I'm very pleased with this drive and how easy it is to use. It was immediately recognised by both my Windows 10 Samsung laptop and Windows 11 Lenovo Desktop with no need for any additional drivers to be loaded. So true plug and play support.Both my laptop and desktop also provided enough power to the drive from a single USB 2 or USB 3 connection and so there was no need to provide any additonal power. It is however extremely useful that a external power cable has been provided in the box which would allow you provide a separate power source for the drive which might be prudent when writing large amounts of data to a CD or DVD to minimise the possibility of device disconnections if it draws more power than the single USB port on your device can deliver.In terms of discs, it has happily read my music CDS, retail data CDs for software installation without any compatability issues too. So it perfectly meets my requirements for a portable CD/DVD drive as most laptops and devices no longer come with optical drives these days.It feels quite robust and rigid and so I would expect it to be quite durable when transporting about in my laptop bag with my other devices. It also isn't overly heavy so doesn't add a great deal of weight in my bag. It has got four little rubberised feet on the base which helps it grip on shiny surfaces such as a desk and helps minimise any vibrations whilst the discs are being read.In terms of the casing, the finish seems ok for the price too with a matt underside, shiny sides and a sort of brushed diamond effect top which catches the light in quite a pleasant way.All in all this is just what I was looking for and for quite reasonable price.

Value for money Is exceptional, also comes with two cables,one for data and one for power. Works very well on my old discs including the ones I have had stored for years. It maybe plastic,but it has a nice build quality. Ready to use from the box ,but if you have any problems there is quite a lot of additional information on the Bolo page. Very light weight and easy to store away when not in use. VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE

I wanted a CD-writer to burn some audio CDs for the car and this little drive was very good value for money. It looks smart, lightweight and portable and was quick and easy to set up. Unfortunately after burning the first couple of CDs it seemed to stop recognising blank cds, however I contacted customer service and they were very helpful and sent out a replacement unit. The new drive has worked perfectly and burned a pile of CDs fast and with no issues! Very happy with my purchase!

This is a wonderful little disc player. Very smart looking and easy to use. Just plug it in and it is recognised by Windows and off you go! It runs very quietly.It comes with a cable that connect to either USB type C or type A devices and if you are using the USB A then you can connect the USB C to a power source if required.I used it mainly for my old CDs but have also watched classic films from my collection of classic DVDsHighly recomended!

I ordered a “Used - Like New” so that could be where my issues come from. It’s not silent, every so often you can hear the fans going, however, if you’re focused on your film it’s not that noticeable. Sometimes I have to put a disk in multiple times before it recognises it, but that could be an issue with my disks. The eject button doesn’t always work and I have to use the eject button on my laptop to open it, that’s really my biggest issue with it, the rest I’m not too bothered about. It does work with the MacBook M1.Overall it works well and does as it’s intended, I’m happy with it.

I needed an external DVD/CD drive and this one seemed to fit the bill on a combination of price and reviews. It arrived quickly and was easy to "set up" - actually that just means taking it out of the packaging and working out which combination of the provided cables is needed. As with many products nowadays, the instructions aren't 100% clear but it wasn't too hard to work out.I can't comment on reliability as I have only had the drive for a couple of weeks but the build quality looks quite good.
It just works...
Bought this as a present for my father as newer laptops don't include DVD Drives and he wants to be able to play his older games on disc. He is not at all technical so I needed something that you just plug in and it works.This little drive ticks all the boxes. Plugged it into the laptop, inserted a disc and the icon for that drive/disk appeared in Windows right away without any fiddling around or configuration. Was able to install/play games just as I would with any other DVD drive. It is VERY light, looks great and seems well build based on how cleanly it ejects and plays DVDs.The main "cons" for this drive are:1. The cord is about half as long as I would like. Not a game breaker but would have liked to move it further away from the laptop.2. It's a bit noisy when it's revved up and pulling a lot of information from the drive. Typical for an external drive though.3. It feels a bit more sluggish than an embedded drive. I think this is probably due to it only being powered by USB and I suspect there are power/speed tradeoffs you have to make when you don't power externalNone of the cons are anything unexpected and are true of most USB powered external drives I evaluated. Nice little drive for the money. Would buy again.

sólo hay que conectarlo y el pc lo detecta, va muy bien y por el precio que tiene es bastante robusto, el cable es un poco corto pero se guarda en la parte de abajo y queda muy compacto, sirve para dvd y cd, recomendado
