5.0 out of 5 stars Great all round desk
Not too difficult to assemble with 2 people, really sturdy and looks good. Built in plug sockets and USB ports really handy, lots of shelves too
5.0 out of 5 stars Really good sturdy desk
This is a really good desk, sturdy and looks good.Assembly wasn’t difficult so was able to do it on my own (took an hour and 56 minutes).Make sure you check which way around the metal goes as I had to redo one part.As some other comments have stated, when screwing some of the screws, they tightened up anti-clockwise.Very pleased with purchase
4.0 out of 5 stars Lives up to expectations
Straightforward to build, does look like the pictures and generally very practical form factor if you have the space. On a fairly thick carpet, it is a bit wobbly as, while it's well made, it isn't very heavy duty in terms of leg and top weight, but I didn't expect it to be at the price.Don't expect miracles and it's a lot of work space for the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect home desk
Ordered this for my son , who is starting a new job mainly working from home and it’s perfect. Took two of us to put it together but looks fabulous and is very sturdy as well , very impressed with it .
5.0 out of 5 stars Broken plug
We have bought a desk but unfortunately plug for sockets is broken. We just wanted the lead replacing but the only option is to return the desk. That's not very convenient after we have already assembled it. Not happy at all :(Edit:The seller got in touch with us and has offered a generous compensation as well as sending a new extension lead with sockets. Thank you.
5.0 out of 5 stars Corner desk.
My son loves his desk quite good value 👌 not to hard to build
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality for the price
Was very pleased that all the pre- drilled fixing holes and threads all lined up so did not need any modifications. Once put together the desk felt very sturdy so don't have any complaints and also very good packaging and polystyrene protection.
4.0 out of 5 stars A solid desk that looks great, though the build quality of some parts could be better.
(Please ignore the mess of wiring in the photos. Cable management isn't my strong point.)Love how this desk looks now that it's set up. It's a little shallower than my old desk, so I'll need to get a monitor arm to free up the space under the monitors (the right one is sitting on the corner of my mouse pad right now), but overall still has a lot more space than my old desk. The only downside is that the black tabletop is a fingerprint magnet. The support beam under the front is *just* far enough back to securely fit my Logitech G902 steering wheel and shifter, though I had to move the clamp extenders to make it fit properly. The 2-gang power strip is handy for things like phone chargers or small USB-powered devices. Despite what the Q&A says, the UK version *is* fused. One answer from the seller states it can handle 15A, but the installed fuse is only 5A, so take that with a pinch of salt. The strip is rated for 1500W total through the sockets, but I probably wouldn't trust putting that much through it (though the 5A fuse would blow first if you tried to since 240V * 5A = 1200W).The build quality of some of the parts was a little bit off, hence only 4 stars. Both of the parts labelled "P" were too short, making it rather hard to get the screws in, and resulted in those 2 parts being slightly stretched once screwed in, with there being a visible gap around the screws. There were a couple other parts that were either slightly bent or had small manufacturing defects, making putting the screws in difficult. Getting the wooden tabletops screwed in was especially difficult, partly due to the normal small amount of misalignment from me building it, but also partly due to a couple of the bent parts making things awkward. The instructions recommend that this is a 2-person build, but I was able to build it on my own even despite the faulty parts. Once fully assembled, it feels fairly sturdy, and I can't see any issues with the finished product caused by the faulty parts.I actually had to order this twice because Bolo lost the package the first time, before they had handed it to DPD for delivery. (The delivery courier was DPD, so your mileage may vary with delivery shenanigans.) I don't know how you can lose a desk but these things happen. I was fully refunded and ended up buying the desk for cheaper the second time round anyway, so I can't complain :)
Pretty Good Desk
I just assembled the desk yesterday so I'm not sure how it will hold up after long term use. But first impression is great! Now that I've finished assembling it, it feels pretty sturdy! I gave it a good shake(I always stress test my purchases before I decide on keeping them. If it hadn't stood up to the test, then it wouldn't be worth it long term) and it didn't budge! I put my weight on it on different parts of the table and it held up - it definitely wouldn't hold up to someone standing on it, but any normal amounts of leaning plus some will be totally fine, even with objects like a computer and monitors on it.It was easy enough to assemble, if fiddly. I've put together some terribly difficult furniture and let me tell you, this is a cakewalk in comparison. The instructions are easy to read and the pieces are clearly labelled. I did it by myself, but I think you need to ask for help if you have bad hands or have trouble lifting things. All of the cons are things I knew about when I bought it - the depth of the desk is too narrow for my liking, and the PC shelf is oddly positioned for most PC setups; PCs made with glass sides, which are increasingly common, usually have the glass on the right. This desk forces the computer's left side to be showing. Again, I knew about this when I bought it. Some reviewers mentioned the desk was too tall, but I think that's a matter of personal opinion. Look at the measurements in the description and use a measuring tape to see for yourself - the dimensions listed are correct.Do note that there is a 1 inch lip under the tabletop where it meats a support bar. I have a 2-monitor stand that clamps on to desks and I was worried it wouldn't be able to attach properly, but it works just fine braced against the support bar. It doesn't shake or slide at all. So for me it didn't matter. It's definitely great for the price! I recommended the desk to my friend who is also looking for a desk. If you're looking for a sturdy L-shaped desk for a reasonable price, this is the one for you!
This was ridiculous to put together, but excellent customer service
Update: I wanted to take a minute to say that the company immediately reached out to me following the publication of my initial review (see below), and did everything that they were able to do to make it right. I am beyond impressed with the level of dedication to customer satisfaction and service. I do want to add that the desk itself is very sturdy and we are content with it. We had no intentions of returning it given that we really, really didn't want to have to disassemble it again, but also because it fit our space quite well. I do think that this is a good corner desk and for the money, is a good buy, even with the frustrating assembly process. The company was very apologetic for the warping I saw in the assembly process in addition to the bolt hole issues. Given that this desk has many, many 5 star reviews, I am confident that this is not the case for most people. I have also included a photo in the review to show the space it is in. We really love where the PC tower is housed.Initial 3/5* review: This took over 3 hours to put together and that was because the wood on the desktop was warped and the holes were drilled incorrectly. That's not even to mention that half the holes were drilled in the wrong direction, so righty-tighty lefty-loosey did NOT apply to half of the bolts. The instructions consisted of mostly pictures and very few words which led my wife and I to misassemble several pieces and have to redo it. In fact, the crossbar (which adds no stability by the way) ended up not being attached because one of configuration we went with (right as opposed to left) doesn't have holes properly drilled in the metal legs on one side. Additionally, the directions include two configurations with different instructions, but at least one of the images isn't conducive to the correct setup with which it is printed. Overall this was a nightmare to assemble. On the bright side, my wife and I have strengthened our marriage thanks to the frustration of this build.
Amazing desk - subpar power strip
The table itself is amazing. High quality and very easy to assemble. The power strips with this unit are subpar and cannot charge any of my devices.
Sturdy and great looking L-desk
I bought this on a flash sale on black Friday for a great price (139.00). I have to say it's worth it at that price point. The assembly wasn't hard, but it did take a few hours and I think either I swapped some screws or they gave me more of the long screws and not enough of the top screws. Either way, there was plenty of screws so unless something really terrible happens the table tops will not be leaving the desk of their own accord. There are instructions for having the long side on either the left or the right, and the whole thing is sturdy. The desk looks good. I'd say the only gripes are that the computer sits where my foot rest used to be so i keep almost kicking the computer during longer gaming sessions, and there's only 3 plugs on the little power strip that sits on top. I can't tell if it's a surge protector either. Since your computer sits underneath, you may have some issues reaching the power button (especially for me since my computer case has RGB and a window so i had to put it in with the power button in the rear corner of the desk). It may sound like I'm not enjoying the product, but i moved up from folding utility table desk to this one so I'm still pretty satisfied, besides if I had installed it with the left side longer orientation i wouldn't have the power button shoved into the corner.
