5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant product
Good quality product with useful ports and a long connecting cable
5.0 out of 5 stars A great inexpensive dock for Steam Deck.
Great product that works well with my Steam Deck, used mainly when I stay in hotel rooms while travelling. It's pretty much plug and play, and most TVs just spring to life when the HDMI cable is connected. I have noted that some hotel TVs are fussy and require a reboot of the Steam Deck while it is docked so that the HDMI port connects as the device boots up, but I think that's a fussy TV rather than the dock. I've connected keyboard and mouse to the dock and the pass through to the Steam Deck was flawless. The power pass-through works fine too, charging the device while you play. The Steam Deck is held securely in the angled dock, although I don't have an aftermarket case/shell on my Steam Deck so have only used it to hold the default device. I haven't used the display port connector on the back, but I have tried the Ethernet port when the hotel had poor WiFi and it passed through to the Stream Deck fine, allowing speedy game updates.
4.0 out of 5 stars Had a good run
Great alternative to play the Steam Deck on a bigger screen. That was until my wired controller no longer wanted to work along with my wired keyboard and mouse. The lights turn on them when connect, then turns off. My controller vibrates when I connect it. Sometimes it works for a split second then stops. Sometimes the lights flicker as if there's a lack of electricity going through them, making the connection very unstable and unpredictable. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻I've tested my controller, keyboard and mouse on other devices and they work, so they aren't broken. Same for testing different controller to the Dock, still doesn't work. So I've been having to use my PS4 controller wirelessly and use the onscreen keyboard. It was fun while it lasted, but it's too frustrating when you want to play something and you can't use anything connected to it because it refuses to cooperate. I'm not saying its a bad purchase, it did what I wanted which was to tie me over until I buckled to buy the official Dock. Hence the 4 stars. I might've just got unlucky with mine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5.0 out of 5 stars perfect
Works great
5.0 out of 5 stars It works
Does what it says. Currently have it driving two HDMI screens (using one DP to HDMI converter), webcam, two dongles for wireless keyboard/mouse and headset, and ethernet. Perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good
Good connection, no problem with setting up
1.0 out of 5 stars Audio does not pass through to TV
I found that the audio is not passed through from a Steam Deck to a TV (Philips, fairly modern/standard).Initially I believed this was an issue with the Steam Deck rather than the dock so I spent some time troubleshooting it and trying different things, mainly passing the audio to a speaker via the headphone socket, however I've now found that a standard USB hub (1/3 of the price) has no such issue. Disappointing as it was advertised specifically as a docking station for Steam Deck.
3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing performance
I got the Dual-HDMI + DisplayPort variant, which claims that it can drive up to 3 displays, even multiple up to 4K (even if only promising lower framerates). However, after spending multiple hours and writing my own modelines for my monitors (a 27in UHD and a 24in FHD) screen, I figured out that this is bandwidth limited.I could only drive both displays at 1920x1080 (FHD) resolution, or the bigger display at full resolution and the smaller one with interlacing, which caused ghosting. I know that the port of my laptop can handle both displays, as I was able to drive both of them at full resolution with a competitor's product, so the issue lies with this dock. I even tried various combinations of HDMI and DP connections, but was still unable to make it work. There is also noticeable coil whine, not as bad as with another dock I tried, but still.Long story short, if you only have FHD displays to connect this will be fine, if you have more, you might be disappointed. A bit of a shame, but I suppose it explains why proper thunderbolt docks are more than twice the cost of this.
Great buy!
Affordable, such a great price. I love the all in one convenience of this product.
does what it says!
I've purchased USB adaptors from other sellers and they would rattle when I shook them. The MOKIN adaptor seems to have better build quality and works really well. fits snug along the side of the mac--would definitely buy an adaptor from MOKIN again :). Haven't used this one for long but I upgraded from another smaller adaptor that has lasted for over a year with no problems. u can also charge ur mac through the USB-C but it doesn't have 2 outlets if u need them.
Great price
Makes working on a laptop so much better bc the usb doesn’t just automatically eject like those usb dongles with the cord.Would be nice with more than one usbc port but overall better than the other ones on the marketMake sure you don’t drop your laptop cos you have to use this without (bottom) case.
Works well
Ok for price, works ok.
