Having previously had a different style of hitmars safety trainers I thought I'd give these a go, I wish I hadn't, they feel lightweight and they are very thin all round, the badges fell off and laces fell apart within a week. The shoes are very hard with very little comfort for long working days, I've gradually noticed I've been coming home with aching feet and sore areas from pressure points. Maybe they would be better with some padded in-soles but I've replaced these with a more comfortable safety trainer.I wouldn't buy these again.

The finish and construciton of this footwear is good. The materials are comfortable and do a good job. The safety features are performing well. The toe cap is robust and well constructed. The puncture protection I will have to take on good faith as I am not in the businnes of stamping on upturned machetes or stopping bullets with my feet.The shoes do all the above well and that is commendable. The issue I have coudl be personal to me and that is to do with the fit. I find the sizing to be a little bit erring on the side of generous. In use I notice heel slip, Now this could be forgiveable if these were just a pair of cheap casual shoes but for being advertised as safety shoes. secure fitting I would say is cirtically important. Heel slip leads to lack of confidence in movement and potential instability. So I find it tough to reccommend these as safety shoes.HOWEVER other individuals with different feet shape could find this to not be the case for them. Also sizing down a half size may resolve this issueThe intended use for this being a trainer is clearly not a heavy plant industrial or consrtuction site. So this needs to be taken into consideration.. I would test these out carefully if your intended use is in smooth surface floong as the soles are made of a slightly palasticky hard rubber, this will impact traction and I am concerned that any dampness on the flooring could induce further slipping. But on less smooth surfaces this shouldnt be too much of a concern. Also I understand that the harder material of the sole could be used to give a longer lasting more durable sole. Which is a positive so individuals shoudl test the traciton is sufficient fo rtheir purposes.

And the weakest point was pretty weak. The eyelet, where the lace goes through, snapped off tying them. I haven't had them for very long, and I don't use them for work. I wasn't pulling on them like a gorilla or anything, it's just a very weak point.It's a shame because they were decent otherwise, but completely unusable now

Non retail packaged, came in a see-through bit of wrap.no storage box,a good value lightweight trainers, I did order a size 8.5 looks more like a 10 very big. so it is recomended you get the size less than this. i.e. one size down to ensure their not to big,.they look nice and are comfortable to wear, I did change the laces so that I have a tighter grip and they are quite well now, I have tried dropping a hammer on them and they did protect my toes from around 6ft 4 top of a standard size door. my partner also tapped my shoes when I had them on with a mallet so that also protected.I haven't been miles in them but I have been around the garden in them already and they do the job very well actually.they look nice as well, all black with a small bit of red.,for the price their ideal for their worth... and if you prefer wearing trainers instead of boots then these are for you.I would recomend for the value and budget buster that I am that you get yourself some of these trainers.
