5.0 out of 5 stars Sound investment!
Anker have been a reliable company for years as far as sound devices and power packs. In this little boom box they have built a genuinely lovely, useful piece of kit.It is light weight, portable and has exceptional sound quality. Battery seems to hold for a long time when you have the light show element turned off.It has some nice atmospheric light options, good bass options and the ability to charge a device from it.It charges through a USBc port and does so fairly rapidly.I never tried to submerge it but it apparently has some features.Bluetooth connectivity is very reliable and has great range. We have a sizable house and it maintained connection over multiple floors.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great speaker
Love this speaker very loud and worth the money, good build quality and great Bluetooth connectivity, charges fast and has a great battery and very portable and good size
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound and Impressive lights - not very heavy
The Soundcore Boom 2 delivers on the promise of a high-quality audio experience at an affordable price. Its sound quality is commendable, with clear highs, detailed mids, and surprisingly deep bass for a speaker of its size. The design is sleek and modern, appealing to those who value aesthetics alongside performance. Battery life is another strong point, ensuring music playback for extended periods without needing a recharge. However, one might argue that its build, while solid, doesn't feel as robust as some competitors, notably the Motion X600. The latter, despite its predominantly plastic construction, comes across as more durable and resistant to the rigors of everyday use. This might be a consideration for those prioritizing longevity and ruggedness over other features. Nonetheless, considering its sound quality, battery life, and overall value, the Soundcore Boom 2 is money well spent. It also comes with impressive lights that add to the ambiance, making it a great choice for those looking to enhance their listening experience without breaking the bank.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Sound and Power!
The Soundcore Anker Boom 2 is a beast! The 80W output delivers rich, deep bass with crystal-clear highs. Perfect for indoor and outdoor parties – it’s loud and durable, and the subwoofer brings the music to life.Battery life is solid, and Bluetooth pairing is seamless.Highly recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sound
Great sound from the speaker set up was super easy the build quality is nice as well Bluetooth connectivity worked 1st time no issues and it's not heavy so will be very portable and it's just the right size.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best value speaker - soundcore never disappoints
Amazing sound that you will not beat at this size and this price range. Loud, powerful, and capable of booming bass, but still balanced (on the soundcore signature EQ, with ability to set custom EQ).Good size and weight, still relatively portable, neat integrated handle.Waterproof and floatable to use in the pool / tub.Cool beat synced light shows from the passive radiators in the sides of the speaker, although the lights tend to lag a split second behind the beat.Overall a great value speaker in this size bracket, especially if you can get it on a deal for £85-£90 like I did!
4.0 out of 5 stars Boomtastic!
If you don't have a bluetooth speaker then buy this, It thumps bass is compact and sound quality is pretty awesome. If however you have it's predecessor the Motion Boom then there absolutely no need to upgrade.I now have both and there is very little difference, yes the bass is better but not enough tp upgrade.I use my Motion Boom for work on bathroom refits and it is perfect. It gets covered in brick dust water and allsorts.Because my work speaker is awesome I decided to get a speaker for the garden, the Boom 2.It is awesome and worth the purchase.Pros:Awesome bassy yet crisp sound.Nice gimmicky flashing lights either end great for nigh time BBQ etc.Easy to connect to your phone. Can be linked to other Boom 2'sCons:Battery life not really that great but turn off the lights and it helps a lot. If played real loud expect around 10 hours. If you have the Motion Boom, then don't bother upgrading.Charging seem to be slow even on a fast charger.
5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding speaker
I've long been a big big fan of all things Anker/Soundcore having owned numerous products made by them; cigarette lighter/12V USB phone chargers, headphones, charging bricks, portable power banks and bluetooth speakers to name just a few!Soundcore have cracked it again with this speaker, the replacement for the brilliant Soundcore Motion Boom which I owned previously and loved. The Boom 2 follows on where the Motion Boom left off and for me, it's a huge leap forward. Not least in terms of power but also visually - for me it's a much, much nicer looking speaker. The previous model was a bit bulbous - this newer model is much more angular and attractive looking.Sound-wise I don't feel there's much in it versus the Motion, only that this one seems to pump out more volume. The lights are a nice touch but I suspect I will leave them off most of the time to preserve the battery life.On the topic of battery life, so far so good! The only negative I have this the lack of dust protection. I will be taking my Boom 2 to the beach but will be certain to not place it directly on the sand! Listen up Soundcore, make the Boom 3 dust AND waterproof!I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing speaker... pick it up when there's a big discount and you have yourself a bargain speaker that will not disappoint!
Impressive Speaker
I work as a grill cook, which means I’m in a very noisy environment. So I need a speaker that is very loud. And I can say this speaker gets very loud for its size, but is never harsh on the ears, like some other speakers which leave an almost ringing in your ears after a high note. And it does not distort at max volume which is a plus for me.I used to have a 50w Rave Neo from soundcore, until recently when I sold it to a coworker who was in need of a good speaker. I had it for nearly 5 years. When I had it, I was constantly getting compliments on how impressive that speaker sounded. So I decided to buy another speaker from Anker since it’s quality I can trust.Comparing to the 50w Rave Neo, both with bass boost, and boom 2 out of box sound profile. The boom 2 gets louder than the rave Neo, however gets a little “muddier” at high volumes, while the rave Neo keeps a fuller sound. Probably due to the fact the boom 2 is missing a full range driver, and only has tweeters and a racetrack “subwoofer”. However does not matter in my use case. The battery life seems the same, after 3 hours of use at high volumes with bass on, I only used 40% of the battery on the boom 2, while I also used 40% of the rave Neo. Portability goes to the Boom 2. It is only the length of a ruler, height of 3/4 of a ruler, and is fairly slim. so it fits on any standard sized table easily, it also weighs less than half what the rave Neo weighs. The rave Neo felt like a workout carrying it work, while the boom 2 is easily carried by one finger. I also give appearances to the boom 2. The metal grill on the boom 2 feels very rugged and is much superior to the metal grill on the rave Neo. Both plastics feel the same as well, however it does seem the boom 2 is more vulnerable to scuffs and marks as I already have a scuff on the boom 2 with only 3 hours of use, while I have never gotten a scuff on the rave Neo. The LIGHTSHOW. The boom 2 is amazing to watch as it lights up and moves the radiators to the music. Very nice touch since I never really enjoyed the lights on the rave Neo. The rave Neo was also impressive, but the diffusion on the boom 2 looks very premium. Charging. Both charge with an input of usb type c. However, with the rave Neo, you had to use a usb type A charging block, which was super annoying because I have been trying to get away from usb type a, and micro usb. Type c charging blocks and cords are worlds superior. And the boom 2 can charge from any type c charging block.Sound. The boom 2 is loud. It is not audiophile quality. But if you plan on sticking it in the corner of the room or on the outside of a basketball court, you might not feel or hear every instrument or every vocal chord in a singers throat, but I guarantee you will be satisfied with the volume of music you are receiving from this speaker, which does sound very pleasant at least, which is what this speaker is meant to do. Get loud, so you can listen to music while you are doing other activities. I highly recommend higher end soundcore speakers, can’t go wrong.
best bluetooth speaker period!!!
WOW....its everything I've been looking for in a speaker....bass is phenomenal...volume level even better...easily beats my 400 dollar JBL in every way..used it at work all week so 7 12hr days...80% volume with bass boost on and only used 40% battery...using the app for custom or preset sound settings is sweet as well...even the light up sides arw awesome to and have many options in the app and you can customize the colors to..I cant say good enough just how good the quality, sound and best part price point!!! don't bother with JBL or W-king as this is way way better then either of them..this speaker easy competes with my w-king tall stand up 200w unit but better sound quality!!!
