Wall bracket seems sturdy and the retracting mechanism works well so far. I'd prefer it if the reel had some sort of lock that you could secure it to the bracket, otherwise, someone can simply lift it off and take it away. I know it's only a hose, but it's not cheap, so a bit of security would've been good. Not had it too long, but used it a few times and so far, so good.

My eldest has just got in to washing cars for pocket money and was forever kinking the hose as he rewound it. We were after a longer one anyway so invested in this retractable version, and its brill. Stretches all the way to the front of the driveway and coils back up beautifully (just don't let it go or it will whip off at speed). The hose gun it comes with is good too. Taking it with us when we move as its that good!

I can't tell you how many hoses we've had over the years but none match this one it's very easy to use...even for me hose seems good quality and it's actually a pleasure to use only thing is it wind in very smooth and very fast so be a bit careful...top marks from us :)

Fixed to my garden wall with the fixings supplied but once filled with water the hose reel dropped as the bracket collapsed! We again fixed it with longer screws but the bracket pulled out of the wall again!

Make watering easy
Coming in at 118 feet, this retracting water station is a great help. No more coiling up and messing around with extra long hoses.This unit comes with the case and hose assembly, a mounting bracket, screws and inserts, template and a spray nozzle. The case is quite heavy and has a very stout handle for lifting. The bracket is well made and when the case is mounted it will allow you to swing the unit left and right. There is a mechanism within that will lock the hose at the chosen length. A short tug and the mechanism will release. It will auto retract and has a built in guide so that the hose does not bind or foul when retracting.The case does not have a means to lock it into the mount so it would be easily removed. When left out in an open area it would be nice to know that it is somewhat secure. This I will try to rectify. The nozzle has a number of selective patterns but is a little flimsy and will probably not last long. The hose is not real heavy duty but most hoses in these cases are not. So far the two retracting water stations that we have been using are just fine and have not degraded being protected by the case that they are in. This, we are hoping, should be the same.Bottom line is we love not messing with a long hose and this makes watering the yard much easier and will probably lead use to watering on our desired schedule.
Loving the retractable feature!
This hose is great! I had an issue with the delivery taking absolutely FOREVER, but that's not a product defect. I like being able to pull out as much hose as I need without having to guess and unloop the correct amount. Then you just slowly let the base catch and it holds out the selected amount of hose with no pressure applied. To recoil you pull out slightly and let it wind back in.The one con I face is that I must mount this to something. I really don't want to put holes in the side of my house, so I'll need to think of an alternate. Maybe I can put a post in the ground next to the house? Simple problem, but the hose itself, I am quite pleased with so far.
Very handy, was easy to install
I got this for my brother at his new home and he really loves it! It was easy to install on a 4x4 post and when you pull tho hose out, it will catch so that it stays at that length and doesn't keep tugging to try and retract while using the hose. Then when you actually DO want it to retract, tug and walk it back. The guide does all the work of moving left and right to help make sure the hose winds up nicely as well. Great! There is plenty of length and this is even a nice color so that it isn't just baking in the sun and it blends into the house for the most part. He likes this so much that he's even said that he's likely to get a second one! Highly recommend this instead of the older style hose reel that requires a hand crank.

This hose reel works great. This makes it much easier to put your hose away All you have to do is give it a little tug when your done using it and the hose smoothly winds back in. Great quality and was easy to install.
