I do enjoy listening to the radio there is no doubt and I appreciate a good quality sound. I was looking for a small radio with DAB+ and FM and while trawling through manufacturers advertising I found the Roberts Petite 2. Having read glowing reports I decided to give it a go.It arrived on the day I ordered it which is excellent. I eagerly unpacked the radio and had a quick look at the instructions which I found clear and easy to understand. The radio itself is cute, small but perfectly formed and is available in a choice of several colours.It was a doddle to set up including setting radio presets! The quality of sound which comes from this radio is good, no, it's really, really good for something so small. It has a sound which made me think wow, how does something so dinky produce such a big, rich sound like that? I also found it very sensitive and received lots of stations both on DAB and FM.I particularly wanted DAB+ as so many of the new stations only transmit in DAB+. The rechargeable battery was perfect for my needs to...ideal for carrying from room to room and not having to worry about plugging it into the mains. I can also connect a pair of hi-fi stereo headphones to the output socket and the sound is like listening to a full blown hi-fi system!It also features Bluetooth so I was able to send music from my phone to it as well. If I had to nit pick about anything I would say the info screen could have been a little bit bigger. Having said that it certainly isn't a deal breaker for me and with my specs on I can read the text fine.This radio blows me away, it has made me listen to more and more radio stations than I have done in a long time. Perhaps it's the nostalgia trip thing taking me back to listening to the radio under the bed sheets back in the 1960s! You may have guessed by now how much I like it... that's an understatement! Highly recommended!

A truly wonderful little radio. The new model has an extending aerial and is a type C charger. Picked this up to compliment my big 'main' Roberts radio and couldn't be happier. Excellent rechargeable battery, and the sound quality is better and louder than you'd expect from such a little unit. Great FM + DAB+ signal, and can connect to bluetooth for streaming whatever from your phone etc. Easy to bring in a bag for any adventures, and you can save 10 presets for both modes so easy to jump back to favourites.Built in sleep timer so easy to fall asleep to, do note the screen doesn't flicker in real life, this is just a camera effect like you used to get with CRT screens. Love using this to listen to music or news throughout the day, and it's insanely cute with excellent build quality and overall software. Plus if it's plugged in it'll show a cute clock on standby! Can also be used an alarm - either with beeping or by automatically turning on whatever station you would like at a set time.

Nice looking and sounding radio which fits a niche where rechargeable long battering life is needed.Sound quality is great and also suitable to take on holiday due to compact size. If you need reading glasses then be prepared to use them as the text size on the display is literally tiny and smaller than on my Apple Watch!… Bigger display with bigger text would be a very important addition to a premium product like this likely targeted at slightly older people

The size of this radio makes it perfect for taking around with you on trips. Sound quality is excellent and it looks very smart. The one disappoinment is that you cannot listen to it over headphones via bluetooth (unless I am doing something wrong). Still worth every peeny in my opinion.

Has a reassuring weight to it and a quality feel. Picks up signals well and gives out a really great sound. Having a battery is nice as sometimes I want to move it and I can just unplug and go. Best thing I bought on Bolo for some time. Certainly 5 star.

Bought this to replace a fragile Sony radio. The reviews warned it was easy to break...I should have listened.This litte Roberts has had some fantastic reviews and I can only confirm the hype.It arrives really well packed and protected. I was surprised at how small it is. How neat and clean and tactile it it.Everything feels solid and it's a breeze to use. Reception excellent and the sound quality deeply impressive. I am a HiFi enthusiast so could easily call it out but it has a really pleasing tone which is balanced and not in any way stringent at the top end. It also goes to a good volume level.I don't care for the gold trim and would love to have this in black and silver, however its a classic look that will appeal to many. It also has something about it that makes you want to buy another one.This radio is perfect for the home, especially a kitchen in an apartment. I tend to use it for news and sport, it renders the spoken word superbly.In this section of the market, a modern small DAB radio, Roberts has pretty much nailled it. Thank you.
