    2nd one of these we have bought. One in the kitchen and other in the caravan. Easy to fit with or without the screws as the adhesive sticker is very strong. Will take various size kitchen rolls and sits hidden under a wall unit (or on a wall) without taking up counter space. Just remember, once the adhesive touches the surface your sticking it to, that’s it, no second chances!!

    I buy stabiliser on a roll from Bolo, and am currently working on an embroidered quilt. Each square needs to be embroidered separately and therfore needs a piece of stabiliser cut to fit the hoop but the embroidered area is much smaller than the actualstabiliser used. Rather than cut a piece of stabiliser I tried putting the roll behind the machine and hooping but the roll did its own thing and skitted all over, until I came up with the idea of getting this item, mounting it on a granite placemat and loading the stabiliser roll on it. This saves approximately 5 ins of stabiliser per square, not a lotm you may say, but when you are embroidering 50 plus squares it soon adds up. Being extendable it will take 30 cm rolls and 45-50 cm rolls, a good buy and the cost of the item will soon be recouped

    I fitted this and it appears well made.I didn't rely on the adhesive pads but chose to fit it with the screws provided as I guess the adhesive wouldn't be as strong in the long term.The long kitchen rolls fit ok.I can recommend this item.

    I’ve bought 2 of these in short space. The first I installed, it stuck well and looked good. Within a week the vertical rod snapped, where it meets the plate that sticks to the surface. I thought ok maybe I was too rough. Bought a replacement, stuck it up, and this time I was extra careful when taking sheets of kitchen roll paper off, holding the roll and pulling gently (not that I should have to do this). It was good for about a week and then snap! Same thing happened again. Waste of money.
