Beautiful Color, Love The Formulation!
I always wanted to try a makeup item from Trish McEvoy ever since one of the big beauty social media influencers I like has raved about this brand. I don’t take it lightly when a gloss costs $33, and I was super curious if it’s actually “worth” the splurge. The color “Innocent” is just beautiful—a mid-tone pink mauve, with a touch of rosey pink added in to brighten it up. It’s not exactly a berry shade, not orangey, and not too vibrant, but more of a beautiful neutral, mellow pink tone that looks lovely!The swatch on the product photo looks quite pigmented so I wasn’t sure if this more of a liquid lipstick with high coverage or a sheered out wash of color. The formula is definitely a true gloss that gives a nice soft layer of pigment. The gloss itself is thicker and a bit “sticky” (to me this is not a bad thing at all), which I prefer because I like my lip glosses to grip to my lips instead of slipping off easily. I sipped an entire ice coffee with a straw and the gloss is still on my lips a couple of hours in. I’m not saying this will hold-up like a liquid lip color, but it’s a longer-lasting lip gloss for sure! I also like the classy frosted tube and the overall feel of high quality. The gloss itself isn’t scented, but it has a subtle gloss smell which is barely detectable.I absolutely love this gloss and in all honesty I get the positivity surrounding this brand. The price is the one thing that keeps me from trying the other colors in this line-up, but I think it’s worth it to splurge on one tube to add to your collection. Made in USA.
Not the best color, weird texture.
I wanted to like this but I’m just not a fan. It’s a terrible shade in my opinion, different then what I thought I would be getting. Also the texture itself is gross. It’s sort of in between a gloss and a chapstick.
