This cute little puzzle box is both nicely made but also super simple in constuction that it is quite simply beautiful.The puzzle box comes nicely packaged inside the perfect gift box. This puzzle box is tightly packed into this outer box as there are a number of shapes inside for the children to play with. The box itself is made of smooth 8mm plywood. This wood has been been well finished using paints. On the parts that are exposed, they are really smooth and no worries of splinters. As this box is 8mm thick, it will be able to take a fair amount of abuse. The construction of this is strong and just squishing it together, the wood didn't move at all. This would easily be able to take being dropped off a high chair or thrown about with no issues.The block shapes come individually packaged but are made of well rounded shapes. There is duplicates of each shape which is perfect for teaching repetition and the monkey see, monkey do mentalilty. These shapes are coated well with no strange smells. Just well finished wood blocks.Overall, the design of this toy is quite a simple one but it has been excuted with a level of quality that is great to see. I can highly recommend this to anyone with a child of 1 years + or as a gift to new parents. This is simple yet elegant and is a timeless piece. 5/5!

What really stood out to me is how lightweight this is, and the overall build quality. Looks like the toys you’d find in a Scandinavian home that fits the home decor.I feel the colours could be better though. They look a bit dull, and I would’ve loved them to be brighter in order to grab the toddlers’ attention more.Overall, no major issues with it and would consider buying again.

The wooden tool set from Flexa arrived in a nicely branded cardboard presentation box which would be ideal for gifting the toy in. The set contains x1 wooden sorting box with a liftable lid and x8 wooden blocks (made up from x4 different coloured shapes – hexagon, circle, square and triangle). The box has a footprint of 15cm x 15cm with a height of 11cm and overall, the set is perfectly sized for smaller hands and feels very well made.All the components (apart from the wooden sorting box) are carefully wrapped in white tissue paper and secured with a piece of tape. I thought that the presentation was good and it didn’t arrive with any scuffs to the painted surfaces. The toy is suitable for a child over the age of 12 months so would make a lovely 1st birthday gift.The wooden sorting puzzle box is ideal for encouraging the development of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, as well as problem solving in the form of slotting the correct shapes into the sorting box. The game also helps with shape recognition too.The wooden components are made from birch wood and birch plywood (using FSC certified wood) and all the parts are very tactile without any sharp edges that could be harmful. They are painted a nice gender-neutral colour scheme and when not in use looks aesthetically pleasing on the nursery shelf – I would say that the set is suitable for both girls and boys to explore and learn.Priced at £28.95 at the time of reviewing, this is a lovely wooden sorting puzzle toy which feels durable as well as being a lovely aesthetic object. The toy is very well made and finished. I also like that it offers an educational element and it is a great way for your child to learn and you can engage with them by helping. It is a premium feeling object, and although it is a bit pricey, I would still recommend it – I also feel it would make a lovely birthday gift and would be appreciated by the parents.

The toy is well-made from solid wood, and the colours are bright, which immediately grabbed my child’s attention. My daughter loves fitting the shapes into the corresponding holes. It's a great way for her to develop her fine motor skills and concentration. It’s a good toy for occasional play, but I expected it to hold my child's attention for longer.

This toy is made from solid wood, and exudes quality. My three-year-old son enjoys sorting the colourful shapes, and even my nine-year-old daughter sometimes finds herself fiddling with it. The simplistic design is appealing, though the colours could be a touch brighter to better capture young eyes. Safety is a priority in our household, and the toy does not disappoint with its smooth, rounded edges that are gentle on little fingers. However, the lid tends to come off easily - I’m cautious about it possibly causing some mishaps. As someone who works in finance, I scrutinise value for money, while slightly steep in price, its durability suggests it will last through both my children and maybe even a grandchild or two. The wooden shapes fit well into their respective slots and help in developing fine motor skills, making it a delightful yet educational part of our playroom.

The media could not be loaded. A lovely well packaged wooden shape sorter for ages 1+ with each shape individually wrapped in tissue paper. The shape sorter is well made with no sharp edges. Each piece is beautifully painted. There is two of each shape, triangular prism, cuboid, hexagonal prism and cylinder but as you can see neither of the cuboids will fit into the square slot which is such a shame as it’s a lovely toy and would make a great gift for birthday, Christmas or christening but this slight defect let’s it down. Other than that it’s perfect.
Stilvolles und hochwertiges Holzspielzeug
Im Rahmen des Bolo-Vine-Programms hatte ich Gelegenheit, das Holzspielzeug der Marke FLEXA zu testen. Ich bemühe mich stets, eine objektive Rezension zu verfassen und meine ehrliche Meinung zu dem Produkt abzugeben in der Hoffnung, für Kunden eine Hilfestellung zu sein. Ich freue mich, wenn ich Ihnen weiterhelfen konnte.Ausgesprochen stilvoll und fast edel verpackt kam das Spielzeug unbeschadet bei uns an. Die Präsentation ist wirklich sehr gelungen und daher eignet sich dieser Würfel hervorragend als Geschenk zur Geburt oder ähnlichem - wirklich sehr schön und liebevoll verpackt in einer stabilen Box mit Schuber.Auch die Verarbeitung des Spielzeugs selbst ist sehr gut. Der Würfel ist präzise und sauber zusammengesetzt, weist keine spitzen Ecken auf und sieht in seiner Schlichtheit einfach nur schön aus. Auch die Einzelnen Holzklötzchen, die durch die unterschiedlich geformten Löcher passen sind sauber verarbeitet und ebenso bemalt.Unsere Kleine ist jetzt 8 Monate alt und entdeckt gerade ihre Feinmotorik. Zwar klappt es noch nicht so ganz mit den Formen, um diese in die richtigen Löcher zu stecken, doch sehen wir das ja auch nicht als Wettrennen. Sie erforscht noch alles und findet die Klötzchen ausgesprochen interessant, spielt mit ihnen und nimmt sie natürlich in den Mund. Das Ganze riecht übrigens sehr angenehm und lässt auf die Verwendung ungiftiger Materialien schließen.Ist man mit dem Spielen fertig kann man die Klötzchen einfach in den Würfel packen und hat alles kompakt an einer Stelle.Fazit: Von diesem wirklich sehr schön und wertig verarbeiteten Holzspielzeug sind wir schon allein wegen der minimalistischen, aber dennoch liebevollen Präsentation und Aufmachung begeistert. Keine grellen Farben oder schräge Motive, sondern einfach nur ein optisch ruhiges Erlebnis für die Kleinen. Großartiges Geschenk für Freunde, Verwandte oder seine eigenen Kinder. Preislich in Ordnung, daher gerne die volle Punktzahl.
Sehr hochwertiges Holz-Sortierspielzeug mit etwas lockerem Deckel
Das FLEXA Baby Sortierbox aus Holz wird ab 1 Jahr empfohlen. Sie wird wunderschön verpackt in einem schönen Karton geliefert, der sich auch sehr zum Verschenken eignet. Die Box ist ordentlich gefertigt und wirkt hochwertig, die Farben wirken edel. Das Spielzeug ist gemäss Angaben auf der Bolo Produktseite aus massivem Buchen- und Birkenholz gefertigt, welches FSC zertifiziert ist. Die Holzklötzchen sind massiv und passen wirklich nur durch den jeweiligen Slot. Einziges Manko: der Deckel sitzt wirklich SEHR locker auf der Box und fällt sofort raus, wenn die Box bewegt wird. Er ist lockerer als bei vergleichbaren Boxen. Daher ein Stern Abzug, die Qualität ist aber wirklich sehr gut.
