I admit I was nervous about buying, but I did want to find something because I have never been a fan of hairdressers (it always use to go round and round my head - how many heads had this comb or these scissors scraped across today?!?), so hence my purchase of this productYou get the device, a usb charger, a small brush for device, a small bottle of oil for the cutting section of device and two ‘combs’ for cutting hair grades, which are ‘screwed’ into the device.After charging the device overnight as advised, I used the second comb, which leaves the longest hair size ( equivalent of grade 4), because I could never imagine going much shorter than that tbh!The instructions state the way you should begin ‘cutting’ your hair and so I began.After five minutes or so I was a little anxious, possibly because I’ve so used to someone cutting my hair with scissors and initially I thought the whole thing wasn’t working.But I kept going and I realised that it was cutting the hair on different parts of my lead that were different lengths to one length (grade 4) all overAdmit it took a while (I didn’t think I had particularly long hair) and the length of time it took to finish was around 30-40 mins, but maybe that was because it was my first time using.The result was a good, uniform ‘cut’ equivalent to grade 4 all over my scalp, so I was impressed.Might not be ‘for everyone’ but I’d say if you were wanting a uniform cut all over, going on holiday and want a no fuss cut good enough for something like the beach or travelling, I’d say give this device some decent consideration

As life has not been kind regarding my hair, I've been using hair clippers for 25 years. These are game changers to the men who are follically challenged! I love this device, makes my life so much easier when it comes to cutting the back and sides to the uniform length you want.

Where to start? It’s poor, it leaves so many patches as your unable to get close behind the ears, if you have hair grow in different directions then you are forever going over the same places.After you give up hopelessly cutting your hair, you get the fun of cleaning up the room where you cut your hair because it throws it everywhere. In the end I had to get out my old clippers to recut my hair, it’s not a lot shorter than I wanted it to be but there we’d nothing else I could do, so I bit the bullet and now I’m pretty much a skinhead.Nice idea but hopeless in practice. I’ll stick with my clippers.

It works well on most of the flat areas of the head. However, it is able to cut hair behind the ears or the back the neck under where the skull curves. A separate hair clipper would be required for those areas.
