I love my sparking water and love the convenience of making it at home when I want rather than buying plastic bottles and running out, or storing them for too long and ending up with days when you don't dare to leave the house ..... That said, this is my first sparking water maker and I spent hours researching wich one to buy. I decided for this model - not the cheapest but also not the most expensive and here are my thoughts:- it is a lot larger than I thought but still looks nice in my kitchen. A lot of the modern ones are very bulky and this desing is as modern as one can find and actually a lot slimmer than others - one of the main reasons why I chose this one rather than others sold for under £100 and include a a bottle or two of CO2- very easy to set up - I had it up and running within minutes without the need to read the manual. I still read it just to make sure but setting it up was a breeze- the first impression is really good - it makes lovely sparking water and I love being able to adjust the strenght of bubbles- the bottle is great - albeit not glass, it is the glass-like plastic which I much prefer than those plasticky bottles that come with other soda makers- I expected steel or metal of some kind but it seems to be made of plastic - not too bad as it looks great and feels lovely. It will be easy to clean and doesn't leave finger marks as the other ones do - so I'm not complaining but for the price and given the advert, I expected metal- Sold for £140 and for this price I wish it came with a bottle of CO2 - I got 2 bottles for £45 so all in all, not cheapOverall I am really happy with it - it only arrived today so too early to say if it will last but hoping it will. It is not cheap but similar designs sell for close to £200 so not too bad. It works as expected, it makes a lot of bubbles and takes great so I will be making full use of it over the next months to come, especially in summer.

I was really skeptical at first due to the price, however I took the plunge. No regrets here! Such a stylish look device that just quite simply works! Full alloy build and you can feel the quality when using this product. This im sure will last a long long time. Such a breeze also that it works with the sodastream co2 screw in bottles. I recommend this product if you don't mind the high end price, but you are getting a quality product that is going to last.

Gas escaped around the top.... indeed company replaced 1st faulty model... though had to organise repayment of import duty!!!... 2nd machine OK for a bit but gas escaping again... screwed in securely so that not the issue... cylinders only last approx 10 days.... I use this daily.... fed up so it's going in the bin....

This is a brilliant sparkling water machine. Years ago I had a soda stream and this MonTen is a new, sleek and space-saving design. This does require a gas cylinder and I did purchase an extra bottle.This is so easy to use, it has instructions that are very simple to follow. The bottle, 1 of which is supplied, does have min and max lines on so you know just how far to fill so be able to safely then gas up.The bottle is screwed into the top of the machine, you then press the large button on the top and this releases the air from the cylinder into the bottle of water. Then you have sparkling water.Into this, you can add syrups but I used to use squash. I used a squash concentrate and this gave me a lovely fruity sparkling drink.I like this machine a lot, it already has had a lot of use and will get plenty more over the summer months. After the initial outlay, this is a good machine and one I would definitely recommend.

I got this mainly for my daughters who love sparkling water and cost me a fortune buying bottles of it. Even though the price is quite high, I figured I would easily save that much in as little as 6 months by not buying shop bought and they could have unlimited amounts of it.To start with the positives: it looks gorgeous - very sleek design that takes up little room. It's taller than I expected but that wasn't an issue, it looks really quite classy (and out of place in my drab kitchen!). The bottle provided is a lovely design too, well made and large capacity at 900ml. I did buy another bottle so both my daughters can take them to school / college without having to share.My main gripe - there is no CO2 bottle included. I stupidly presumed there would be for the price but I should have read the description properly because it does state that this is not included.I didn't realise the price of the gas was so high at about £25 a bottle so it will have to wait till next payday before I can get gas and test this out properly. The only upside to that is that the gas bottles are supposed to last ages so won't need replacing too often, but I would rather have had one included for a slightly higher price.

Je suis ravie de cette machine à gazéifier l'eau , je l'ai offerte en cadeau d'anniversaire à mon copain. Son design change des autres, il se fond dans la cuisine et reste minimaliste. Cependant, j'ai égarer le bouchon de la bouteille d'eau livrée avec .. si jamais le vendeur était enclin à me renvoyer un autre, je lui en serais infiniment reconnaissante !

Makes drinking water a pleasure
As in other reviews the most remarkable issue is not the soda maker but the soda itself. To be fair the soda maker is a good looking addition to any kitchen but it’s form and hight is mainly dictated by the co2 cartridge so it remains ones personal taste whether to buy a cheap entry model or this shiny metal one for substantially more money. I do not regret buying it and I appreciate the ability to buy extra bottles. You definitely should measure your cabinet hight to make sure it fits under it. This said I had no problems this far (20L) and it works fine. To go back to the beginning I really like drinking the carbonated water and found pressing the button twice is making perfect soda. As others have remarked not having to constantly carry heavy soda bottles from the supermarket and throwing away the empty containers is a win win.
