I wanted to find a suitable gift for a christening gift for my 8 year old niece. When the book arrived I was disappointed because it was a thinner than I was expecting. But once looking at the beautiful illustrations and reading the stories I soon changed my mind. I liked the little lessons at the end of each stories.

Stunning illustrations
We love this book, the stories are short but captivating and the illustrations are stunning. I wish they made a hardcover version so it can last a lifetime. It is truly beautiful and work of art and of course my favorite stories of the bible.
Good for reading aloud, encouraging lessons for young Christians!
This would be a useful book for reading aloud to kids in between scripture readings - Each Bible story retelling fits on one page, opposite a full-page 3D color illustration.And each ends with an encouraging lesson recap, such as: It’s important to do what’s right even if others disagree. With God's help you can do big things! He will always look out for us.Most content covers Old Testament events and individuals, from Daniel and Jonah to Moses and Elijah. 3 stories are about Jesus, and the book finishes with His crucifixion but saves the resurrection details for another day or volume.

Wonderful book for children
I believe this is the most delightful children's book I've come across in years. Illustrations have vibrant colors to attract young ones and keep their interest. I love the way she explained not only the story behind the pictures but the lesson to be learned from each story.This is good training for the future to teach children to find the teaching behind every Biblical story.This is a good first biblical reference for any child.
Pricey..
A bit high for the little bit of reading..would get this one again.
