5.0 out of 5 stars An easy way to give glucosamine to a dog
When you have two arthritic old dogs who benefit from taking glucosamine but refuse to take it in tablet form, these chews are invaluable. Our dogs love them.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dog Likes Them
Tried my dog on these as soon as they arrived. They aren't too big like some of these supplements tend to be. They're round, soft a d chewy. My dog ate two of them straight away as if they were treats so Imguess he likes them so will be easy to get him to take them. A little bit on the expensive side but then again if it's good for the dogs health then it saves on the vet bills.
4.0 out of 5 stars Liver chews
This is a pot of liver flavoured treats loaded with ingredients for your dogs joints. According to my dogs size he needs 2 of these a day - going by this the pot will last 30 days. These are nice and simple and my dog enjoys these. These haven't upset his tummy and there's lots of benefits to help keep him supple, he eats them just like treats which is easy, recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars My dogs love them
I gave these to my Labrador and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the staffy immediately swallowed them but the Labrador was a little slower but eventually scoffed hers down (before her sister could steal them). The dogs definitely like them, so its a good and easy way to administer the suppliments.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal
Ideal for our two elderly Shepherds. A good mix of ingredients. They take the chews happily with their evening meal. An effective way to extend their quality of life.
5.0 out of 5 stars STRELLALAB Glucosamine Treats for Dogs
Good sized tub of treats - glucosamine is really good to keep your dogs joints healthy. My dog seems to like them so hopefully they'll do him some good!
5.0 out of 5 stars Yummy treats
Our border collie loves these treats. We’ve ordered similar ones before and been really happy with them. She’s not fussy about she eats so it isn’t surprising that they go down well with her! They come in a tub for handy storage. They are maybe not the cheapest but with 60 of them they end up being not too bad value for money. After taking these for a while she does seem more happy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended.
Easy to hide in the wet dog food we feed our elderly gent - he wolfs it all down without complaint and hopefully it's doing him some good.
Would Buy Again!
I have no way of verifying the medical efficacy of these for my dog. However, my vet recommends glucosamine for him because joint issues are native to his breed. So we've tried a few and basically go by his enthusiasm for the taste. He likes these! So we would buy again!
Dogs not crazy about these
I have two senior dogs. One of them has a lot of mobility issues. This guy will eat almost anything. I gave him one of these and he sniffed it and walked away. That is rare for him. However, he did come back and eat it after a minute. He is taking these, but not enthusiastically, like he does with most treats or supplements. It does seem to help as well as other similar supplements I have tried over the years. My other guy is a lot pickier of an eater and he wanted nothing to do with these. That is not uncommon for him. But he is moody and sometimes I can present the same food/treat/supplement to him later and he'll go for it. He did eventually take this, but this varies from day to day. He does not have serious mobility issues, so I am not as concerned with him taking these. They are not a hit with my dogs, though they do eat them. They do seem to be helping.
My dogs can't tell me, but my Vet says go ahead and use it
I have two old dogs that I know have aches. Because they are dogs, they can't tell me if this supplement works or not. So, I asked my vet about whether or not they do any good. As it turns out, he did a study while in vet school on glucosamine. He is very positive about the benefits of glucosamine. He told me it could do no harm and potentially be a benefit. For the small cost, I'll continue with their daily dosage, something that they look at as a treat. This is the fourth Advanced Glucosamine product that I have tried, and I like it better than the Vegetarian, Pork or Beef Liver flavors which smelled worse than this. The longer the time since opening the container, the smell seems to get worse. I wish my dogs could tell me which they prefer better.
Dog Chew
Joint Supplement for Dogs, mine like them.
smaller so requires more per day; typical joint supplement
Decided to give these a try to compare to other brand I normally purchase. These have about the same ingredients as other brands. However these are smaller & require more to be given each day. When you compare per supplement costs these are a bit more pricey. And I have 1 dog that is very picky. Having to give her more each day is not as easy as one. Both my dogs are getting older (8, 10.5) so I began giving joint supplements as a precaution, not due to pain. These might be better for smaller dogs that do not need multiple chews each day. Nothing wrong with them....just not a good choice for us.
