5.0 out of 5 stars Fits a Canon C70, sturdy and comfortable
A standard cage 'snug fit' designed for a specific model of camera often costs around £100. Then you'd have to pay more to add a couple of handles. This thing is a cage big enough to house almost anything with two comfortable hand grips for half the price of a standard cage on its own.I think its good value for money and feels pretty sturdy.I'm using it with a Canon C70 cinema camera, and it fits... although there's not quite enough height left to fit a quick release plate so I have to screw the camera on directly... but then you have to do with normal cage anyway.I'm very please with it.

great value, very sturdy
5.0 out of 5 stars Feels nice and looks the part.
Works well with my A6700 in both horizontal and vertical.
5.0 out of 5 stars No more shaky videos
I like to make the odd video with my DSLR. I mount my camera on this rig and I’m ready to go. This rig is sturdy without being heavy, so I get much more steady videos. I would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well-made and versatile
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including a full overview of all necessary dimensions and mounting points as well as my thoughts on build and quality. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Very solidly made - adds a good amount of weight to enable extra stability.+ Feels great too - I do feel I can trust this with my equipment.+ Loads of mounting points on top (left, centre, right 1/4" and 3/8" holes as well as two cold shoe mounts).+ Very decent price - although it is somewhat barebones, I think for £44 (after voucher) it represents excellent value.Things I didn't like:- Could perhaps do with a base to enable you to place your rig down without it toppling forwards. However, with plenty of mounting options on the bottom, you can add your own base if required.Do I recommend it?Absolutely. It is well-made and versatile.
5.0 out of 5 stars Neewer Video Cage Rig
At the time of writing this review, the price for this Neewer camera rig is £55.99.The camera cage being reviewed offers a remarkable level of compatibility with various camera models, making it a versatile accessory for filmmakers and photographers. Compatible with a wide range of DSLR and DSLM cameras including Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and more, this cage provides a solid platform for building up your camera rig. Keep in mind that it's essential to remove the tripod collar mount ring from your lens before using the cage, as it's not suitable for such setups. The cage boasts a plethora of mounting options, enhancing its utility for creative setups. Equipped with multiple 1/4" and 3/8" female threads, cold shoes, and ARRI locating holes on both top and bottom surfaces, it accommodates a diverse array of accessories. From top handles, magic arms, microphones, and field monitors to cold shoe mount adapters, LED video lights, and RGB lights, the cage's versatility is only limited by your imagination. It's important to note that these accessories are not included with the cage itself. The design of the cage is geared towards precision and accessibility. The Arca-type plate base, with its slim profile, provides ample room for wire routing and camera adjustments. Unlike cages with a dual rod system, this design ensures unhindered access to buttons, ports, and functions on your camera without requiring the cage to be removed. Crafted from lightweight yet sturdy aluminium, the cage maintains a manageable weight while accommodating devices weighing up to 33lb/15kg.The cage's dual grips, complete with synthetic leather texture and finger contours, ensure a comfortable and secure grip for handheld shooting. This design contributes to better stability and control while capturing shots on the move. Additionally, the cage's compatibility with tripods is seamless. The 1/4" screw holes on the bottom allow direct mounting on a tripod head, enabling swift transitions between handheld and tripod shooting. This is further aided by the Arca-type base, providing a cohesive experience.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality as usual with this brand
I don't do a tremendous amount of video but I did want to get hold of this rig so that I can hold my Sony A74 a little more steadily when I do some filming without having to use a gimbal and what I found is that this is a nice and solid without being too heavy and it certainly makes it easy to hold the camera nice and steady. The extra mounting points are great if you want to add things like lights and so on although in my case I'll be using it very barebones just with the camera and possibly a microphone.I have no hesitation in recommending this because it's the typical quality that you get from Neewer and the two-handed grip definitely makes it easier to keep the camera nice and steady.I don't do long shoot so holding this with a slightly bigger camera like the Sony wouldn't be a problem for me doing a few minutes here and there. I don't know what it would be like if you are trying to film for say an hour but presumably if you're doing that you would expect to have a bit of fatigue after holding this and the camera for that length of time!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Sony RX10
Really like this cage, it fits my Sony RX10 perfectly, i can mount an external monitor on the top, a top handle too for easy carrying. The handles feel great and really comfortable to hold. The bottom tripod mount is recessed. i would have liked a removable camera mount to make battery exchange a little easier but i can manage by undoing it a little and rotating the camera around to expose the battery compartment. It comes with a really handy screwdriver that is magnetised to the bottom of the cage, i usually end up using a coin so this is useful.I will make use of the cold shoe mounts for a radio mic receiver and possibly a wireless video transmitter on some jobs.
Excelente producto.
El producto llegó en perfectas condiciones, fue lo que esperaba. Ideal para mi cámara Canon SL3 (250D) es universal y el material es rígido.
Pretty good.
Does what it's supposed to.
It's pretty nice. You can get this instead of a clunky, costlier pieced-together option
First I want to point out it's designed to be used as an assembly and is really versatile that way. My Smallrig-encaged mirrorless Sony fits fully inside so I don't have to rebuild the entire set up to switch that camera to a lighter occasion. The size is not really a limitation (the grips and bars can be disassembled and used), and rigidity is hugely important. The "versatility" that I would gain from piecing this together as in other modular options would only pay off with needing constant tightening.. and a pile of extra, unnecessary parts as your assembly grows and matures as the early pieces don't support the features you need. At least this remains a handy tool and pair of handles at worst. It's versatile enough that you can mount rails on the bottom for a tripod setup and on the top to connect a shoulder mount. It's pretty easy to run it with the viewfinder right where you want for video. It's extremely sturdy for being so lightweight. If you have or plan to get a lot of accessories and don't already have a lot of kit, you may want a couple of small cheese plates for your magic arms and cold shoes - maybe a large one for the base if you're loading up matte boxes and follow focus for stability.I use a rail assembly at the tripod mount level and lock the Neewer in with the built-in ARCA-style slide-in dovetails on the base (more versatility for positioning with a long base). It really comes alive as an assembly with a top-handle - plan for that.
Produto muito bom
Produto confiável. Eu recomendo.
Un must have
Per lavorazioni in cui portare la gimbal è scomodo, aiuta a tenere la camera stabile e facilita uso di accessori. Consigliato. Da abbinare alla maniglia.
