5.0 out of 5 stars No nonsense KVM switch, solid build quality and reliable.
This HDMI KVM Switch is an excellent solution for anyone needing to manage multiple devices with a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup. My previous KVM Switch, from a well known established brand, was flakey as the switch button got stuck or it simply didn't switch devices and I had to remove the cables to reset it.I've had this switch since early September 2024 so I wanted to use/test it thoroughly before reviewing it.Why I rate this KVM Switch--------------------------------4K@60Hz Support:This switch supports 4K at 60Hz which is great for the average gamer. If you're using it for video editing or design work then this switch will handle the workload effortlessly.Multiple USB 3.0 ports:This KVM switch comes equipped with additional USB 3.0 ports, which is a great upgrade over my existing KVM switch, which only had two ports for the mouse and keyboard. It works perfectly with wireless dongles (for my wireless mouse and keyboard).Easy Setup:Plugging my main PC and my work laptop in to the switch was a breeze. It took me less than 5 minutes to have everything up and running. Switching between devices is super simple with either a press of the 'Select' button or using the supplied controller (wired).Good Build Quality:The overall build feels solid and durable. The HDMI and USB ports are well-positioned, and the 'Select' switch button has a satisfying click and is quick to respond. In terms of latency, this switch feels more modern with high-quality circuits to minimise delay when switching. It is certainly much quicker than my previous KVM Switch.--------------------------------If you are looking for a no nonsense KVM switch which is solidly built and reliable - I would highly recommend this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars A solidly built KVM switch
After my previous KVM switch started playing up, I decided to upgrade, finally settling on this model out of the range on offer. So far I am very happy with it. It is easy to install, is solidly built, and has a switch both on the metal box and another on the end of a long cable. The one on the box is easier to use, but both work correctly. Changeover when the switch is pressed is not immediate, it takes about a couple of seconds for the pictures to change, but there is a blank screen in between. There are a couple of slight criticisms. The changeover switch is on the front of the box, not on the top, but one quickly gets used to this. The two lights on the front of the box indicating which computer is cbosen are almost useless, being tiny and really only viewable if you are crouching at the same level as the lights. But these are minor problems and I can live with them.Only time will tell how long this box will last as I have only just fitted it, but it looks good so far.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected except for one thing
Works as expected, and solved one of my issues with my current setup.Dropped 1 star due to the 'one thing' that my previous KVM didn't do which is, when you switch away from an input, the screen resets to my laptop screen. To add some context, I use this with 2 laptops and a single monitor with both configured to use the 2 available screens independently. My previous KVM would respect the 2 screens when switching between the two devices but this one resets to a single screen when switching away from that device. This certainly adds an extra couple of seconds when switching between the two devices.Hopefully it'll be fine long term and I'll get used to it but time will tell.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great after sell service!
The item was quickly delivered but nothing works! No signal on the screen at all! The company contracted and offered a replacement. The switch was sent to very quickly, now it works like a charm! I am very satisfied! 5 stars! I would have given 6 stars if I could!
5.0 out of 5 stars Total worth the purchase
I purchased this after extensive research with almost every type of modern KVM available on Bolo. I was concerned about the quality of the product as it costs around €35, whereas most industry-leading products go in the 300+ euro range. I wanted a good KVM that could switch between my office and personal PCs, and I do not have a 4K monitor. Also, I have used the product for three months before I do the review to ensure the quality. At the end of the period, I am extremely happy with the quality and functionality of the product and its performance. On the Performance, the switch between is within 3-5 seconds, which I think is a limitation on the OS/monitor rather than the device, as USB notoriously takes that discovery time to load the drivers. The same goes for monitor discovery for input. However, considering that, switching is immediate and with no degradation over time. Also, the USB speeds are good for all my devices to perform without lag. Previously held USB-C 3.1 devices were lagging, considering they were pushing video and KB/M through them. This switches all devices without any lagging. Note that I do not route Storage through this, which still works, but I haven't tested the speeds much rather than USB 2.0 file sharing (So don't look for USB 3.1/2 file transfer speeds from my review)Unless you have money to take 300+ level1techs like devices which give you Thunderbotlt 3/4 performance, do not spend 100s of €s on a KVM where you can buy this. I know multiple counterfeit devices are in the market; hence, I always buy from a reputable seller. I can only recommend this seller as I have bought from him.Note: You need to buy 2 x HDMI cables to be used. Not included.
3.0 out of 5 stars Trouble getting it working with Mac + PC
I've a Macbook Pro M2, Windows PC, one monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam and USB speakers. It's all working now and I'm pretty happy with it from that perspective.. but I did struggle on the Mac side. I purchased a USB C to HDMI cable, which worked fine. But the USB C to USB A cable I connected from the Mac to the KVM did nothing. I tried swapping cables. I tried various security options. Nothing worked. I then slipped a "Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Data Hub" between the Mac and the KVM - it now all works fine. Weird.
Does its Job Perfectly.
I Bought it to share Keyboard/mouse/screen and Camera to PC and LaptopI connected all the products to the switch as the added flowchart showed and it works perfectly with the switch button.after i tried bunch of switches from diffrenet manufacturers this is the best one, and it is with 4 Usb for 2 computers, the best ratio i found. the kit comes with the button connector, power ac (which suites 110-240V 50/60Hz) , and 2 Usb connectors for the computers.Very Recomanded Kit.
Sturdy and performs.
Haven’t got any connection issues, this powered switch performs much better than the only USB ones. I only use it for mouse and keyboard since my monitors require DP connection
Works great.
I needed a KVM switch to share my monitor/keyboard/mouse between two old school linux boxed. This thing fits the bil
Consigliato.
