With a forthcoming move to a house with a big garden but poor soil, this book seemed the obvious choice to help me understand what to do with the space. It didn't disappoint. My wife and I are spending hours a day now planning what plants to buy and how we will arrange them. I can't wait to get started.

I have been trying to establish whether I should have raised beds or not. They look great but what other reason would I go to the trouble. Well I found some great reasons in the first chapter and now I definitely want to do it. Thank you. A few spelling issues but a really easy to understand, well laid out book. Very useful and provided me with everything I needed to make the decisions I needed to make.
A great book to continue my love of gardening
I tried to do a garden last year but it didn't work out to well. I had thought of making a raised garden in the past but didn't really know how or if it was a good idea. I started reading this book and it really inspired me to do it next year.

This is a really great guide which covers pretty much everything including how to garden depending on the climate region you live in. Everything from the very basics up. Making your beds, soil types, how to care for them and so much more. A wealth of information. This is a great resource. I loved this book.
