It’s very easy to control from your phone and setup. The brightness control is amazing and the quality of the bulb makes it very strong (I accidentally dropped it trying to put it in the socket and it didn’t even dent or shatter) it’s easy to connect anywhere, to the ceiling, a lamp, anything. You’re able to set times when it can dim, turn on, turn off. Its performance is lag free and connects to the internet and Alexa/ phone perfectly fine, you’re able to make the light flicker different colours rapidly if you wanted to, you can pick very specifically which colour you want on using your phone.

Not much to say really. What you see on the Bolo page is what what you get. The default is a horrible harsh white, but once you set it to warm white it produces illumination that is actually quite pleasent. The colours are ok, nothing special, but then that's fine given the price. The music pulsing feature is neat, but requires your phone mic to work. Again, this is perfectly acceptable given the price, and it's just a novelty at best rather than something you'll use often.Set up is also easy. Just screw them in, download the app and follow instructions.

Installed the light to the lounge room of the house. Was really impressed with the quality and colors of the "neutral" or "illumination" lights, much better than previous non-smart cheap bulbs that were tiring to the eyes due to barely noticable flickering. Also, this one is much brighter than I thought smart bulbs are and overall genuinely impressed with how it performs. The colored settings are great as well, easily controlled with the app.The only concern with this light is privacy. I didn't realize it will connect to my Wi-Fi - meaning it is communicating with some servers somewhere and potentially collecting data. I had another govee device - LED strips, and these were communicating via Bluetooth only. At first I thought that it's not much of a deal, but then I realized lamp can use connected device microphone and that gave me some uneasiness. On the bright side, seems like there is no microphone on the bulb itself, thus this privacy concern potentially can be avoided by killing the app when not in use or restricting microphone usage. Reading online seems like other people are a bit concerned about Govee's app data collection, but that's another topic, not fully related to this review.TL;DR: pretty good quality lamp bulb for a comparably low price. Good brightness on illumination mode, no flickering and colors are vivid.

The media could not be loaded. First time buying anything like this and I’m glad I bought these. The app was easy to set up along with connecting to the web. Easy then to connect and control with Alexa. Can turn off the one in our grandsons room from downstairs once he’s asleep which is great, means we don’t need to go in the room. Loads of colours so it can match the room. I have mine set up to go on at dusk so if I’m not in the it looks like there is someone home so a good security feature.

Great bulbs, easy to install and use thanks to the Govee mobile app. They get pretty bright and can be set to any colour you wish while remaining flicker free.You can add them to designated room groups via the app so they turn on in tandem with your other smart devices and have great automation features such as turning on at sunset and off at sunrise etc.There's a few more settings such as beijg reactive to sound and predefined scenes which can be cycled through automatically gradually changing colour which can be easy and fun way to enjoy these bulbs.There's Alexa support built in, however, I have yet to check that out myself.

I used these to replace a couple of Philips hue bulbs that had got to the point of not going off completely anymore, a common problem I understand. I thought I would give these a go as the Philips bulbs were a few years old anyway. I paid less than have the price of a single Philips white bulb for both these coloured Govee bulbs. I found the app very easy to use and they linked to my Alexa automatically once I had paired the Govee skill to my Bolo account. The first thing I noticed was that they are brighter than the Philips bulbs but that may be down to the age of those. I like that I can change between warm or cold white and everything in between. I will rarely if ever use the colour changing feature but it is nice to have and works from voice control. The best thing however is how fast they respond to commands, they are linked via wi-fi rather than the home hub and respond instantly to commands unlike the Philips bulbs which always had a noticeable delay. I will definitely be buying more of the Govee brand.

This bulb is one of the best investments that I have ever made in terms of my bedroom decoration. The bulb works even better than advertised when using the app. It is able to change the colour in real time and is easily connected to your Alexa through your Bolo account and can be easily installed in any room of the house. I highly recommend this buy!
