4 washes, making it quite expensive at the current price of £13.82. This cost might be prohibitive for some users.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works well when you get the consistency right
To start with this is a bit of trial and error to get the consistency correct would be good if it came with a scope but once you get it right it becomes easy to mix it’s not like having a wash and go it needs preparationOnce I started to use it my scalp felt more moisturised and my hair looked a lot more healthier and not so dull it was easy to apply from the roots to the tips I used a head shampoo massage brush
3.0 out of 5 stars Bit of a faff to mix up
Doesn't feel great applying to hair but does feel clean and fresh afterwards just not a convenient product to use

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the effort
I didn't realise this hair mask comes in powder form and while this mask is quick to make ( you just need to add a little water to make a semi-thick paste) it is obviously not as convenient as a ready made mask. Due to the consistency of the paste it is not the easiest to distribute in your hair. The scent may be an acquired taste but I quite like it and find it pleasant. Washing the mask out can also be a little tedious as it takes a while. That being said the little bit if effort is definitely worth the results. It left my hair incredibly shiny and soft and my scalp feels clean. Definitely a nice product to incorporate in a pamper routine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works really well
If you're wanting a ready to use product then this isn't for you. But the result are definitely worth the mess. You mix it to a paste and then rub into your scalp. The smell is almost like weird insence, so is definitely an acquired scent. It took a while to rinse out but once my hair dried it was so shiny and soft. The next time I tried an apple cider vinegar rinse afterwards and the results were even better. I absolutely love it.
