5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, help significantly if noise is a big distraction for you
I’m not entirely convinced how much the switch element works on these however these loop earbuds are really useful to help with dumping down background noise and helping you to focus or to listen to one person or to hold a conversation with one person. I got these because it was a great price and bought some for my daughter as well. Recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good looking product and effective
Having bought these to protect my hearing during concerts, it reduces the noise levels apparently by 20+ decibels. It does seem to help me and I can tell when they are in and not. I bought the changeable ones to give me the flexibly to change the protection just in case some concerts are quieter than others. Realistically I probably won’t change the level lower than the top level (as the concerts I attend are always loud). I would recommend them, but would suggest that these are expensive for what they are. I probably would have bought the sleep loops instead, as they have a similar high decibel protection and 1/3 of the cost of these. That said, if I am in variable noise level environments, buying a dedicated loop defender would mean I have to own multiple and swap them out. Being lazy, the extra cost saves me buying many variety loops. Would recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars Got these for misophonia
I got these a couple months back so I’ve only had the chance to try the lowest setting, but it works well enough. Obviously it can’t filter out all triggering sounds, but if you’re sitting next to someone who breathes loudly, sniffs, hums, etc. they are a lifesaver. You can still hear people talking for the most part, you may need to concentrate. They don’t cut out things like moderate background noises, though (like music in a store or bass from another room). It’s refreshing to have conversations without having to hear the majority of unpleasant sounds, which is the main thing.I wore them out to a meal, and they did block out the sound of everyone else eating, which was amazing, but they amplified the sounds of my own chewing and swallowing so much. I never normally notice it, but it did make me feel self conscious since I couldn’t hear how loud I was actually being. And obviously, if your own mouth sounds are a trigger for you, these are definitely best avoided. Just buy earphones that can play music or white noise instead.I’m not very comfortable having earplugs in my ears in general, but these ones are decently comfy. You have to have them both in at the same time, or the effect is void.Overall, I am glad I have them, but they’re expensive for what they are, and definitely not suitable for everyone, depending on your misophonia triggers. I haven’t had the chance to try the louder settings yet, but there definitely is a difference.
5.0 out of 5 stars Filled crowd noise to focus on voices and music
I loved my loop switch - I regularly become overwhelmed by noise so when a colleague told me about loops o needed to try them. I opted initially for loop switch as I was going to a music festival with my son and knew that loud music, combined with crowd noises would really impact my stress and overwhelm levels. In the first day I used these on the train to the festival, where they reduced the noise of crowds but allowed me to hear my son who is fairly quietly spoken and whom I struggle to hear when there is a lot of other noise. At the festival they enabled me to focus on the music and my son’s voice without a lot of crowd noises. I was even able to sleep in them to reduce the noise of a busy city we were staying in (I’m a country girl). The negatives of these for me were they made my ears itch a little and I struggled to judge the sound of my own voice so needed to remove them when ordering food and drink x x heading to another concert next week so will be giving them another try 😊 x
1.0 out of 5 stars Well overpriced and do not work
I bought these as I suffer badly from sensory issues and I work in a job where I’m out in social settings a lot and I was finding it difficult to cope. After much deliberation I decided to get the loops- I wish I hadn’t bothered!!! Uncomfortable, blocks all sound so couldn’t hear anything. I tried all each plug sizes but no use! I settled on a good pair of ear defenders instead.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good...but ironically, not for loud settings
I bought these after I lost my last set of "decent" ear plugs. Having seen loads of ads and good reviews for these I thought I'd give these a try.Firstly, they are very comfortable and they include a nice little case. The switch is good and you do really notice the difference in noise levels when switching between the different settings. The only thing is...they don't really work in loud settings at all. I do a lot of my own drum practices, band practices, and gigs, and every time I finish a practice session or leave a gig I find the my ears are still ringing, which I never had with my last set of ear plugs or others before. This is even on the "full" setting on these ear plugs. It's a shame that they don't really work that well in these loud settings because that's what one would assume these would be good for. But I'll definitely be switching to a different product since I don't fancy going deaf by the time I'm 40!
5.0 out of 5 stars Three sets of ear plugs in one
As someone who is autistic and sensitive to noise, I have found these to have been one of my best purchases. I've worn them to a family member's graduation ceremony, to a concert, to office visits (I generally work from home). With misophonia, they've also been a literal life saver when dining with noisy eaters. With the dial switch, it's easy to change the amount of noise they reduce. The setting for being at gig isn't the same one that you'd use in the office where you still need to speak with colleagues. They feel of good quality and won't easily break, and they're a comfortable fit in my ear. (They come with a couple of other sides of the rubber bit that goes in your ear, since we don't all have the same size ears). They also come in a little clam shell case to keep the pair together when not in use. The case has a little loop so you can add to a key ring, caribiner or whatever, too.
Nao gostei, e achei caro.
Los mejores tapones para cualquier situación. Los Amo.
The media could not be loaded.
Simply the best Loops yet
I'll preface this by saying that as a neurodivergent, I suffer from sensory overload, and overstimulation VERY easily. I already owned a pair of Loops Quiet, for being out in heavily crowded areas, or being able to sleep when others are making noise. They worked great, but I found they weren't the best for all situations, and the thought of having 3 pairs of earplugs (basically one of each kind Loops offers) kind of overwhelmed me on it's own. This went on sale for Prime Day, and I decided to take advantage and try them.So first off, the case they come in is very different from the one my Quiets come in. They come in a small, barely big enough for the silicon earbuds kind of case, while the Switch comes in a larger case that has set places for the earbuds to sit perfectly. I like this over the Quiets because those are always kind of.. squished.. and they seem to get dirty easier. The Switch version just kind of sit perfectly in the case, and while it's larger than the other ones, it still attaches to my keychain without being bulky. Now, the earplugs themselves. They took a bit to get used to, since they are a hard earplug, and I was used to the all silicon ones. After a bit of wearing them however, I barely noticed they were there. Especially once I realized the Large tips fit my ears better than the Mediums that were attached by default. Once I switched those, they fit perfectly in the ear, and with a slight turning motion, the loop portion sits nicely in that back crook of my ear. Activating the switch for them is actually easier than I expected, and it moves between the settings smoothly. Some people in other reviews said that the little icons were hard to figure out what they did. Huh? It's an empty circle, half full circle and a full circle. It wasn't hard to figure out. Even easier when you realize that if you have them in the right ears (yes, they ARE labelled L and R on the plugs, pay attention to that), moving the switch all the way forward is the LEAST noise reducing (you know, forward.. like you wanted to hear what was infront of you...), and if you move the switch back, it's the MOST noise reducing (like you want to step back from the noise). Pretty easy to figure out, and since each ear is independently adjustable, if someone starts talking to me, I don't need to switch both, just one, until I know if it's a full conversation or just a comment.I bought the blue version, so I can't speak for the others, but colour-wise, the blue is simply amazing. It's a weird kind of dark baby blue? And the tips are a lighter shade. They look pretty snazzy (do the kids still say that these days?).TLDR; They look great, they feel great, they work great, and I think even a monkey could figure them out given 5 minutes and a banana for encouragement. I'm happy.
LIFE-CHANGING PRODUCT!!
I love this product so much that I own two versions: the Engage Loops & the Switch Loops.I love both and enjoy them both for what they were designed for. I use these literally 24/7.I bought both versions because the Switch Loops are too big to fit comfortably under my headset at work. The Engage Loops are small enough to fit comfortably! I do not fault the Switch Loops for being bigger than the Engage Loops because they have three settings in one, and thus require more technology. The Engage Loops are perfect for work. I am Autistic & work as a call center representative. I am able to wear the Engage Loops and block out just enough sound to remain comfortable… while engaging with my environment and taking calls as normal. I can hear everything that is said to me, but the background noises are no longer annoying and bothersome.I am very frustrated by the negative reviews on this product that cite that this product does not completely block out sound. YES, EXACTLY! THAT IS THE POINT OF THE PRODUCT!If you want total noise blockage, Loops are not for you! This is specifically made for people with misophonia, sensory processing disorder, or for specific venues… like concerts… where you still want to enjoy the music… but more comfortably! These are not full noise-cancelling. They are way more technologically advanced lol! Also, make sure you are selecting the right earbud size. They send you several sizes to try out; make sure you go through them and pick out the one that fits your ear best. If you are using the wrong size, the Loops won’t work as well.Furthermore, make sure you are adjusting the earbuds to fit comfortably in your ears. If they are too loose, they also won’t work as well. They are just like your AirPods— they need to be secure for you to enjoy the benefits.I can absolutely tell the difference between the 3 Loop settings. If you are sound-sensitive, you will too. It is life-changing to be able to switch between the settings. When my child starts screaming, I switch to the Quiet Mode, and I am able to remain calm and not become overstimulated! When she calms down, I am back in Engage Mode. So easy to switch between settings.I highly recommend that you purchase a cheap earbud carrying case from the dollar store or from Bolo for a few dollars. Attach a carabiner and lanyard to maximize convenience and visibility. Now you won’t lose them!I wear my lanyard 24/7. And I am getting a second carrying case to add to it for my new second pair of Loops! This is a very specific product for a very specific audience. And I am forever grateful to the inventors because this product changed my life.I used to be completely debilitated by my environment. Regular full noise-cancelling headphones were way too uncomfortable, did not stay put, and did not filter sound correctly. It was so hard to hear what people were saying. But Loops solved all of these problems!I would give this product a million stars if I could. And if they ever go out of business, I don’t know what I will do. I need backup availability! No company compares. This brand is way ahead of their time.As we gain awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder globally, this brand will become more and more important. If you love someone with special sensory needs, get them this product… AND GET THE CASE AND LANYARD 🙏… and you will change their entire life.LOOPS, I LOVE YOU!!!!
Comfortable
I have hypersensitivity disorder and these earplugs help me from staying overstimulated by everything.
