Was not expecting much considering the low price but was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality.There are some parts that could improved but it is a good deal considering the price.It is ideal for the occasional user. I couldn't justify a more expensive setup as I wouldn't use it enough.

I ordered this kit as a studio to be able to setup at home and with the intention of travelling to clients houses with a lighting set up that I could easily put up. One thing I love about this kid is how everything so easily fits into the big black bag that contains all the equipment. It’s sturdy and honesty is a very heavy to carry. I was pleasantly surprised at how much room is in the bag and how it’s not a struggle to get everything fit inside every time you unpack and then have to reset up.Having read reviews of this product, after I bought it, I started to feel a little bit worried as a lot of the reviews claimed that it was very cheaply made, wasn’t good for a intermediate photographer and quite a few people said that parts broke when they tried to use it for the first time. Having now use this kit for about 3 to 4 times so far, I am really impressed with how durable it is and how sturdy it is, which is not what most of the reviews seem to say. You do need to be careful with the kit, like anything you buy, but for a pricetag of just over £160, this is a fantastic bit of kit. From reading on reviews and experimenting with myself, the information about the remote control is true – the kit comes with four controls, but all of the lights link to 1 remote at a time therefore, you will end up with three spare which I never think is a bad thing.As a photographer I tend to leave one remote in my bag one remote in my car, just in case another at home and then I have a spare if one breaks. The lighting system works really well and the soft boxes and umbrellas are great as well. Overall, if you are a photographer that is wanting to do studio lighting at home or test out and experiment with different set ups or whether you are a photographer that likes to take your studio to, and from places, I couldn’t recommend this kit enough. It’s a great starter kit, and even if you are an intermediate photographer still worth it, you can buy a range of different backdrops that fit, and I was really impressed with the size of the backdrop stand, and how much it actually increases to. Highly recommend. Worth trying out yourself rather than focusing on negative reviews

The set comes nicely packaged and value for what it costs but the stands are quite flimsy and the stands fall over very easily. The clip for the extension pole snapped the moment I opened it with very little force extorted. Bolo won't let me ask for one part to be replaced so have to return the entire kit for a refund and re-order the entire kit once refunded so quite a mission and inconvenience for one part.

Bought this so I could do some studio work. Everything worked great apart from 1 buld. Contacted seller and no issues, problem rectified. Great piece of kit and a very good seller.
3.0 out of 5 stars Limited Features and Brightness - Not for Portrait Photography.
It seems like a lot for the money, and in some ways it is. Provided you manage your expectations and use this kit when you can get away with a slower shutter speed or higher ISO, you’ll get decent results. Probably best summed up as a half-decent toy to learn some lighting basics.Usable for some still-life etc, but forget decent portrait shots.However, the lack of control will rapidly become an issue, as will the lack of ultimate brightness and colour accuracy.There are four lights in the the kit along with four remote controls. It’d be easy to assume that each remote control is paired to an individual lamp. But no. Pick up any of the remotes and change the settings and this applies equally to all lights. So there’s no way to balance the output of each light individually. Also makes three of the remote controls redundant and basically just e-waste …

The lights are alright but you really do get what you pay for. The build quality is very lightweight and fragile. One of those product where you can put it up but taking it down might break it type deals. So think twice if your wanting it for more that 1 occasion.
useful and valued photography kit
The Vevelux Photography Lighting Kit is an excellent value for money.I got it for my live streaming yoga lessons and I love how easy it is to setup. I like that all the kit fits all in its dedicated bag, and each of the 4 light stands have their own individual carry bags.The 4 lights supplied with the kit are powerful enough to light up my small yoga studio setup, while the remote controls provided allow me to change the light intensity levels, from cold to warm, and an in-between setting that seems to work best for my needs. The materials used are more than adequate for light to medium use. In my case, I set them up to my liking and basically all you need to do is operate the remote to turn them on. The lights will remember the last setting you used before turning them off, which I find very convenient. One tap at the on/off remote is all I have to do. Each light has its own remote control, however I have been using just one to control all the lights at the same time.The kit also comes with 3 backdrops, but I haven't used them yet. All in all I really like this kit, it is simple to setup even if you do not have prior experience, setting up a lighting kit and for the price it is a a bargain. I will probably add an other one for my second yoga studio.

I am a beginner but I have read reviews of more experienced photographers liking this as well. I opted for this particular one because of the 4 LED bulbs and I just bought reflectors separately. I wasn’t sure if it came with 4 light stands but I was happy to see that it does, for anyone else wondering. It’s sturdy enough for what it is and it assembled quickly and I even easily fit it all back into the bag it came with. I am happy with this purchase.

Not what I'd hoped for . . . might return
I loved the idea of getting a kit with everything I'd need to take pictures of products to sell online. I'm as new as one can be to photography for marketing. I love that the backdrop frame is adjustable, and I liked that I was fairly easy to put assemble. However, the backdrop frame is very weak and unstable. I would NEVER use this outside if there is any kind of breeze. This is the second one of these I've purchased (different seller), and I'm wondering if the instability is just the way these things are? I can't believe that. At any rate, I don't know if I'm going to return this kit as well. Maybe third times the charm??
It was really good!
It was super good at first, I got mine delivered on February 7th, used it a few times, and now today is February 18th and I lost everything in the kit in a flood, so I will probably just have to buy again :(
