    This is quite a nice little device. You can set up up to 500 users, although I've only needed to set up seven. I would say this is really intended for very small businesses and therefore much less than the 500 it claims to support. If you're getting up to that number, you're probably going to have some kind of badge entry system and wouldn't be using fingerprints. However, for what it is, it does the job perfectly. It has an internal backup for when it loses power, but the device itself is not battery powered. Even though the listing suggests that it might be. It has a power adapter that you have to plug into a wall socket. It has a reasonable length of cable so you're probably fine wherever you need to set this up. You configure your users through the onboard interface, which while is quite simple, is certainly capable enough to do everything you need. The device itself is made of plastic and doesn't look or feel super robust, but I've not had any issues with it so far. All of the records for people clocking in must be transferred off using a USB stick and are then openable in Excel. This is a perfectly workable solution, but I would much rather have preferred it to have ethernet or Wi-Fi for access remotely within my work network. I do like that it is relatively self-contained and standalone. You don't have to have any kind of subscription service and you don't have to have it connected to the internet. Too many items these days require both even though you can't really see why. All in all, this is decent and effective bit of kit that I would recommend to anyone looking for a low-cost easy to set up time and attendance logging system.

    This should come with a basic software to collate logs. Logs are also missing in reports. A disappointment

    An offline solution was my go-to choice so I don't have to worry about network connectivity due to the nature of the site this is used at. No monthly subscription is a bonus. Setting it up wasn't too difficult, although it is NOT battery powered, and needs a rather long mains power cable.It feels rather cheap, but it works well, having no issues recognising the set up fingerprints or using the PIN.I wanted to contact customer service about the whole battery thing, but the number doesn't work!It's a basic clocking in machine, but you get what you pay for. This being a basic unit isn't too badly priced, but I'd expect a working support number and a slightly nicer build quality for the price.

    This isn't battery operated which it leads you believe. It comes with a plug and a fair length wire so I had no issues on that front. It does come with some back up power situation that I've not yet experienced as I've not lost power yet so cant comment there.Pretty easy to put up and use, had smooth sailing for both the pin type entry alongside the finger print reader being a nice option!Does feel a little cheap on yhr outside but once on the wall there's no discrepancies with quality.

    We've been using this NGTeco clock -in machine for the past couple of weeks and we are extremely satisfied with it. It is well made and comes with a lot of functionality for the price and the best part is that no monthly subscription is needed.The instructions are well detailed and will make the setting up process a lot easier.It works really well both with the fingerprint and with the passkey and for collecting the data you get a USB flash drive included which exports data in excel so it's really easy and convenient to go through, a real time saver.Once you familiarize yourself with it it is very easy to add another person or make adjustments.An absolutely fantastic device at a very good and convenient price, highly recommend!

    the support phone number doesn't connect which isn't a good start. I have some issues before setting this up and haven't been able to reach technical support.edit: the email response waa fast and informed. It is possible to silence the beeps but the display doesn't sleep so it is quite bright and intrusive, will have to find a hidden place to install it rather than in view of guests. Will report back once the machine is operational.

    I have used a similar machine to this made by SAFESCAN. I have always had issues with the Software and found that the fingerprint data is sometimes lost. This machine is super easy to use and comes with a USB drive which allows you to quickly and easily transfer the data from the clocking-in machine to your PC.The interface is pretty straightforward (and basic) and it is easy to add users and register fingerprints, all done on the machine itself. The machine also comes with Lifetime technical support, which is a great addition.The file format opens in EXCEL and so is easy to manipulate and check (for wages purposes) The only thing I would like to have seen on the machine is an Ethernet port, so I could export the data over our network, but aside from this the machine works well and is reasonably priced.

    A small neat package that really does an excellent job. Straight out of the box it has a look and feel of being well built and durable. Time will tell on that point. It was easy to set up. It claims it can store up to 500 people, I set it up for 5 with no problem. It reads a simple fingerprint to log people in and out. We are using it to monitor usage of a particular piece of equipment, users entering the room now simply touch the sensor when entering and leaving, a lot simpler than the sign in system we used to have. And much simpler than the old time clocks I remember back in the day with their cards and stamps. Being a fingerprint I guess it makes it harder for someone to sign in for you, which I remember doing a fair bit back in the day (I can remember shifts where there 20 people on the shop floor but 40 recorded s being present!) Data comes out as an easy to read Excel spreadsheet. Not finicky data transfer needed, it's just there in an easy to access fashion. I really really like this, it is excellent. 5 stars.
