5.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money
The bike came with a good delivery, the bike was easy to put together and no need to use the instructions as it was nearly already assembled. The fold up bike is good for taking on the Bus or the Train as it folds up to the perfect size. The bike is good value for money compared to how much you have pay in places like Halfords as I went in to this shop and the similar bike would have cost the double the cost. This bike is amazing for everyone, and good for everyday use 🚲👍
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic bike, no idea how they've done it for the money.
I bought this bike to commute to work in central London as foldable bikes are permitted on trains (and I think Brompton style bikes with tiny wheels look a bit silly). The bike is very well designed, with little bar ends to allow you to place it on the ground when folded without damaging the gear shifters etc. It is very easy to fold and the suspension is very responsive. The gears were perfectly tuned on arrival and work well due to genuine Shimano parts. You will need to know what you're doing when setting it up from the box, or get it set up by a bike shop. I saw a number of negative reviews, but I believe the problems were just caused by incorrect setup. i.e. front disc brake needed pads adjusting to stop rub etc as front wheel doesn't come fitted. This is just a two minute job following a quick Youtube video (if like me, it's your first bike with disc brakes). It is heavy, so you need to be physically strong to lug it around when folded, but this is perfectly fair given the price. Even when folded, it is much bigger than a folded Brompton, but this is unavoidable to have 'proper' wheels.I would thoroughly recommend this bike and the seller.
1.0 out of 5 stars Bad product and worse customer customer serivce from the seller
If you’d like a quick answer for buying this bike, don’t.The bike is just awful. When I received mine, I figured out from testing that the brake system was broken. This meant it was dangerous to use if I were to take it out and about, so I never really got to use it.The speed and the gear system are weirdly inverted. This means the top trigger on the left side increased the gear, with the bottom lowering it. On the right side the top trigger decreased the speed, where the bottom trigger increased it. This was very confusing. When on the bike it felt like it was going to fall apart, and it felt stiff at times when turning. This meant that if you were trying to turn a corner, you'd end up going straight into a wall. Changing the gear or speed results in a horrible clank, as it does not shift well. Applying bicycle lube to the chain does nothing. The bike I received had a frayed metal wire where I ended up cutting my leg a bunch.Worse than the bike was the customer service. I sent the seller a message and they said they would send a replacement brake which I should receive within 12-15 days which didn’t happen. When I messaged them, they just said to wait another 6-8 days. Once that didn't happen, I asked for more of a partial refund to cover my costs and I was met with a fake sob story about how they buy the bikes for £220 and sell them for £250 for almost no profit. I find this incredibly hard to believe since they had their bikes on sale for £199 during the black Friday deal. It's safe to assume they were lying.I ended up having to speak to Bolo customer service who started the return process for me, which was accepted by the seller, leaving them 48 hours to respond. They failed to do so which lead me to starting the A-Z claims. They originally argued that they did not need to issue a return as according to them I had not contacted them regarding any issues about the bike. I don’t understand this as you can literally just scroll up in the messages to see my complaints. As is Bolo A-Z policy the seller must provide a pre-paid return label for a defective product. After speaking with customer support yet again, they finally said they were arranging the return. They told me to wipe the bike down and put it in the box as it arrived. This is a clear sign they were more than likely planning to just put it back on the shelf to be re-sold as brand new. I no longer had the box and they tried to not issue the return, to which they again had to be reminded that since the A-Z claim had begun they had no choice but to accept with alternative packaging. After a 1 month long back and forth they finally said they were no longer going to accept my return as they claimed I lived in a remote area which couldn’t be collected from. Again, another silly false claim as I live in a city centre and have been able to receive and return large bulky packages in the past.Bolo policy states that if they can’t arrange collection for a deffective product they have to provide a full refund without return, again they refused and said they were not going to do so. I yet again had to speak to Bolo customer service who then said that I was right, and they went right back to trying to get the bike returned. When they couldn’t they resorted to getting me to see if I could return it, and then had the cheek to insist I try returning it through my workplace. When I told them this wouldn’t work the finally gave in and issued the refund without return. They phrased it as they were “giving me a free bike” and “gifting me the bike”. I again had to remind them that the bike was not a gift, but a broken unusable product they sold me. They continued to say it was a gift and then asked me for feedback which leads me to believe they thought it to be a sort of bribe for positive feedback. In summary, I would highly recommend not buying from them and would advise just going to somewhere trustworthy in person where you can easily get an exchange or refund.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike for the price.
This bike is amazing value. Having looked at second hand bikes all at similar price and other new bikes. This bike jumped out. Now l have the bike, l can see why. It looks a lot more expensive bike. The instructions show the bike folded on delivery. But it comes with the frame fixed ready for use. The front wheel, seat post with seat fixed on, and the disk for the front brake are all loose. The handle bar and end handles need attaching as well as the other parts. The brakes then need adjusting to make the tension right. There are also mudguards that need attaching. The bike comes with a kickstand already fixed on.The gears are thumb shift. It has rear gas type suspension. This is a big bike. Defo more an adult bike, or tall teenager. l'm 5" 5. Its ok for me. lt is a smart looking bike. Can't comment on the ride yet as l've not been out on it properly just yet. But l can tell it will be a really good ride. I may change the seat though as l won't be riding in full race gear with padded bottoms. This is just a pleasure bike for me to ride on family bike rides. l can see the racing seat being a bit uncomfortable if you're not wearing padded bottoms.Definately recommend this bike for look, value, and folding for storage and transportation. I wouldn't use this for communing if you need to jump on a train or bus. Its too big for that, even when folded.
5.0 out of 5 stars An attractive bike.
1stly, the bike came professionally packed. The instructions were clear and concise. And as the bike had already been half put together, it was easy to assemble the rest. (Thank you). I have to say , the bike is a beauty to look at. I use this bike nearly every day and it is very robust. My only concern is that although it is handy and easy to fold the bike down, there is no clip attached to the bike to keep it in place. Other than that I love this bike to bits...
5.0 out of 5 stars My bike
I love the bike well worth the money
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality easy to assemble
Quality product easy to assemble. Looks very smart lightweight and fold in seconds taking very little effort and space in car boot
1.0 out of 5 stars Deathtrap
Extremely poor manufacturing quality. Steering defective, every 100 metres screw works loose so steering lost. Mudguard broke on first use. Manual is unintelligible and qr code to instruction videos do not work. Decals on side are written in gibberish
