    bot this on a whim not expecting anything really - its fabulously good at flying - quiet enough for prolonged indoor flight. only suitable for calm conditions as its a featherweight low-powered machine and cannot react quickly in fore and aft flight - the 3 speed does not really affect the reaction time but does make it go faster once its overcome inertia. the side mounted dronesque props give it true flying ability on a par with smallest single rotor helis (cost hundreds!!) its gyro stabilised with barometric altitude control so a lot of techno in a tiny inexpensive heli!!! - got it on sale so super bargain!! i fly much larger powerful heavy drones and this little aircraft is waaayyy more fun!! comes with 2 batteries and a change of colour body - i kept the silver and blue but the metallic red does look great - flight time is actually remarkably good and the lipos charge quickly - all in all a great, fun mini heli!!

    Fab remote control helicopter. 7 year old can control it very easily and loves it. Just wish it had more flight time. Takes 1 hour to charge for only 12 minutes of flight time.

    Thanks DeeRc. This company deserves top scores, as the first RC chopper was faulty. It would take off and land, but just kept spinning. I emailed them, and they said to keep the original, and they'd send out another. Many thanks.

    The media could not be loaded. I hated that it does not work - goes round in circles uncontrollably (as per video). So I got intouch with the customer support of the company, they sent me a new one, but it had the same problem, just went in circles, so I assume they all don't work. Now I'm out the money and I have 2 useless uncontrollable helicopters. Buyer beware this is a waste of money.

    I was looking for this type of remote controlled helicopter- small and easy to use indoors and out. Fast delivery and a bit of fun for my son.

    I have flown fixed and collective pitch RC "hobby quality" helis for 5 years. This diminutive "toy quality" chopper flies as well as any of the fixed pitch variety. It does great turns, pirouettes, and funnels. If replaceable parts were available and a decent hobby quality controller, it would, perhaps, be a leading contender for best starter helicopter. It is stable (the altitude hold is great), easy to control, precise in its movements, and just a general delight to fly. It is superb indoors, but can be flown outside in minimal wind conditions. The game style controller is too small and the sticks too short, but otherwse I highly recommend this chopper to anyone 12 years old or older.

    At this price point, this is a really good value and a great toy. It is the perfect helicopter for someone just learning to fly. It is packed with features and is durable enough to survive multiple crashes (but do try to avoid crashing it). My son got this for me for Christmas because he thinks I am an inept pilot (I am). It has auto take-off, auto-landing and altitude hold. I really like the auto-landing feature and it works very well. The auto take-off is nice, but takeoffs are easy & fun, and it has a tendency to drift backward or forward during takeoff and you have no control until it reaches its hold altitude, so I would rather have a manual takeoff feature, but it’s not a big deal. Auto takeoff would be better for young beginners anyway. It is very easy to maneuver indoors. The forward and backward speeds are rather slow. This is a good thing indoors, but outdoors that means that even the lightest breath of wind will blow it away. So if you want to fly it outdoors, make sure the air is absolutely dead calm or you will be retrieving it from a tree.It has survived a bunch of unintentional crashes and collisions with no damage, which is quite impressive. I have had several much more expensive helicopters and quadcopters that were easily damaged. Some reviewers complain that it loses control near walls or ceilings. That is no fault of the helicopter, it is the way helicopter aerodynamics work. In real helicopters it is called “ground effect” when landing, and pilots need to train carefully for it. But it will happen whenever the helicopter is near a surface in any direction. When the air from the blades pushes against a surface, the lift to the helicopter changes. So when it gets near a wall or ceiling, beware that it is going to change its direction or speed.It has a 3-month warranty and customer service is very responsive. I contacted them near the end of the warranty period to find out how to buy a replacement battery and they had no hesitation in sending a free replacement.
