3.0 out of 5 stars Magnesium supplement

I have tinnitus and wondered if this would help. I wouldn't say it's helped with that but as a general magnesium supplement it's good. Tablets good size and I find them easy to swallow.I've given 3 as I don't think it does what it's meant to do and it on the expensive side.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Bolo Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.I found the tablets easy to swallow, and, as you only need to take one at a time, they’re convenient to fit in to my daily routine. In summary, a good value pack.

You have to laugh. A member of our family has suffered from tinnitus for decades. I can assure you that no amount of magnesium is going to fix that. I have no idea how this advertisement has gotten away with making these claims except that it’s been manufactured outside the UK where it would never make it past the first post. That said, there is some new (very very early) research that is looking at the efficacy of magnesium for tinnitus. I said ‘research’ – that means ‘looking into it’ = probably some first year pharmacy students decided to have a jolly in their dissertation & came up with this one. Nothing definitive by a country mile so far. So don’t be guided by that.Otherwise this supplement is a high strength magnesium oxide supplement with some additions. Mag oxide has the lowest absorption qualities of all the magnesium supplements & is most often used for constipation. Yes, you heard it here first – if you take this & you don’t have any toilet troubles now you may find you spend the day with a gripey gut, running to the loo. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. What that will do for your hearing is anyone’s guess. Many magnesium supplements add B6 & Zinc to aid bioavailability so that’s standard, this one also adds Ginko which is pretty safe but you decide for you.Apart from the OTT claims that this supplement will aid your hearing loss or cure your tinnitus which is about as bogus as it gets, if you suffer from constipation this is going to do the job.Recommend with caveat.

I have suffered with tinnitus for over 10 years, made marginally worse with covid 3 years ago.I am always on the lookout for remedies to help or reduce the constant ringing in my ears, but to no avail. This product was no exception and after finishing the course, they had absolutely no effect whatsoever.I am aware there is no cure for tinnitus but am always willing to give things a go, but on this occasion I really think you should save your money, as this product didn't reduce or help.

Well, I took a punt on MAGNOX AudioGuard, hoping it would be the knight in shining armour for my tinnitus and keep any potential hearing loss at bay. The idea of popping a magnesium supplement and waving goodbye to that constant ringing sounded pretty sweet. Here's the lowdown on how it fared for me.The Nitty-Gritty:After religiously following the recommended dosage, hoping for some peace and quiet, I've come to the conclusion that my tinnitus is a bit more stubborn than I thought. It's like trying to convince a toddler that bedtime is actually a good thing – not happening. Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting miracles, but a bit of relief would have been nice.Pros:Easy to Swallow: No complaints about the pill size. It's as hassle-free as it gets, which is a blessing when you've got a small baby at home and you're already juggling more bottles than a barman on a busy night. No Nasty Aftertaste: Some supplements taste like you've just licked a pavement. Thankfully, MAGNOX AudioGuard doesn't leave any lingering reminders of its presence.Promise of Prevention: The idea that it might prevent hearing loss is comforting. With a little one at home, I want to make sure I can hear every giggle and babble.Cons:Questionable Effectiveness for Tinnitus: It seems my inner ear is more interested in keeping the party going rather than calming down. The supplement didn't make much of a dent in my tinnitus, which is a bit like being the only sober person at a rave – not much fun.Patience Required: If you're looking for instant gratification, you might be disappointed. It's more of a 'slow and steady wins the race' kind of deal, but without the winning part for me.The Verdict:In the grand scheme of things, MAGNOX AudioGuard was more of a whisper than a shout in the battle against my tinnitus. While it didn't hit the mark for me, the journey of supplements is a personal one, and what doesn't work for one might be a miracle for another. It's a bit like fishing; you've got to be patient and keep trying different baits.Would I recommend it? If you're at your wits' end with tinnitus and looking for something to try, it might be worth a shot. Just keep your expectations realistic and remember, it's not a magic pill. Meanwhile, I'll keep on the lookout for the next potential remedy – maybe something that promises to work faster than my little one can scatter their toys across the room.

Seems To Be Slowly Working A Little Bit.

Safety SealsThe bottle came in a little box with no seal around it. There was NO seal around the cap. And a very strong seal on top of the bottle.Expiration DateAugust 2026. Arrived February 2024.My Ears Are Getting A Little BetterThe Eustachian Tube dysfunction is slowly clearing up on these. If you never had that, it’s like your ear wants to pop but can’t, and it just gradually opens up some time after getting up (after sleeping on your side). The ringing is sometimes down to almost nothing, but I find that sugar definitely makes it worse. So I can barely recommend these because other things help the hearing more than these. The QualityThese Do NOT have any sugar, animal products, preservatives, artificial color, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, or soy… They are Non-GMO, Vegan friendly, BPA Free.I do NOT see the word “Tested” anywhere! And it does NOT say, Made In The USA.The ValueIt’s hard to compare this specialized form of Magnesium, but I guess this product is a good value.

    So far, I am pleased

Since including this supplement into daily routine, I’ve not experienced that annoying ringing as much in my ear.Easy to swallow, no bad taste, no aftertaste and no stomach upset.I’ve even noticed more energy. It’s not cheap, but if it works the way it’s advertised to work, it’s well worth the price.I even hear better…slightly, but noticeable, probably because I don’t have the ringing ALL the time now.I will order again to continue to see if I will continue to have the same or better results.Magnesium from the Dead Sea is premium as well.MAGNOX appears to be a good quality supplement and I look forward to continued good results.Non GMO, Non Steroid, BPA free, soy and gluten free, natural ingredients and other good stuff with this supplement has me excited to have it.Please do your own research and consult with your own health care provider before taking any supplement.I am pleased so far and recommend.

    Not sure

    M. · 22 May 2024

I am not sure that it has helped with my tinnitus at all because it doesn't seem any quieter. But they are easy to swallow and they are a good price to try them out who knows they might work for someone.

Product is causing upset stomach , headache & dizziness

    M.&.D. · 30 January 2024

I bought this product hoping it would be the solution for my tinnitus relief for ringing ears. As I started taking it, I felt so sick. Stomach upset, headache, dizziness and could not even balance my body when I walk.I have been talking other supplement but nothing make me feel like the way I felt after taking this supplement. No warning on possible side effects.

    Did not help my Tinnitus.

    R. · 16 June 2024

The capsules are easy to swallow and don't have any taste. They recommend taking 1 twice a day. Reading the instructions it sounds like their thought is that these will help PREVENT Tinnitus. I have had it for many years, and these didn't help reduce it.
