3.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect but fine
This was a brand I was using while back in Turkey but seems like this is a bit different, its not smelling so nice and the tin box was damaged.

I’m a huge fan of everything that is Turkish , so I bought this coffee. Let me just say that this coffee is absolutely amazing and delicious, I love it more than any other coffee I have had. I highly recommend and I will be buying this again.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good price
It’s a bit more bitter than my usual Nedjar but very acceptable. Can’t complain at £10 a kilo!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent choice
Tasty, great aroma, extra fine grind.
5.0 out of 5 stars Deliciously smooth and intense
This Turkish coffee is delightful and is of high quality. The bag, whilst appearing small is absolutely packed with coffee that has been ground super fine. Once opened ensure you keep it in an airtight container to maintain freshness a the bag isn’t resealable. The coffee is ground to almost a powder. It is ideally used in a Turkish coffee pot but you could get away with using it in your mokka pot but be warned it will push through the filter and you will end up with it in your coffee chamber. Not that this is a problem as the coffee will sink due to how finely it is ground. The only problem with using it in a mokka pot is you will not get the full Turkish coffee flavour profile or experience. On this note the coffee is not good for use in a percolator or cafetière as it will clog them up.When making coffee I followed the instructions on the pack but was not particularly successful on my first attempt as the coffee had no foam, which is a necessity in Turkish coffee, this after watching videos online was due to me probably over mixing and over boiling. So on my second attempted I used two heaped teaspoons into the pot and mixed the water in very briefly before closely watching it brew on the hob. This time I got the result I wanted. A strong and bold coffee with an indulgent and smooth foam. The coffee has a deliciously rich depth and whilst stronger than an espresso it is a lot smoother. This is a great coffee and once you nail the breeding technique it will only get even better. It is a great addition to your coffee habit and I would definitely recommend it so long as you get the correct equipment to make it.

Je recommande et je vais recommander encore
Schmeckt genial!
A full-bodied coffee with a sour character and lacking in aroma
14 - KOCATEPE TÜRKISCHER KAFFEE - Traditional Turkish Coffee - 500 gr-Dose - Medium-roasted Arabica coffee since 1949I purchased this Kocatepe Turkish coffee with high hopes, drawn to its long tradition and the promise of an authentic flavor. The packaging is pleasant and the quantity of coffee is generous, but the coffee blend does not live up to the promised expectations. The taste: The coffee is undoubtedly full-bodied and creates a dense cream in the cup, typical of Turkish coffee. However, the flavor profile seemed rather flat. The acidity is very pronounced, so much so that it is almost unpleasant. The coffee has an extremely simple flavor profile, lacking the spicy and complex notes that characterize a good Turkish coffee. Unfortunately, the high acidity triggered an episode of reflux for me, forcing me to stop drinking it.Preparation - Instructions on the box: The instructions on the packaging are vague and imprecise, leaving the Turkish coffee enthusiast to deal with an uncertain preparation. For a product that boasts such a long tradition, I expected more detailed and clear instructions. In conclusion: If you are looking for a Turkish coffee with a balanced and aromatic flavor, I highly recommend looking to other brands. This product, despite its long history, failed to win me over. The excessive acidity and the flat flavor profile make it, in my opinion, a product not worth repurchasing.EDIT:I've noticed a significant improvement in my coffee since switching to new water source and starting to measure the exact quantities of coffee and water.RECIPE:Equipment:▪️Ibrik▪️Scale▪️TimerIngredients:▪️6 grams ground coffee (adjust to your preference, 1 gram of ground coffee for 10 ml of water)▪️3 grams sugar (adjust to your preference)▪️60 ml waterInstructions for my extraction:▪️Weigh the coffee and sugar directly into the ibrik, then add the water.▪️Stir everything together.▪️Place the ibrik on the stove over low heat.▪️After one minute, stir the coffee with a spoon. This will enhance the flavor and crema.▪️Over the next minute and a half to two minutes, adjust the heat as needed to ensure the coffee is fully extracted within 3 minutes total.▪️Pour the coffee into a cup and let it sit for 2 and a half minutes before drinking.▪️Serve the coffee with a glass of water and a Turkish delight (lokum) or a piece of chocolate.
