Lovely colour. Nice quality. Easy to use
4.0 out of 5 stars These are thin but very easy to lay and look good
I used these on top of my existing tiles in my bathroom. I’d tried painting the tile but wasn’t happy with the results so saw this as a reasonably priced quick fix. I’m really pleased with how they look. I did flatten the strips overnight as suggested by others in the reviews. I found them a wee bit fiddly at times around the radiator pipes and the toilet but when laying them you’ll be thankful that they’re not ‘overly’ sticky because I had to lift and adjust a few times. I did use a hairdryer again as suggested by others and although they were easy to adjust and move after 2 weeks of being down I’ve not had any issues with them coming unstuck. The only slight down side for me is that in certain light (when approaching the bathroom) I can see the under tiles outline, however, when in the bathroom, which is small, you don’t see it. I’ve had compliments on how good it looks and for the money I paid I’m really happy with it. Easy to wipe clean and overall really nice. I only dropped a star because I think 5 stars should be given if items are perfect and although these are really good I think how thin they are stops them from being perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good -- some thoughts....
Pros: these provide a simple yet effective solution for changing the look of any space. Despite needing some time to flatten out initially, they were easy to install. The adhesive is strong, and they have a realistic wood grain texture.Cons: They're quite thin, which may not be suitable for high-traffic areas. Though they were initially priced at around £10gbp which was good value, the current price of £16.99 seems a bit steep compared to other brands.Overall: good quality - but needed to lie them flat with items on both sides for several days to flatten them out. So don't buy them expecting to use them straight away & best for lower-traffic areas. Keep an eye on the pricing changes - buy several when a bit cheaper would be my suggestion.Four stars (****) is my rating. I hope this has been helpful! What my star ratings mean to me5***** good product, mainly pros4**** good product, maybe some cons, but pros definitely outweigh the cons3*** acceptable, several (or one notable) cons but pros balance the cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros1* very poor quality, mostly cons OR totally misleading advertising"
4.0 out of 5 stars Come rolled up.
I didn't realise these tiles were the type that come rolled up - I understand this is easier for shipping, but it's a pain to have to straighten the tiles out before installation.I wanted these for a small household project, a cupboard floor needed re-covering, and yes, they have done the job nicely. They are quite thin, so easy enough to cut, and adhesion seems fine, they're not overly strong, so that they stick like superglue, you have time to move and position them a few times, and the adhesion can be reactivated with a hairdryer if needs be - although with them being laid in a cupboard they will not get much footfall on them, so I'm expecting them to stay put for a good few years.
2.0 out of 5 stars Came rolled up!!!
Was surprised to find a small box had arrived wondering what it was!!I opened it to find the planks of self adhesive vinyl tiles rolled up!!Very hard to use as they roll up when trying to apply.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for small areas, and for making flat-lay photography sets
Vinyl floor plank 90cm x 15cm - dark greyThis arrived in a plastic wrapped roll, so needed rolling in the opposite direction to get them to lay flat once you open the pack. In the pack there are 8 planks, each measuring 90cm x 15cm. On the back of each strip is a grid to help you cut them consistently and lay them. It's good not to make all the joins in the same place across a floor when laying them. The planks cut easily with strong scissors, no need for a craft knife and ruler or special cutting tool. These dark grey planks were chosen to make a simple neutral flat lay photo setup. I just peeled the backing and stuck them on a large foam core board. Take your time to line them up and a bit of a dry run to ensure the design works is best before puling the backing paper away and sticking them down. These were £16.99 at the time of this review which is fine for me, but works out quite expensive if you need many packs to do a kitchen or bathroom where you may need at least 4 packs.
3.0 out of 5 stars Issue with the colour?
I ordered a set of the 'White Oak' vinyl strips. I have used similar before albeit with darker colours so knew roughly what to expect - or at least I thought I did. They look far more 'Standard' White than the Oaky white showed in the photos with thin lines of grey through it.They would not be practical for what we intended which was to put down in our small porch as they are thin and will scuff easily. When I ordered they were at the £9.99 price point, however they're now at £16.99 which I think is on the expensive side compared to other brands and the amount of coverage.
4.0 out of 5 stars On a roll
I was a bit irritated that these arrived on a roll so couldn't be fitted immediately as I had to unroll and flatten them for 24 hours before I was confident that they would lie flat.Apart from that, all good - nice design, easy to cut, good adhesive. Overall, looks very nice.
