    Of the four types of humane traps I've purchased, this is the most effective. The mechanism is simple: two arms rise up from the angled plate used to trigger the trap. Latches at the top of the arms hold open the trapdoor. When the mouse steps on the plate the arms retract and the door snaps shut. Another type of trap has failed me because the angle of the plate is too small but these are good. Now, I've had some misses where the mouse steals the bait without triggering the trap, but only once or twice. (And one week's tally was 18 mice and I've been at this for months). You can do a couple of things to increase effectiveness: place a coin, such as a 2p piece, on the plate to increase sensitivity, or insert fingers at both ends of the trap and shift the plate so that one or both of the latches are only just holding back the door. Also, use a bait that the mouse has to eat in place or gather together: my preferred bait now is a small piece of walnut grated on a microplane grater and spooned into the bait tray. Though not such a problem with this particular trap, I've known mice to roll peanut butter into a ball and stroll out of the trap with it, or bolt with half a walnut.The trap is fairly easy to clean as long as you're not super squeamish, though a mouse will crap and piddle abundantly if left for a few hours. I soak the trap in warm water with a little bit of detergent and use a bristle brush. It's not strictly necessary to clean the trap after each capture but eventually the grot will gunge up the mechanism and the honk will put you right off. Note that the entire trap is aerated with holes so put the trap on something to spare your flooring.The three other types of trap I purchased have all disappointed me but these are good, though I fear I'll never win.Reviews for some other traps mention problems with mice getting tails trapped because the size is too small but these are fine for your average mouse.

    After purchasing some alternative humane traps I thought I would have to switch to more severe methods, however these traps have worked time and again.Quality is perfect, the trap is very humane for the mice.Would 100 recommend.

    Bought this mouse trap as my cat brought a mouse into the house. It was alive and unharmed but we couldn’t catch it as it was too fast, then it hid in a hole in the wall. I bought this mouse trap because I wanted to trap it without hurting it and set it free. Very easy to use, you get 2 in the box so excellent value for money! We put peanut butter in the trap and placed it near to wear we think the mouse was hiding. I checked the next day but there was no sign of the mouse. I did the same the next day but still no mouse inside. I checked again the next morning and the mouse was inside! Completely unharmed. I picked up the trap, took it outside and set it free 😃 would definitely recommend

    Great if you want to feed the mice in your house, left it down with nuts, and came back home and the nuts were gone! Absolutely useless

    After hoping our little mouse family would just move we had to take actions into our own hands and bought two of these traps. We tried with just bread and cheese and no luck so I put a bit of chocolate in the trap and bam! Two caught in the one night and luckily it was only two and no more. Hubby relocated them to a nice field for their new home. I was a little too scared to see them in the trap but we knew when it went off

    We have mice in our garden for 2 years. They are cute and didn’t bother us, UNTIL this year when they started to eat the wife’s costly sweet peas and string netting they were growing up. That was then they had to go. My wife originally was going to borrow killer mice traps, but I looked around and found these humane traps. As they had a good review we decided to purchase 2 of them and they arrived next day. Up to now we gave captured and released 11 mice in a new location far away. The best way to utilise them is to put peanut butter in the feed trays. After setting the traps, cover them with a cardboard box with a 1 inch hole cut into the cardboard to stop small birds entering the traps ( this also creates a small tunnel which the mice seem to like). We didn’t leave the traps out all night, just in the day so we could check on them regularly and release the mice quickly, so as to cause them little stress. Here’s hoping that there are not many more mice about, so I can get on with my life!!

    Bought this for garage that stores hedgehog food and bird food. This has obviously created an issue with mice as some bags have been nibbled at. Need to put food in plastic containers, but in meantime bought these humane traps. They are brilliant, better than the old black ones that you couldn't see through. I've caught and released at least 6 mice in two weeks. The recent mice have managed to get to the nuts without tripping the trap. They've ate the bait and done one. Either Ninja mice or too light to trip the trap. I've placed a few coins on the edge of the trap tonight and bingo another mouse caught . Released further away from house tonight. The battle goes on ! But highly recommended traps 👌

    Per la seconda volta trovo la trappola vuota, con la porticina chiusa e il cibo sparito. Quindi il topo entra, mangia, e in qualche modo esce. Come faccia non lo so perché succede di notte, fatto sta che le trappole semplicemente non fanno il loro dovere.
